This restaurant has the best and most delicious breakfast Mexican food in San Antonio. My family loved it! We went there for breakfast 2 mornings in a row it was so delicious. Flour tortillas are soooo good. Pancakes are scrumptious too also huge and fluffy. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant next time we travel to San Antonio.
I had to give this wonderful restaurant 5 stars because #1. The food is so amazing. All homemade. Took me back to my childhood and #2. The service was so friendly and the servers suggestions were on point. The pictures do not do justice to how good the food is.
My wife and I went for breakfast this morning. We had walked for a long time trying to find a place and were a little hangry by the time we got here. It was VERY much worth it. The breakfast was phenomenal and very inexpensive. Highly recommend this place, and really hoping we can go back again before we leave.
The place we planned to go for breakfast was closed so we googled best breakfast in San Antonio and found The Original Blanco Cafe. Glax we tried it. The food was really good and the service was great. Be sure to try their flour tortillas. So fresh, warm and soft. Portions are large so you won't go away hingry.
Order the green enchiladas the sauce is spicy it really makes this dish very good .They are famous for them and
Had it for lunch this place does close early. No dinner menu just have to find parking around the area. There homemade tortillas are great !!! U get a order of two.
Nice and patient staff! I mentioned I just wanted to try their enchilidas, couldn't decided among a few options, and the showed me I could order different types a la care. So I got verde with cheese, and red with beef. Good eats, and that was a lot of food for $6.60 pre-tip.
This Place needs to open back up! The food quality here is simply out of this world! Some people complain about the service. There's a simple solution to that: order take out. I've never had a problem with take out, food has always been hot and delicious! But i'll stop talking so you can see my pictures and video for yourselves.
Came in for a late breakfast/lunch. We had the Steak and Cheese Enchiladas Plate. It was hot and tasty. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. FYI all the locals eat here for breakfast and lunch but the wait is well worth it.
We needed a place to eat but we're not going to settle for fast food. Well at The Original Blanco cafe we got decent food and boy was it fast. I think we ordered and had our food on our table in less than 10 mins. Prices are as good as those fast food joints but with the authenticity of eating at mom's (if she is mexican). Food was piping hot and service was on point..oh and btw - you can have breakfast or lunch in the morning!
Very authentic! We loved San Antonio as a whole, but this place is truly special. Great service. Extremely authentic Mexican. Amazing flavor. Would highly recommend.
The best food we ate all weekend. It was so good. I see why they can get away with only being open until 2pm the place was packed! I had the quesadilla with beef and chicken and the chicken was freaking amazing. I don't normally like bird.
First morning of our holiday weekend in San Antonio, we went to the Original Blanco Cafe and it was a home run! Wife had the Chorizo-quiles plate and I had the Machacado Eggs... Both were fantastic. My plate was perfectly seasoned and balanced in taste. Loved it and the tortillas are fresh and delicious. Our server was Lucy and she was the epitome of professionalism. She served us with a smile, answered questions, and was very welcoming in demeanor. Ask for her when you go... You will not be disappointed. 5 stars for food, service, and environment.
Was referred to go here by a local and is one of the best Mexican places to eat beach in the area. The tortillas are homemade and are like nothing you have ever ate before
Great food and excellent service. Lucy was very helpful with orders and had good suggestions for us. the portions are large. the food was so good I wanted to eat more but couldn't finish. the enchiladas are a must have.
It is essential to eat at a great place like this when visiting San Antonio. Hard working staff provide great service and "classic" tex-mex staples which set you up for a day of exploring. Coffee hits the spot too. Give it a try - you may be surprised! We had excellent pancakes, with eggs and bacon, and eggs migas. 👍🏼😀😷
Great breakfast place. Have eaten breakfast here multiple times over different trips. Quality has been consistently good.
Best flour tortillas there are. Service was a little slow but the food was worth it. Very good.
Highly recommend chorizo-quiles. Delicious.
I picked this place based off of previous reviews and at the time we visited it didn't have a line out the door like my 1st choice. We did wait at the door for about 10 minutes until we got seated but every table was full when we walked in. Hopefully they can add more tables or wait staff soon.🤞 We tried a few dishes such as a carne asada taco, fideo soup, pancake special and the cheese enchiladas!! All were delicious but our favorites quickly became the cheese enchiladas and carne asada. Worth the wait!! We normally wouldn't order cheese enchiladas but had to see why there were so many "foods best" banners hanging about inside. The cheese was so tasty!! Portions were generous and price was worthwhile! Would definitely recommend and return when we're back in San Antonio!!
