Uni'ko offers a truly unique experience. From the decor to the food, this definitely made for a memorable lunch.
As a party of 2, we were seated quickly which was a pleasant surprise for a Saturday.
As a starter, we ordered the beef sashimi. The dish included several strips of raw meat on a plate and a separate hot stone to cook the meat. The meat was so tender and very tasty. This appetizer is not to be missed, but be sure to place all the meat on the stone as soon as possible to ensure the beef cooks before the stone cools too much.
We also ordered two sushi rolls which took quite a while to come out, but we're worth the wait.
The Romeo and Juliette roll was served on a long plate with fire (and possibly sugar) along side it. This made for a somewhat room temperature roll but was still very delicious. It included salmon and was topped with spicy tuna. The salmon was partially cooked from the heat of the fire, which added to the flavor. The roll was delicious but also very spicy.
The other roll we ordered was the Kani which was a little more basic but also very good. The shrimp was very small, even for shrimp, but overall was fine.
The seaweed salad was pretty good too. It was a little spicy but also very tasty.
We were wanting to celebrate for my brothers birthday while we were in town and I did a lot of research before choosing this place.
Let me just say, we were BLOWN AWAY!
1. Stellar service, our server Rebekah was so attentive and made us feel super comfortable and gave our experience that extra wow factor.
2. The sushi- omg amazing! The tastes and different flavor profiles from the different rolls we got were just such a treat. I was so happy that we loved each roll that we ordered. So fresh and delicious!
3. The location. I did not expect this beautiful apartment complex that reminds me of a resort almost like Atlantis in the Bahamas. You can take a stroll beforehand and take pictures and then after dinner walk around too.
The only thing is that the restaurant is a bit small so not that much space and it was kind of hot inside. But honestly that didn’t take away from our amazing experience.
I will not stop raving about this place and would recommend to anybody looking for a special place to have high quality sushi!
Great taste!! The menu has a lot of great options. A little pricy but the quality and taste is outstanding! Our waitress Madison was great and very nice!!
One of the best miso soup I’ve eaten. Delicious food and great service.
I brought my girlfriend here to celebrate her birthday since she loves sushi. I also heard this place was good from friends and thought that I needed to try this place. The must to start off with is the Ahi Tuna Tower!!! The presentation of it looks so nice that you don't want to eat it but mixing it all together was fantastic. The Two Kings roll is a must to order!!! It was probably one of the best rolls that we ordered if not the best. The other rolls that we ordered were fantastic as well. It is a little pricy but that is based on the area as well. But the sushi and the food was really good and would recommend this place
Must try this place if you are staying in the area! Make sure you make reservations because it isn't a very big restaurant.

After spending a good while at Andretti's arcade by Top Golf at 1604 and I10, I'd been wanting sushi since Sushi Neko (Las Vegas). I'd been craving sushi and Google Mepped closest sushi place. Uni'Ko popped up. We had a great experience at Sushi Neko that seeing the overall 4.3 star score gave me doubts but I said, what the heck let's try it. It's in the eilan area and we parked across from the restaurant in the business looking parking lot. We asked a valet driver if it was ok and they confirmed we would be fine. We were casually dressed and it already looked pretty upscale for our outfits. Upon entering they asked if we had a reservation. "Do we need one", I replied. I figured we'd be turned away or there would be a long wait but they said if we wanted to sit at the sushi bar we could order and eat. Of course we did but I'd like to call out there is only 3 seats at the bar. We were in luck as no one was at the bar! We ordered the large Chirashi, La Cantera roll, Romeo and Juliet roll and Lobster roll with an apple sake and a peach sake. Everything was delicious. The quickness that we were served was impressive. The presentation was great! The staff was friendly and had us laughing.
The large Chirashi had a good amount of delicious fresh fish with a hefty amount of rice.
La Cantera roll is a bit on the spicy side with tuna on top. ( one of my husband's favorite )
Romeo and Juliet roll is a riceless roll with a but of citrus and lots of fresh tuna and salmon (my favorite)
Lobster roll is a fried roll and not spicy. ( husband's 2nd fave )
The atmosphere was very casual. The price range is medium to high. They brought the check in a tiny treasure chest. Totally worth the price tag, definitely will be going back! I will look into a reservation to be on the safe side.
Sushi Neko and Andretti's review in their respective Google Maps sections. 😀
Pleasant spot. Service was a bit slow, but the ceviche made up for it. The dishes were presented very well.
The place is quite small, so make a reservation.
Over all, the experience was wonderful and the food was delicious.
Everything was delicious! We went for a date night and this was a wonderful surprise for us both! The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was friendly, but the food stole the show. Presentation and flavor were 10/10. I wish I remembered what all we got, but I only remember the tuna tower and it was perfect. This will be our new spot for future dates and we can't wait!
Absolutely phenomenally delicious. Amongst THE BEST food AND service I have ever experienced (I'm 66). BECCA "gets it." Friendly, knowledgeable and the young woman can upsell!! Chef Pablo is a true Sushi talent. It's so good, I ate there two days in a row with different sets of friends--they loved it too! Arigato.
This place was good but not phenomenal. You're paying more than the average sushi restaurant for the location. I recommend the sashimi with yellow tail and Serrano peppers, Romeo and Juliet roll. The miso was excellent and the tuna tostada was ok.
Love this place! Best Sushi and Japanese restaurant in San Antonio! 🍱 🤩 The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is super yummy and nicely presented 🙌 they have a nice outdoor patio too
Food is amazing however, they charge $3 to $5 dollars more on some items than listed on the menu. They also charge you a 3% surcharge on top of the total bill for credit cards.
The service here was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was good as well. I recommend the Ahi Tuna Tower listed in the pictures and the Dragon Rosso Roll which are both melt in your mouth amazing. Definitely date worthy.
My all-time favorite sushi place! I’ve eaten at Nobu, and excellent sushi in NYC and Seattle. My favorites include the Two Kings roll (King Salmon and King crab), the Tuki roll and their fatty tuna. Well worth the price!!
The food was amazing. Unfortunately, no uni. The presentation of food is beautiful. The space is small, but they have some semi private areas as well. We did not have a reservation but they still seated us. I was unaware we would need a reservation.
