We stumbled onto this place while spending a night at Hotel Emma. We went early, around 5 pm, and were the only ones there, but not for long. They were very accommodating for folks like me with gluten intolerance and could suggest vegan and vegetarian options on top of that. My husband and I were amazed at the appealing options and started with the refried bean hummus which was delicious. I had the St. Anthony tofu burger and loved it. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and checked with the kitchen on any questions I had. We were so pleasantly surprised and can’t wait to tell our friends and go back. They said they put their heart and soul into their food, and it shows.

Was visiting out of town and staying close to the AT&T. Was looking for a place both me, a vegetarian could eta and place my dad could eat, who is not vegetarian. This place had a great list of options for the both of us. Food was extremely good. And the price was not too bad. Paid $33 for 2 meals that could be taken for leftovers and a Mexican soda. Nice atmosphere. And they had a great outdoor patio that was spacious and had games. If I lived in SA, I'd go here often with my pups. Oh! And Great service too.

Hubby and I enjoyed a delicious meal this week at Grayze. We participated in the Culinaria menu, meaning that we each got an appetizer, a main entrée, and a dessert for $35. Hubby chose a chorizo flatbread, bratwurst with sauerkraut, fries, and banana pudding. I got a bowl of Smoked Tomato-Grilled Cheese soup, the SA Burger with beef, beans, avocados, and some other additions, fries with hot Cheetos and melted cheese, and a dark chocolate pudding cupcake. Everything was delicious! Can't wait to try their great patio area this summer!

Absolutely amazing menu, an incredible surprise every time we order something new. The fish tacos were a highlight on our last visit. Brunch on Sundays is lovely, it was difficult to try everything on the buffet because we wanted seconds of everything, including the meat selections that day. Very robust beverage selection (they carry Tecate roja in a can, like it should always be), very comfortable accommodations and even a small area out back for the kiddos to run around. Friendliest staff in town, always very accommodating and attentive. If you haven't tried Grayze yet, you are really missing out, brunch on Sundays is a must, wear your big pants, you will need the extra space.

I was here for this past Sundays brunch and I couldn't have had a better experience. There was a wait to be seated, but what do you expect for a Sunday brunch at a scratch kitchen. They had a cool Bulleit Bourbon promotion that day to help make the time pass and it was well worth it. I ordered the French Toast with some sides and I couldn't have asked for a better presentation the meal was beautiful and was equally delicious. I've already booked a large mid-week event and plan on frequenting this establishment.

Not only was each brunch plate (read: Plate o' Bacon, Eggs Benedict Barbacoa, and French Toast) fabulous, but our server, Eric, was out of this world! Best brunch in years!

Dinner at Grayze is always amazing and wonderful but went for brunch for the first time on Sunday and it was mind blowing! Love the creative menu and the care in which each meal is prepared and presented. Wow.

We popped in for some late lunch on a Tuesday, it wasn't busy at all. The service was good and food came out fast. We ordered the Thai-flavored Brussel sprouts to start. They pack a ton of flavor, but not too crispy, just drowning in the Thai sauce. The fried onions were chewy and tasted a day or two too old. The pimento cheese could've been better. The toast didn't taste fresh at all, but still worth an order next time. We also got the Philly cheesesteak with fries. The sandwich is amazing and super savory. The fries could've been crispier, but they're paired with their house made ketchup which made it better. The ketchup was my favorite part of everything. Overall, the place is great. Lots of seating outdoors as well and beautiful art pieces available for purchase as well.

Don’t let the outside fool you: this place has modern decor inside and a colorful patio outside in the back. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and offered wonderful suggestions. The Mac Pastor is the greatest take on Mac and cheese I’ve had anywhere, and all the food was prepared and plated so thoughtfully. Bring your friends, a date, or even your parents to impress them at this lovely place.

Very good lunch restaurant, modern decoration, great service. Their "plethora", a vegetarian noodle soup with optional fried egg, is among the best of its kind, and my kids enjoyed thoroughly their burgers. My wife said her BLT was better than NOLA's.

The cocktails at the bar are highly recommended. An older couple slid down so we could sit together. They were so gracious and beautiful and the hostess is sweet too. The Restaurant Week menu for brunch was different from the weekday. Maybe experimental? I hear the dinner and lunch menu are amazing. Drinks yeah perfect mimosas, definitely more champagne than orange juice. and some Signature cocktail - a ginger delicious thing. We think the male staff uniform should be the same black tank tops and Daisy Dukes shorts with the roll-up cuff. Be fair, the male staff aren't wearing bras either. The place is beautiful. Simple and feels spacious.

My wife and I came to eat on Friday night around 7 or 8. Charming atmosphere, pretty busy inside and out on the patios, but we were lucky and got seated quickly by the friendly host. I'm always interested in trying "farm-to-table" eateries with an emphasis on locally sourced components. Grayze has a pretty ecclectic menu at first glance, which is what had me interested initially, but they're probably best at gourmet twists on burgers and classic comfort food. Our server was good. They have several interesting cocktails to try and a good wine and beer menu. Trying to save a little money so we didn't partake this time. Not that the menu is unexpectedly expensive, but drinks are $5 - $15 each(beer at the bottom; cocktails, quality wines at top end). Appetizer: We went with Thai pan-fried Brussel Sprouts. These were a little disappointing, but honestly I've had Brussels sprouts apps at many restaurants now in this price range (Down on Grayson recently) , and it seems like I always feel like they come off as oily, bland, and not quite as crispy as I'd hope. Yea I'm that guy that keeps ordering pizza and complaining because it has cheese on it I guess, but I have had really great pan fried Brussels several times, so I keep hoping- Each time they've been at much pricier places though. Main Courses: I had "The Bird." Pretty light dish, but significant flavor and vibrant presentation. It's pan seared chicken over veggie orzo pasta, with lemon pepper jus - which was a superb choice balance the fattiness of the perfectly cooked chicken and bright vegetable tapenade. $16. Highly recommend. My wife had the "blackened trout Po boi". Another somewhat lighter dish. Sounded good in theory , but didn't pull it off for me at this price point. If you're going to serve a sandwich with something delicate like trout fillet the bread has to be outstanding or invisible. The stale, thick, overbearing hoagie roll killed what was already a mediocre offering. This was a fun place, really cool atmosphere. Would like to try it for brunch. I'm sure we ordered the wrong things for dinner, as they have an emphasis on high-end burgers and staple sandwiches. We might visit again, but we don't eat beef or pork so we're probably never going to get what they're best at.

The dinner menu has solid and delicious choices. Their brunch menu is a solid array of comfort food done in a unique way. Cocktails are good at any hour.

We've been wanting to try this place for a while and today was the day for Saturday brunch. It was in the Pearl area but on the other side, away from the clustered restaurants. Street parking was available and there were a few other restaurants on the same street. It looked like a home that was converted into a restaurant. Very nicely done and homey! We chose to sit inside since it was a hot day. I tried the drink Cello Bella which was strong. My husband had the Irish Sunrise, the color looked like mimosa. My husband started off with the Camerrone de Verde which looked very tasty. I had a piece of shrimp and it seemed like ceviche on tostada. I had the pork belly burger which came with potato salad. I misread and thought it was 2 pieces of pork belly but instead it was 2 burger patties with 1 pork belly in between. I was only able to eat half the sandwich. The potato salad was different with a vinaigrette instead of the mayo type. The gentleman at the next table said that this style was more German. I had never had it this way and it was delicious! My husband had the avocado and tomatoes on toast with side salad and he really enjoyed that. We ended with the beignets with the coffee caramel sauce. The sauce was awesome! Brought us to NOLA! I want to go back and try the chicken and waffles next time!

This was a nice place and the staff was great. I'm grain free at the moment and the choice of food provided for me was perfect. Got the burger with no bun and a side of scrambled eggs and it was delicious. Definitely coming back when I visit San Antonio again!

This is a real gem! The service was great! And the food was amazing! The filet on the benedict was so tender and the grits texture was perfect on the shrimp and grits!

Great service and outstanding food. Will definitely come back next time I'm in San Antonio. Parking is a little scarce on the street. I recommend coming outside of the normal rush times. I dropped in around 11:30 and it was easy to park and the place was almost empty. But as the clock passed noon the people flowed in and it was packed by the time I left.

Was just an off chance that we stopped here. I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The wait staff was attentive. Food was interesting and tasty. For a chill spot just outside of downtown for some drinks and good eats, I'd definitely recommend. My meal was the avacado toast. So yummy! It was suposed to come with an over medium egg on top and I ended up getting it after this pic. Didn't care about that mistake tho. Was great. :)

Chicken and Waffles for Sunday brunch! Food was delicious. Great cocktails too. Very relaxed and casual dining. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is on-street and very limited, but it is only two blocks from the Pearl Brewery complex with plenty of free parking.

Came here a few sundays ago and omg.... one of the best brunches I had ever had! The food was beautifully plated and each bite was full of flavor and texture. The cocktails were also amazing. We definitely want to go back and try some other items. Only complaint was that our server was just not the happiest. Being someone who has worked in restaurants for some times as a server, she just did not give a very pleasant vibe. She did not smile, make eye contact. We felt like a burden and tried not to ask for much. She seemed just unhappy which was offputting for our amazing Sunday trying new places. But besides that, food wise... you wont regret it!

Parking wasnt bad when we went, but I could see it being hard during peak hours. Street parking for the most part. The floors in this place creak super bad. I don't know why, but this annoyed me. The hostess didnt have the best attitude, but our server was great. Food came out fresh, correct, and timely. Burgers are a little hard to eat, but delish. Mac n cheese was a little less traditional and I loved it.

Really awesome place to eat, drink, and be merry! Great service. The inside of the place doesn’t seat very many but outside has a large shaded area to seat large groups. We had about 20 on the night we were there, and everyone agreed the service and the food were both sehr gut! Several in the group had the burgers and everyone agreed they were “outta this world!” I did the usual boring thing and had the Cauliflower Love. It was steamed cauliflower, lemon dill vinaigrette, red onion, red sweet peppers, tomato, and toasted almonds. It was pretty good but don’t ask me how they got the cauliflower yellow. Several in our group asked me that and I had no answer for them. All I can tell you is that it was very good! Please note that they do not appear to have a parking lot, so you have to park on the street. Not a big deal though, we only had to walk a couple of blocks. …and then there was the hidden speak easy across the street. But that is a review for another time my fellow Yelpers.

I had the sausage and potato hash plate. This was my first time here and we waited over 40 minutes from when we ordered our food to when we got it. I wanted to say something about the wait but i didnt. I could hear the tables next to us put in complaints about there food taking over an hour. They were upset that our table got food first and we arrived after them. I dont know maybe something happened and they were short handed. The food was very good. I would try again when im in town.
