I thought the food was good, but as someone who is Greek and cooks lots of Greek food, I couldn't give it 5 stars. I got the chicken pita gyro lunch special. To me, the chicken wasn't very flavorful. They douse it with tzatziki, which was good. It came with a salad, which I thought was very good. All the vegetables were fresh and the dressing was very tasty. I got 2 soups to go, the avgolemono and the lentil. They both tasted like they were from a can. I'm not sure. Summer is not the time for soup, but I wanted to try it anyway. I live in an area in Texas where there is not a Greek restaurant to be found unless you travel 3 hours away. So naturally, I had to stop in when passing through. I'm glad I did. I loved the ambiance. The service was great and the food was good overall.
It's a really cheap place to have Greek food. Meal is quite good for such price. But the inside of course is not nice. Not very clean, looks very cheap. I don't very like that style of ordering and serving when you order at cashier's, they cook it and then you get by yourself your trays with food. But I should tell that their feta fries are excellent. Olives too. All the other I've tried is very average.
The Gyros are huge so I get the mini one. Gyro is delicious!! Some of the best fries in SA!! Get a piece of Baklava for dessert!!
I go here when in the mood for Greek food. Often I get the Dieters Plate which is very healthy with chicken, fresh vegetables, and salad. Every time I visit it seems like the restaurant does a lot of take out as well. I like how the place is decorated with scenes from Greece. I’ve been to Santorini and it makes me want to go back! Until then, I can visit Demo’s for Greek food :)
Ate here for the first time 10 months ago and had a very good first experience. Ate here again a couple of weekends ago. Food was even better this time. We also tried the feta fries for the first time on the side. They were excellent! Definitely do not need more than one order of those for two people, as it's a lot. Great experience!
I started eating Demos when I was stationed here in 2007-2010. It became my go-to for comfort food, and ultimately my standard for Greek food. It’s still just as good. I am back in San Antonio and eat here on a regular basis again. It’s still the same.
After a good workout, I love to eat the Dieters Plate…the chicken is cooked perfectly, and the salad is unbeatable. And you cannot go wrong with the Gyro. And bring your appetite, the Gyro comes in 4 sizes (the biggest is called the triple, never had that though). I tried the baklava last month…now I get it every time. Eat Here!
Food is consistently good. Wish when you removed items they would not not charge you extra if you add something. Daughter is allergic to tomatoes and onions so she had them removed from the gyro but wanted lettuce instead.
Great, delicious food and very good service. The chicken dieter’s plate is excellent and a great alternative if you’re watching your calories.
We had this delivered through Uber and the food was excellent! We had the gyros with fries. The gyros were tasty with plenty of meat. Only complaint was the fries... Honestly, they were terrible. Thick cut, soft, floppy and unsalted. We also got the dolmas, which were good, and the spanikopita for dessert, delicious!
I called in with a question and the gentleman I spoke to was very friendly and helpful and provided excellent customer service. Everything was quick and arrived perfectly. Would definitely order from them again!
Food is great, employees are wonderful, and the establishment is extremely clean. However, the noise level is unbelievably loud. Sitting close to the register and we couldn't hear who was being called. I noticed it wasn't only my family. I honestly had a headache after waiting for our food. Fortunately, we did order it to go.
Very solid choice for lunch or dinner. Their food is always fresh and tasty. We go here very frequently. I can confidently say I've eaten here 30 times+ over the past 5 years and it's been solid every time.
This is a great place for Greek food. Its more of a fast food joint with much more flare. Food was excellent and I will most definitely be back.
Try them out, I can't see you not being happy.

Nice selection of mostly healthy foods. A busy lunch spot. Stopped in again yesterday. This place is becoming a delightful habit.
Demo's Greek food was definitely a new dining experience for me! I have never had a taste of Greek before, so I was excited to see what this place had to offer. Needless to say, it was a fabulous dining experience! Wouldn't mind visiting again!
