They don't speak good English, and my taco was wrong, but it was still good. I ordered a crispy taco, and I got a beef fajita crispy taco. Their fajita meat is good. I like their different salsa's. I'm not a fan of their tortillas, though. They are hard. Other than that, their food is pretty good.
I'm still not a big fan of the Nacho cheese, but this was definitely fresher than the Stone Oak location. All the chips were fresh and crispy.
I've been coming here for years I moved to Alamo Heights in 2011 and been coming here ever since of course I didn't like when their prices went up but that was just part of the beginning of inflation but their food has always been on point. When covid hit just about every restaurant got a makeover or bar and this place here got a nice makeover. The inside is way nicer now with new tables and new chairs and a new floor just making it very much better the only thing I don't like about it but they do to listen to you is that it is super cold in there but I talked to the manager they already know me but they're super nice there and I talk to the manager and they turned down the AC as soon as you asked so that's why I still given five stars because they literally listen to you they won't tell you like "oh we have to leave it that way because everybody else likes it.."
no they turned it down and I was like oh that feels much better.
but the food is delicious I've had all types of stuff here and it's never disappointing and the staff is really nice I mean I can say I am being biased because I have been coming here since 2011 of course it had turnovers just like any other fast food place or restaurant but the employees are always super nice here and if you have an issue with the food they will take care of it I've had some times where I've gotten some chicken fajita that was kind of like not to my liking and they replaced it quick no questions asked but they always have huge servings and it's always really good the most thing I like about it too is they have a fresh salsa bar and it is Lush like it has fresh pico de gallo which is one of my favorites fresh onions they haven't been sitting out for a while like you see at Taco Cabana or doesn't have Bland tasting like there but their salsa bar is amazing. Definitely five stars and not over exaggerating I wouldn't write a giant book if I didn't mean to explain why those five stars are crucial. And it's funny how Google is asking for a pic and I have one because I was texting my girlfriend who was at home at the time how much I like their salsa bar and took a pic to send to her when I was there recently but you can see how fresh it looks and how clean the table is. Anyway five stars. I selected somewhat plenty of parking but the only reason why is because so many people will go there all day it's so good that you can't find parking sometimes. Which is a good thing for any business cuz people don't understand why it's got plenty of parking but it's filled up all the time just like Chester's across the street plenty of parking but filled up.
I had no idea how yummy their fajitas would be!!! It was late, and we were snacky. The chips were warm and so good. The horchata was delicious 😋. Our new go-to for a quick Mexican meal!
Food is always excellent. Went through drive-thru. Order was rung-up correctly However, food placed in bag was not correct. I called back and spoke with Manager. An adjustment to my credit card was supposed to be made, it never showed up on card statement.
Good food and good michelada. Didn't get to try as much food but my quesadilla was delicious. Everyone I was with liked their food. Plenty of parking and seating available
Omg finally cook that knows how to make the crispy tacos. Parkdale your cooks suck! Smh. I will be going to this location from now on. 💛 Ummm I was not disappointed with this meal duh. Smh
I ordered two Carne guisada tacos to go at the drive thru and paid $12 for the order. They were good but definitely not worth what I paid. Other restaurants charge one to two dollars less and are just as good or better. In my opinion, they are overpriced for what you get.
Their nachos are so delicious, baby fajita tacos were good ..all go back for the nachos... My only complaint was that drinks were like $7.30 for two Coca-Cola's. That's outrageously overpriced for a regular Coca-Cola large size..
Coming to St Antonio to pick up my other son, we stop for a quick bite and went to this location. Was my first time to me, electronically you order then you get your food ar your table , has salad bar for chips, salsa, guacamole, etc. It was a good experience but what I enjoyed the most was the service. This older Hispanic lady was cleaning and serving with a smile and very polite. She is a example to the younger server who are sometimes looking unhappy. The flan was delicious and my enchiladas suizas too, along with the fajita burritos. We were there around 11:00 pm yesterday. 08/11/23. We will be back.
Great place to go while visiting San Antonio!
This is authentic Mexican food
Awesome barbacoa, fresh cilantro, coleslaw stuff, red pickled onions, etc.
Only thing I would suggest is for them to make their Horchata a bit less sweet. It is waaayyy too sweet! Good flavor though just clearly not homemade like at a food truck.
Barbacoa was freakin awesome though, and for an Scotch-Irish white girl from up north, I am Very picky about my barbacoa!
