This place is really good. The first visit here I got the a cheeseburger well done. I usually have to send my food back because most places can't comprehend well done but the chef here got it right! The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. I went back on 11/3/17 and got the chicken fingers and curly fries and it was great also. Everyone in my party loved their food. The wait staff is great and the place isn't too loud. I definitely recommend and will be back.
Was originally going to go to First Watch on I-10 and Wurzbach but the wait was too long. So we decided to try out Embers Wood Fire Grill & Bar. I was a little skeptical but to my surprise everything was delicious. Between the five of us we ordered the ribs, the salmon, a pizza and the turkey burger. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the ribs were excellent, the pizza was fabulous and the turkey burger was outstanding. Our waitress was super friendly and very attentive. I live in the neighborhood and I've never tried this place but I'll definitely be going back. Great job and keep up the good work.

This restaurant is an excellent place to have a little romantic lunch/dinner. We were seated quickly, and had a great dinner! The server was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. The bar was beautiful & the food was outstanding! I would definitely recommend this establishment.
Let me start out with the service. Our server Lisa was awesome. She was attentive and personable. The manager Steven came over to see how everything was. He was friendly and genuine. The food was sooooo good. The Jalapeño Mac and Cheese was everything you want in a homemade dish. The pizza was awesome and well worth it. I highly recommend it. Everyone there made sure we had a great night out.
Went for dinner, had great service, excellent food! Ordered the chips & queso, wasnât anything special. The steaks from the wood fired grill however were amazing and the jalapeño Mac & Cheese made up for the mediocre queso. Our waitress was Alexa, top notch service from this gal! Cant wait to go back again and try out a pizza! They looked AHHHMAZING!
I have been going in since they opened. Service and food have always been beyond great. Definitely recommend anyone who is wondering about the place to go in and enjoy the food. Ribs are better then most BBQ places I have been to.

We keep coming back just for the jalapeno mac and cheese! They use medium sized pasta shells, drenched in a white cheese sauce with chopped jalapenos, and baked with a lightly crunchy top. Its soooooo decadent! Best mac and cheese ever!
Every time I visit Embers I have a great experience. My friends and I have always had great service while the food is superb. My favorite is the steak & mushroom pizza with a glass (or bottle) of Moscato wine. Our latest visit our waiter was Ahmy who was very attentive even though the restaurant was quite busy. Thanks Embers!
Our family came to Embers last night for dinner & our partyâs reservation somehow was lost in the confusion of the hostâs station. They were so busy that the managerâs wife jumped up from having her meal to help out behind the bar! We waited for a while, but the manager/owner was so nice & paid for a couple rounds of drinks for 8 people & 3 appetizers once we were finally sat. We would definitely return because of how gracious & apologetic the staff was. Our waitress was amazing & so sweet. The atmosphere was great, the food was phenomenal (get the jalapeño mac & cheese!), & the restaurant itself was gorgeous. Thank you, Embers, for being so accommodating! We will be returning!
Excellent service & great food ! You can tell the staff helps each other out. The food was delicious....ordered Cajun chicken pasta( highly recommend) has just the right amount of kick!
Had my family in from all parts of Texas, and we wanted to take them to Embers. You guys blew their mind. Steaks were PERFECTLY cooked, the flavor 10 stars!! The Pinapple Burger was the most decadent burger I've ever had. All 6 of us just gloated to the server and manager. Most importantly give that cook a raise, that person KNOWS how to cook. As locals thank you for taking such wonderful care of my family and giving us a wonderful memory together.

This place was cool. Great atmosphere...almost like a "Cheers" place. The wood fire pizza is awesome!! Highly recommended if you are in San Antonio.

The food, atmosphere and service has always been amazing when we go here!!! It's my husband's favorite restaurant in San Antonio (and we have been to A LOT of places). Never disappoints, highly recommend this place!
All the food was delicious. The loaded fries with the fried jalapeno where the so good we had to order three orders. The jalapeno/mac an cheese was đ. Chicken fried chicken, steak and. The chicken strips were great. Pizza was made on oak wood and it tasted great
So, when am I not craving a huge chunk of meat? Since I am not from this city, not even the same state, I wanted to make a good choice. I went through the options on google and this place popped up with a good number of positive reviews and pictures that made you wonder, should I be trying this? Itâs decent, itâs a hunk of meat and you canât really go wrong with that. Medium rare and juicy so whoever cooked it, I hope theyâre cooking for everybody who orders the steak. The staff was quite nice, bartender/ server made fun conversation and was a lot of help with my questions. She didnât have to try hard to talk me into dessert, but she sure did help with helping me choose which one and even suggested that I could even add caramel and chocolate to give it a little something extra. Itâs a cozy place with a wood fire for those pizza type of nights. Itâs quite spaces and the parking seem plentiful. So why not?
Great steaks cooked to perfection and topped with garlic butter. The slaw needed more dressing but the fire baked pizza was an added pleasure. The Expresso Martini was great and the fried jalapenos were excellent.
Nice place to eat for lunch without a lot of noise. Their lunch specials are great and still give enough to fill you up. I ordered my streak medium rare and it came out very juicy and tender. The steamed broccoli was still crispy and not wilted like I've had at other places. Loved that I could upgrade to the loaded baked potatoe.
Always a great place to grab lunch. I tried the flounder with lemon cream sauce and it was delicious. We also ordered a sausage, pepperoni and extra cheese pizza. As usual, it was perfect.
Late bloomer coming here but really enjoyed it. Smelt really good as I walked in. This visit I really wanted to check out their cocktails at the bar. It was a very pleasant experience. Very talkative bartenders and staff. Jukebox was not blaring at a ridiculous volume. Megan was a very kind and great bartender. She introduced me to a "watermelon whiskey sour" and it was super! I'd love to return and try some food! Maybe I'll see you there! đ€
My husband and I came here for a date night. We've been looking for a good fire grilled Pizza since moving to San Antonio. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We got a buffalo chicken and Supreme pizza,wings and cheesecake. We each also had a drink from the bar, that we enjoyed also. It was all delicious! I love that they have such a large variety of items on the menu. We will definitely be back to try more!
I joined four of my friends here for lunch. Everyone really liked the food, however the menu is very limited on selections. I will say they have great pizza but this time I ordered the three little pigs. This is one of my favorite dishes here. You get three pork shanks and two sides. I ordered mashed potatoes and broccoli. If you like carnitas you will love this dish!! I also hear they have good burgers, but I've never tried one.
Food and service were great. My wife loved her burger and the pork ribs were tender. I asked for my pork rib sauce on the side and the server charged me an extra dollar for a âside of sauceâ. Because of this I took one star away.
The wood fired pizza was delicious, and when paired with an Expresso Martini you can't go wrong. The steak was cooked to perfection and topped with garlic butter which intensifies the flavor. The coleslaw was lacking flavor but the mashed potatoes made up for it. Overall, a pleasant place for a steak.
