Hopefully, you're lucky enough to get Brigette as your waitress. She said she makes the best shakes in town, and she did not disappoint us. But we came in for a basket of onion rings, then we ordered onion rings with a side of Bacon Cheese Burger. This is our favorite treat at Jim's when we are looking for something quick and good. This Jim's is very clean and well kept up. There were lots of tables and it did not feel crowded even though there were a lot of people dinning. Great experience!!

I like Jim’s because the food is consistent and tasty. We had our first cool day so I decided on a cup of tortilla soup, half a chicken salad sandwich and fries. It really was good and I’m glad I didn’t have the salad plate although I really like it. The staff were friendly and accommodating which made it a nice dining experience.

Fantastic for ordering pies to take home! A fine place to eat. Old fashion service and cooking. Building likely 40 years old but service and food still great. Like anywhere, Sometimes understaffed, some waitress/waiters just ok but the vast majority of time this place rocks! NOBODY beats these pies for holidays! Sold way too cheap also! I got pecan, chocolate cream, and lemon meringue for $35, tax and all! What some places charge for one! Makes no sense but I’ll take it!

Sat at the Bar nearest food service window. Lynn & her crew were absolutely fantastic, friendly, happy & spunky - like family, it must be a fun place to work. Food was spot on, hot, fresh & tasty. No false advertising here. Even the Managers were interacting w/ staff in a polite, friendly manner which grandma use to say “Treat others as you’d want to be treated, Amen”…. AZMac

Our waitress Rita was Amazing! She was super sweet, attentive, and offered awesome service. My family loves going to Jim's because there's something to eat for everyone. Some of us like breakfast all day, while others prefer the lunch or dinner items. I especially love their French Toast, eggs, crispy bacon, and hash browns with cream gravy. My elderly parents love the tortilla soap.

Hadn't been there in years, but we decided to go in for a late breakfast. The omelet and hash browns were perfect. The coffee was fresh. The service was slow at first bc there was only one waitress working. But then a second waitress arrived, and things picked up. Overall, it was very enjoyable experience and reasonable prices.

I was looking for pie for Pi Day and thought to call Jim's if they had homemade pies. Lynn answered the phone and I originally asked her to set a chocolate cream pie for me. When I got to the restaurant, I saw they had strawberry pies and thought my Dad would enjoy that more. Paul, the manager, gladly gave me the strawberry pie and asked if I wanted to top it off with whipped cream. Glad I did because the pie looked beautifully done. I shared half of the pie with neighbors and had plenty for my Dad, hubby and myself. The strawberries were ginormous! Such sweet success!

Our waitress, Johara, was so pleasant, efficient, and professional. After our 5k Thanksgiving walk, the hot, delicious breakfast helped replenish our energy. She had our breakfast and drinks out so quickly that my husband and I were surprised.

UPDATE 8/23: you know it's a popular restaurant when the AC isn't working but the line is still out the door! The staff were all incredible troopers today, especially Rita (such a sweetheart)! Short wait, but the food is worth it! PREV: Awesome location for diner food. Service was spot on (shout out to Rita, who totally rocks). Clean and well-maintained. Ample parking, tons of handicapped spots up front. I've never had a bad meal at the this location -- and the GRITS R DA BOMB!

Excellent service and delicious food. Old time, home-style diner food. Staff are friendly and try their best to accommodate guests as soon as they can as seating may be limited during busy hours. We always make a stop at this particular Jim's whenever we visit San Antonio. This is by far our favorite Jim's. Their homemade pies are amazing 😋😋

Never disappoints. One of the few places I can count in to know the difference between eggs over medium and eggs over easy. The biscuits are great, ask them to split them open and toast both sides. There was an original Jims on the triangle where Bandera and Culebra split. This was my first Frontier burger. Followed by years of patty melts, pies, fries, chili and more. And like I said before never disappointed. Thanks Jims for all the years. Please be patient with ALL restaurants. They are trying to be patient with us 😊

I love this Jim's, such a great atmosphere and the staff are lovely. I always enjoy my stay when we come to eat. Their omlettes are delicious, fresh ingredients make so much of a difference, I get one every time because they're just too good! The restaurant is always really tidy, even if a table made a mess they clean it quickly, the staff do a great job.

This is a good place to dine in. A little old school and a great place you can take your young kids, middle aged parents and grandparents for a nice sit down meal. Reasonably priced with daily specials. So if you have time, and you want to enjoy a meal with family and friends, I highly recommend this location. Available parking and take out also.
