The Habaneros off Nac and Thousand Oaks is the best. That shredded chicken is the absolute bomb. They have the best staff and their margaritas are top notch. 10/10 would recommend. Open a location closer to UTSA

Both locations I have been to have awesome food, friendly staff and friendly customers. I will say I must try something other than the "spinach mushroom chicken burrito" Thanks to the one who offered the drink for me to finish. If I had a DD I would've helped you out on that. Maybe next time. ;)

I've been coming here for about 15 years. They were my favorite when I wasn't gluten-free and now that I am I can still eat there. They will Change their gloves when you tell them. I love the cilantro rice on my nachos. Just one order is enough for two people. They recently added a bar and a smoker so you can get brisket.

I think this place has the best burritos in town. There ingredients are excellent and the steak fajitas are very tasty. The service is great too.

I would have given this place five stars. I give the food five stars. Excellent chicken/beef fajita salads and sauces. However, the pop/rap music ruins the ambience and atmosphere of the restaurant. They also played country music. This is not what I'd expect from a Mexican Grill restaurant. I still come back to eat their fajitas and salad again. Hopefully the music will be different.

The food is really good and fresh. It's evolved into more than just a burrito place.

Best Nachos in SA. Cheap and quick and damn good food. They always change their gloves because I'm gluten-free and I've never gotten sick in all the years I've come here. Their burritos are huge and I bring my gluten eating friend here to try them.

The experience here is always good. I have been getting overcharged on my tips this past couple of months, so I finally brought it to the managers attention after the 4th time. I was just wanting my $5 back, but Luth went above and beyond and more than compensated me for my money and hassle. Thank you Luth. This place has always been better than the "other" burrito places. Their customer service has gone above and beyond this time and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a good burrito with a friendly smile. Thank you guys!!

Good flavors. Plus nice smoky aroma in the air outside makes it a nice experience. Nice to eat outside. Inside is very colorful and decorated in a fun way. I added a star. Date today is 2017.07.23 Comparable to freebirds burrito, but much tastier and we always leave satisfied. I feel you'll get your money's worth then freebirds. This is a family favorite of ours. Also the staff was very nice to us. I forot his name but the older Hispanic man is very kind and friendly.

Fresh, made-to-order burritos, bowls, and more. They smoke their own brisket meat on the patio and slow-cook their vegetables to perfection. Excellent amount of food for the price. Habanero's has been in business for many years and it's easy to taste why!

Love this place. Love it. Great food and atmosphere. You can make a burrito the way you like it. Love the sweet pork and spicy meat. Nachos are even better with the added touch queso. Margaritas are awesome.

My boyfriend loves this place! I think of it sort of like a local Freebirds. They have big burritos which you can fill with several types of meat including chicken, steak, and pork. They have different tortillas to choose from. They also serve nachos, quesadillas, etc. They have bottled sodas or fountain drinks. They also have alcohol and serve a gigantic looking margarita thing. It looks huge! They have some beers to choose from as well. The service was good. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Will definitely be back!

I recently moved to SA from Utah, where fast-casual fresh-mex restaurants are abundant. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find INauthentic Mexican food before I got here. In particular, I searched for months in vain to find a good cilantro lime ranch dressing and good sweet pork the way they all do it in Utah. Fortunately, Habanero's does an adequate job of replicating these and saves me hours of making it at home. The downsides are that it still isn't quite the same, especially the sweet pork, and the quality is inconsistent. Some days it is amazing, others not so much. Either way, I'm glad it is there. My search for great restaurants of a similar vein (Chipotle is woefully inadequate) continues, but I'll definitely continue eating here.

I have been going here for over 10 years and have NEVER had a bad experience. The food is consistently good and 10 folds better quality than the McDonald's owned Chipotle Grill. Habaneros can't be beat. The cheezy beef rito is my all time fav. If you're thinking about going to Chipotle...... Don't! Go to Habaneros instead and get the better ingredients, better tasting food.

This place is awesome! Fresh hand made tortillas, the Sweet pork is a good choice. This is what chipotle would be if it was made with love. I think they have a free queso deal if you check in on Facebook!

The burritos are huge and very tasty as well as the quesadillas. Prices are a little high but you will forget the price when you take a nice bite into your food.

So, several years ago, a roommate of mine at the time told me about this burrito place called Habaneros. At the time, I was a Chipotle fan, and I was like "why go out of the way? Chipotle's right here."He forced us to travel further anyhow. Fast forward a couple years, and I'm dating a woman who's a Chipotle fan, trying to tell her about this burrito place called Habaneros. She's like "why go out of the way? Chipotle's right here." I made her travel further anyhow. Today, when I tell people about the place, I describe it as follows: "it's like Chipotle, but good. Yes, I know you think Chipotle's good. I used to at one point as well, then I had Habaneros. Trust me." Also, get the queso on your burrito.
