My husband and I LOVE Jim’s. Weekend mornings are busy but the food is always made to order and great! And if it’s not, they’re always happy to fix it for you. Coffee is always hot, which is most important to me!
It’s a little messy but it’s a busy place. We will forever love it here
Be sure to try the biscuits with sausage gravy. THE BEST THING ON THE MENU!

Jim’s is a great place to eat. The food is excellent. The place is clean. The staff is friendly.
My negative on this location on this visit is the staff took forever to greet and seat me. They were too busy talking amongst themselves to bother with just acknowledging me. Service was slow tonight.
Place is pretty good for a hearty breakfast. This visit I had the Texas omelet. Omelet is stuffed with cheese, ham and bacon. Of course it also has the veggies in it. Wife had the pork chop breakfast with a couple over medium eggs and a side of French toast. Staff is always friendly and quick.
Awesome service, fast, friendly, and very attentive staff. Food was on point, and our server was quick with the drink refills. This was definitely a great experience.

Service was excellent. The only thing I didn't care for too much was the food. It was really bland with not much flavoring, and the green beans were still frozen. 😖
I'm very disappointed, especially since I've heard a ton of great things about the Thanksgiving Dinner Plate from Jim's from quite a few people.
We'll definitely be trying somewhere else next year. 😦🫤😒🫨
My wife and I go to this Jim's for breakfast almost every day. We keep going here because certain wait staff (Marcus, Christy, Jo, Josie, and Netty) are the absolute best. They really care and take so good care of us that we feel like family. They all deserve raises!
Excellent food and service. They have a great menu. Everything is good. Definitely come here hungry. The portions are just like Texas...BIG! Pancakes are amazing too

I have not to a Jim's in a long time. I actually think the last time was when I did not possess a phone. Lol. My daughter and I went there for lunch when we were in the area from visiting family. Nice place, it was bigger inside than it looked from the outside. They sat us down quickly, our server was a gentleman. He did his job well he even had the patience for us and our delayed time of choosing what we wanted. The food was delicious but the dessert was even better. We had a great time. We will go back again if we are in the area.
Went here today for lunch and it was a little busy. Was told it would be a 20 min wait, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waiter was very energetic and super friendly. The food tasted so delicious. Everything about this place really surprised us, because from the outside it just looks like an old diner. If you haven’t been, give it a try.
The a/c was not working, and it made for a bad experience. The food was pretty standard for brunch at Jim's. My daughter loved her eggs Benedict, my niece enjoyed her pancakes with a huge side of hash browns. The enchiladas were OK. I shared the patty melt with my wife and we both enjoyed it. The onion rings are always my favorite.
Always a perfect breakfast! Forget the other breakfast restaurants. Delightful service. Offers a variety of foods throughout the day.
Edit:
Months later it is consistently delicious!
Jim's is awesome! It is a unique atmosphere with good food and great servers. Breakfast is the best in my opinion!
Came here October 1st for dinner. We were seated right away. The food and service was very good. About the only disappointment was the toast was a little burnt, but not bad.
I'm sure we will be back a lot.
I'm so glad the South Texas Eggs Benedict Jalopeno gravy skillet is back. It's only available during the San Antonio Rodeo. Well it's my favorite and Jim's didn't disappoint! My daughter's Eggs Benedict, hashbrowns, and fruit was prepared fresh, hot, and she enjoyed it. The dining room was clean, and our waiter was fast, helpful, and friendly.
Nice calm atmosphere, somewhat nostalgic. Food was phenomenal. Staff were friendly but service was lackluster.
The food was very delicious. I highly recommend this place I’m a local.
I went in for a Famous Jim’s Charbroiled burger but opted for the Chicken and Swiss, Strawberry pie, and Strawberry Lemonade! Delish! I won’t be eating again until Thursday ;) Jim’s has always been a staple in San Antonio as long as I can remember. Good food, warm employees. Consistent. It’s a good thing!
