I'm a happy hour regular here, but met a friend for lunch. OMG, amazing! I had the pecan crusted snapper which was done to perfection and served with veggies and mashed potatoes. I could hardly finish it as there were two large pieces of fish. There is a nice by the glass wine list, and our server Paige was wonderful. Plus, this is a place you can actually hold a conversation in because it's not noisy! Great little neighborhood gem!
Upscale, yet cozy bistro. Friendly service with delicious food.
Walking into Frederick's lobby you are always greeted immediately, often by Frederick (the owner) himself. I'm always drawn to the beautiful flower arrangements that quickly draw your eye. The restaurant is upscale and there are a variety of French/Asian fusion dishes. The bar area welcoming. As a solo business traveler, I feel at ease to sit at the bar and able to strike up a conversation with many of the regulars that live in the area.
We've been eating here since they opened the Military Highway & Huebner location. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food is exquisite, the presentation is always both playful and impressive, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. In short, this place is everything you want in fine dining experience.
A hidden gem!. Wifey and I went to Frederick's Bistro on a busy Saturday with another couple. They couldn't book a table on OpenTable, but were able to make reservations by phone - nice! Ambiance is nice. Climate-controlled wine room with some tasty-looking bottles of high-end vino caught my eye. Ambiance and staff are upscale but not stuff. Our server was great, with just the right touch of sarcastic wit! Menu was appropriately limited. Specials were not a rehash of menu items. We found a reasonably priced bottle (well two actually) of white wine to help wash down our seafood. Everyone enjoyed their fish (halibut, sea bass) or scallops. Food was beautifully presented, very hot, fresh, and special. Sea bass had truffle and scallops curry. We sinned with cheesecake (very good - the dessert, not us) and a strong, bright but not bitter cup of cappuccino. OVERALL: EXCELLENT. A MUST!

Don't be fooled by the strip mall ambience. Frederick's deliver Asian/French fusion to the T. Great date night for those that don't want to deal with downtown/la canterra pkwy traffic. Enjoy the duck confit with a bottle of Ravenswood followed by the Apple Crips, can't go wrong!

Fantástico. Simple y delicioso! Love the crab cake, parmesan crusted fish with avocado relish. Desserts! Omg so hard to decide between Souffle, Apple crepia, isla flotante.... Great french with asían fusión menú

Classy. Great atmosphere with some of the best scallops in the city. Fresh, moist, and properly cooked and seasoned.
Great Food. I've been there a number of times. The place is beautiful for being in a shopping center. Staff is excellent (don't interrupt to ask if you want more tea or water - love that) and friendly. Food!!!!!! WOW!!!! I love lamb. Did I mention I liked lamb.... Honestly, the best in town. I've never had a bad experience here. Only recommendation I'd give is I wish they'd do a bit more with the desserts. They are all pretty average and really aren't anything that makes say "I want to try that". Otherwise, I recommend it to everyone.
Fine dining at it's best. This restaurant had an interesting menu which was executed flawlessly. It wasn't a menu that had just a few standouts. I knew as soon as I read it that, was the food good, I would be back again and again.The service was attentive and not stuffy at all. We saw the owner patrolling the dining room constantly, paying special attention every time a plate was served to ensure that it arrived to the table up to his standards. You could tell that this was someone who cared about his buisness and his costomers. Not a place we can afford to visit often. But, we will continue to return on special occasions to work our way though the menu.

Great French fare. While the menu doesn't change to much the quality is both superb and consistent. It is my wife favorite Restaurant for that reason, their sauces are absolutely delicious and a lot of other restaurant could go and take a lesson, after all sauces are the corner stone of French cuisine
Hey the food here was fantastic--every bit as good as the original Fredericks, but don't get the idea that it will cost you 10-15 per entree. To be fair, the duck pizza (appetizer) was only $13 and it was truly excellent. The waitstaff seemed a bit disorganized, but the atmosphere is nice. If you like French food give this place a shot. If you're looking for a cheaper fredericks or impeccable service, probably not.
Best ever!. The food here is phenomenal! The fish is always cooked to perfection, and the portions are generous. They have a great happy hour with reasonably priced appetizers and drinks. Plenty of cute and attentive waitresses to make the experience even more enjoyable! I have yet to be disappointed, even as a weekly visitor.

Parmesan Halibut
The carrots were slightly crunchy and a bit undercooked. 4/10
Broccoli was perfect. Had a nice savory steamed taste. 8/10
The potato was sweet. It was nice and firm, yet soft of the point of eating it comfortably. Wonderful. 7/10
Asparagus was nice and easy to chew. It adds to the accent of the flavor, but it also feels slightly out of proportion with the rest of the savory flavor as the vegetable itself tends to come bitter. Maybe a bit more seasoning. 5/10 The bottom of the Asparagus was very bitter and more on the crunchy side. 3/10
The pesto complimented the halibut very nicely. It has a nice twang to it that goes very, very well with the meat. 6/10
The fish itself could use some salt. It was nice, crispy, and flaky. I was slightly disappointed because of the lack of parmesan in the fish. I could barely taste it. The fish tasted amazing in the garnish 7/10

Rum Euphoria
The cake was amazing. It was moist and cool. The berry garnish was the sweetest berries I ever had. The rum used on the cake was also a perfect compliment to the chocolatey outer layer. Perfectly executed! 10/10

Our waiter, Ryan, was absolutely amazing. He was so wonderful and smelled nice. Everyone needs a Ryan as a server. It was my birthday so he brought me a giant sparkly candle cake!!
This is not a big restaurant with quiet pretty decorations, there's soft instrumental music is playing. The service is excellent.
The food is pricey. And is not amazing, I would say. My brussel sprouts weren't cooked through and Frederick's salad missed dressing it seemed. Blue cheese salad was quite tasteless.
The restroom is only one and it definitely needs some cosmetic repairs, beginning from its door.
Awesome menu; it’s hard to choose. I got the salmon; it was delicious, with sweet Thai chili sauce. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. The Brussel sprouts were also delicious.
I’ve been dining here for years, and it is fantastic. Regardless of occasion, special event or just happy hour with cocktails and appetizers, everything is delicious, well presented, and impeccably served. Our most recent outing was Valentine’s Day dinner. Once again, Frederick’s did not disappoint!
My first time there and enjoyed it. The staff were friendly, courteous, and attentive. Although I was there for happy hour with friends, the appetizers offered were delicious. We shared the Paris Pizza, calamari, and chicken stuffed bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. Delicious! Highly recommend this place.
This place is exquisite!!! So delicious and everything i had i absolutly loved it. The duck just melts in your mouth and the lamb wow...the vietnemise dumplings were so delicious and the split pea soup was phenomenal...i can eat that soup every day...lived across the st from this place for over a year and a half and finally tried it...def fine dining and delicious...so glad i tried it finally!!! The atmosphere is very quaint and comfortable with dim lighting atmosphere..def recomend this place 100 times over!!!!!

The service- outstanding Always! I’ve come for lunch, brunch, dinner, drinks… it’s brilliant!
The food-the food… you know when you leave a place and you’ve just finished eating and you get in your car and go home…. Well, I promise that from the first moment this food hits your taste buds until you finish- you will savor every morsel and revel in every bite- yep, ITS THAT GOOD! When you leave here you won’t be able to stop saying, “That food was soooo good!”

Last night we had the Brussels sprouts- you’ve had ‘em… but these are elevated!! The sauce is divine - kind of a Thai chili deal but better!
Then there were the Oysters Casino- good gravy- my eyes rolled back in my head- lightly cooked and topped with bacon🙄👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻yes, bacon!! Every bite melted in my mouth! Then the calamari siting on a bed of noodles… the sauce !! The sauce!! Slightly tangy - not your run of the mill marinara - then the beautiful sautéed spinach with garlic - it’s what I remembered most about Florence and theirs brought me right back to the Altra Arno! Then the Trout! Lightly season and grilled so it had a lovely crust and moist and tender inside❤️❤️❤️so good! The Calamari & the sprouts and the spinach were large enough to share between 4 ppl! The bartender at the bar makes a mean dirty, dry martini! & she’s the one who suggested the Oysters Casino for which we will be forever grateful! My brother ordered the chops and they were gorgeous little pork pops! To keep saying the food was “good” is too little, the food is out of this world every time we come here! Come here with the intent of staying to enjoy and savor! And it’s not because the food comes out late it’s because you deserve to enjoy this experience because it’s not everyday you get food this good so when you do , slow down and take it in!
We finished with the desert “trio” and it did not disappoint and again - 4 ppl shared it and it was perfect!

Impromptu decision to have dinner tonight @fredericks_bistro. Happy hour is on Mondays through Saturdays from 4pm to 7pm in the bar area. No reservations.
Dad had the Lemonade, my husband had the Chardonnay, and I had the Shiraz. The soup of the day was Lemongrass soup with Vermicelli. It reminded me of Thai soup. We shared the Calamari with Spicy Chinese Noodles, Vietnamese Dumplings, and Duck Liver Mousse. The dumplings were so delicate and light, we added another order! For the sweet ending, we had the Frederick's Trio, which was Chocolate Terrine, Rum Euphoria, and Creme Brulee! Everything was delicious, we finished it all! It took no time for all the food to come out and Ryne was great.
Met Frederick for the first time today. He was born in North Vietnam, and I heard from Ryne that most of the food is Frederick's Mom's recipe. Love it ❤️

Always a great meal here. Wait staff tends to look busy but never busy with your table. We have to ask for water refills and they are very skimpy with providing bread and butter for the table. Prices have gone up since the last we were there a year ago. They had a mediocre wine selection. I wanted a glass of the Cakebread Chardonnay but I had to buy the bottle and it was only I drinking wine. Calamari appetizer is the best in town in my opinion. Large strips of lightly breaded calamari sits on a bed of asian style noodles with a sweet and sour sauce. All their desserts are wonderful also.

I didn't know this place existed. We were headed to Naples restaurant but they were closed today. On the way out of the parking lot we saw Frederick's Bistro and thought we would try it. We are so glad we did. We loved it. We will be coming back frequently and bringing our mother as well. The food was served very hot and portions were more than adequate. I have the soup, salad and half sandwich combo. It was a welcomed new twist on New England clam chowder. I chose the Frederick's house salad which consisted of cut cherry tomatoes and little chunks of hard white cheeses will say basil balsamic vinaigrette. Very delicious. My sandwich was a fried chicken on whole wheat nut bread. I'm sure it was homemade. We started off with a calamari appetizer that was to die for. I will be having that every visit. My brother had the quiche Florentine. It seemed to be upscale yet not snooty. Wait staff was very friendly. Beautiful white linen tablecloths starched attractive napkins, water and wine goblets.
