Wow! Me and my husband celebrated our anniversary there. We got free champagne. The food was amazing and the service! I would say it is the best food I have eaten here in San Antonio. The chef knows how to work with flavors. The rooftop bar is also sooo beautiful!

I had some doubts as hotel restaurants are not always the best we have seen. When we entered the lobby we knew that Nonna Osteria would be special. We were immediately and professionally greeted. The entrance to the restaurant is lined with wine bottles, in a very nice arrangement. The seating and decor is very well done. Our server was very great, professional and polite. The food was also outstanding and the dessert excellent as well. Five stars well deserved, we will be back!

You will start your meal with some Bread and Tamponade.Great drink options with a large wine list. All of the food was excellent and the portions were just right. Highly recommend the Lobster Ravioli or the Gnocchi. Don’t forget to finish your meal with dessert. The service was excellent!!! Hunter was great! This is a great place for a special occasion or just a night out. They have a lot of construction in the front but they have plenty of parking options

I had an absolutely amazing dining experience here. We are visiting from out of town and decided to have a upscale/fancy dinner. After looking through several downtown locations we decided on this place, based on the Italian cuisine and excellent pictures posted by other reviews. This restaurant did not disappoint! The location was very close to our downtown hotel, easy to walk to. It’s located in an old hotel and the bar is in the lobby, creating a very cool aesthetic. The interior decor was tasteful and inviting. We received kind and friendly service from the waitstaff and enjoyed the warm environment. The food - it was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We ordered a caprese salad and patate frite as appetizers, and then had carbonara and bolenese for the entrees. It was all prepared with much care and the flavor was delicious. We had dessert here as well - ordering the tiramisu and a double scoop of lemon sorbet and Mexican vanilla gelato (the gelato was AMAZING). Overall, I would highly recommend eating here for a nice, upscale dinner.

Different locations, different menus, but the same great dedication to accepting nothing less than perfection with every plate and bite served. Having tried only the uptown location recently, I was worried that one location was to be markedly better than the other, and I'd have to choose the next time I wanted incredible high-end yet homemade Italian. Thankfully, for the denizens of San Antonio, each location can stand on its own! I never thought that Chef Luca, his cooks, and staff would ever rest on their laurels, and thankfully, yet again, I have been proven right. I look forward to my next chance to dine again at Nonna's Osteria.

This place was good. Didn't quite know what to expect going in to the place just knew it was a fancier than normal Italian place. The service was great and the food was even better. We had a few questions about menu items and they were thoroughly answered and helped us pick our dinners. Everything we tried was delicious. We loved the atmosphere, it was quiet enough to allow for casual conversation. They even offered valet. It was great!

Nice itialian food with fantastic presentation. Was expecting a whole fresh burrata than a completely melted one. Also, more of butter and less cheese flavors. Nice ambiance and great service. Our staff was very friendly and quick.

When we arrived the entrance is through a wine display and it looked amazing. Manager/servers/host were all very attentive and knowledgeable. Food was delicious but a bit overpriced for the quality. I got the wild boar and it was well worth the price. My wife got the lobster and it was such a small quantity for $35 It was a bit ridiculous. My mom got the $70 pasta with black truffle and literally there was like 8 shavings of truffle. Delicious plate tho but not $70 delicious. Overall food was very good but not amazing. Tab came out to around $260. But definitely can get same quality for for under $200 at a different location. Great place tho I would still recommend!!

The olive tapanade and bread pieces they bring out when you arrive was good. Octopus appetizer was delicious! Had to try the pasta Tartofu, with the lump crab and truffles. I was surprised to find out it was $70.00 a plate! So my husband and I split it. I'm glad we did! Very good but also very rich! I would almost suggest getting it as a taster with 4-6people so that everyone gets try it, along with your salads and entree's! Very interesting!! Would definitely recommend this place!! Small place, would recommend reservations.

Cocktails were fabulous, the caprese salad was delightful! (Pictured) Ordered the bolognese entree and it was very good, my boyfriend ordered the Gnocchi and said it was the best thing he’s had in a long time. The service was friendly, and prompt. Parking was readily available across the street. It does get a little loud in the dining room, but all in all it was a great experience!

Fabulous and satisfied dinner here. Five stars restaurant setup. Professional and friendly check-in services in the industry. Restaurant service even beyond my expectations. Cocktails was tasty and well thought out. Food was beyond my expectations as well. Ingredients, seasoning, cooking, flavors and potion are five stars hotel. I get to taste some flavors I never have before. Small menu but well thought out. Highly recommended.

One of the best dining experiences in awhile. Food was very good, highly recommend the branzino! The goat cheese appetizer was excellent; the burrata underwhelming. Drinks at the bar were just okay. Nice wine list. Hunter our waiter was outstanding. Attentive but not obtrusive. Would skip the big cheese pasta bowl but a nice visual. Nice environment. Would be glad to return.

What a wonderful restaurant! All of the river walk restaurants are so crowded and honestly not as good so I walked 10 min off of the river and was pleasantly surprised. I got the goat cheese appetizer and the carbonara. They also came out with bread and olive dip. The bread was so delicious that I had to take some leftovers home. The service is great and the waiters are kind and thoughtful. Will be back next time I’m in SAT!

Friendly service, nice atmosphere. The noddles were cooked just right, you can feel the bounce of it. The cheese was not too overwhelming. I didn't feel sick from the cheese after a couple bites. Texture wise, I think all of them were great. It would be perfect if the lobster can have a bit more texture to it. The biggest downside was that it was too salty for both our main dishes. Just the main dishes, the appetizers were fine.

The food here was unbelievably delicious. We walked in without a reservation and got a seat at the bar since the place is always so busy. The bartenders were amazing, and the service was extremely quick. I would come back!

Holy moly! San Antonio has a legit and beautiful northern Italian restaurant. We started with the arancini and goat cheese/pesto apps, had the cinghiale (wild boar) pasta and carbonara with guanciale (pig jowls/cheeks) for mains, sorbeto for dessert, great drinks, and burrata to go. Best of all was the service we experienced from the hostess to our amazing server Raykiea to the floor manager. From start to end, this was a memorable anniversary dinner experience which reminded us of our meals in northern Italy. Una buona forchetta…complimenti!

It's a fine fine Italian restaurant that comes with a cool modern decor and lively ambience. The entrance has view of their extensive collection of wines. We ordered red wine, a Montepulciano, D'Abruzzo Masciarell and a Cabernet Sauvignon, Tellus, Umbria. Both were quite good. For food, we ordered their Carbonara pasta and Atomica pizza. The pasta was not dry, had a delicious sauce and bits of crunchy salty Guanciale. The Atomica pizza is heavenly. It contains Mozzarella, Tomato, Spicy Sausage, Onions, Jalapeños, Cherry Tomatoes, and Peperonata. It's hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever had the fortune of tasting. Don't miss it! The staff is polite and helpful. Reservations are recommended, as there can be long waiting time. The place is so good, it's almost always full! We went in for my partner's birthday dinner and we had a delightful time at Nonna! Would love to go back to try other things on their menu. If you're San Antonio, and in the mood for some top notch Italian food, Nonna is the place to be.
