We are so glad we found this little gem 💎!! Hands down to the cooks. We had a great experience, and Carolina our waitress made the service 1000x better with her attentiveness. Definitely coming back, this will forever be one of our stops while in the San Antonio area 😊🙌

Eddie’s was great as always. The food was fresh and tasted the best! You can’t beat the daily specials.

Recently visited Eddie’s Taco House at 402 W Cevallos. Wife had the huevos rancheros early bird special w/ pork chop. I had the chilaqules plate w/ pork chop early bird special. Both plates were served hot and came out in no time. The pork chops were thin but well cooked. The beans were refried. Both plates were delicious. The tortillas were fresh, puffy and homemade. Great food and great early bird specials.

My father used to bring me here many years ago before he passed away. He was a regular customer here. I forgot how good this place was. As soon as you walked in the door, it felt welcoming. It's a family atmosphere and probably the best customer service I have ever gotten. The food was so good. 3.99 for a Huevos Rancheros plate and a good-sized plate at that! I loved their tortillas so big and fluffy. My son had an enchilada plate with guisada, and the Carne guisada was so tender that it just melted in your mouth. Everything about this place was great!

The best Mexican food IMO. They use American cheese in the enchiladas so they stay melted and don't turn on to a block of cheese. So far I'm impressed with all the food.I have been going since I was a kid.

This place has always been the favorite spot to go to for the enchiladas. My mother-in-law and I we very pleased with the food and the friendliness of the staff. The only critique I have is that it took almost 30 minutes for us to receive our food. It was busy, but 3 tables seated after us with 2 or more people served before us, and they. But at least when it did come, it was hot and delicious.

Who is Eddie exactly? I will lose it if this Taco house moves. I love, love, love this restaurant, just like I love the tacos. The tortilla they make is heaven sent. You know why Eddie’s Taco the best, because they make all the food from scratch themselves. If you are anything like I am, then you understand how awesome homemade foods are rather than pre-packaged processed foods. Hands Down #1. Big thanks for you guys. Eddie Tacos

As always went yesterday for lunch and the food was perfect, and the staff was very friendly, my brother ordered all the lunch specials, only the flautas were a little burnt, other than that the enchiladas, chalupas, and Gorditas were perfect, also the brisket comes shredded not sliced. And the prices still beat other places, especially if you decide to go before 10:30 AM

Food and prices are great. 10 breakfast tacos for 13 bucks. Can't beat that.

This has become our new favorite breakfast spot. The food is so good and the sweet tea hits the spot.

Yummy homemade tortillas, enchilada sauce-my hubby. And he loved the tamales smothered in enchilada sauce. I loved the Chalupas Compuestas! It was really popular & we had to wait 30 minutes, but so worth the wait! We will go back! Just maybe not at 12:00!

I didn't even bother going through the front door. Written in black magic marker on a neon green piece of cardboard taped to the front door (very classy first impression mind you) it says "cash only." This place likes to screw customers by having an ATM machine inside the restaurant to make you pay a fee to eat here. Nice way to cheat on your taxes too. Cash only? It's 2016. I was immediately offended and will not go back. Why don't you make money the old-fashioned way. Serve a quality product with quality service in a clean restaurant and I will gladly pay more.. When you start setting the rules on how I'm going to pay for your product, you lose not only a sale, you lose a customer for life and I'll be happy to spread the word. Statistics show a customer who has had a bad dining experience will tell an average of 16 people about their experience. That makes 17 people who will never visit your restaurant. To put that into perspective, imagine the customer you lost was worth $1,000 in annual revenue. Multiply that by 17 for a total of $17,000.. How's that ATM working for you now?

Good food but.... The food is very good, no doubt. The only thing, why cash only? When the other location accepts credit cards. Also, if you're only accepting cash wouldn't the price be a bit cheaper than others? I paid $1.95 for a breakfast taco. Provided the taco was great, but I can get the same quality of taco and green hot sauce (because I love green hot sauce) at another location for $.083 (3 tacos for $2.49).

Nasty please!! The plates are nasty the service is bad, the drive true takes forever.. Not a good place to enjoy. I say spend your money in a better place, you work hard for you money and no one deserve a nasty place with a 0% very poor customer service

Great Place. Went today with some coworkers, place was busy and I know why. The food was great and the prices were crazy cheap. I got the enchilada verde de pollo lunch special comes with tea total bill was $5.17 ! The enchilada were delicious and even came with a little salad and sour cream as well as beans and rice which were good. Tortillas were awesome fresh homeade. Service was very good. The green salsa is good and hot! We will be going back for sure! Tried the Chili Colorado de puerco last week was the best I've had!

Great Lunch Specials. Work is nearby so lunch to go is always an option at this place. I've tried the asada tacos with guacamole and the chile relleno lunch special. It is awesome. Not like Mom's back home but a suitable replacement. Look forward to being a regular.

This place is wonderful. Great food at good prices. Wait staff is excellent. Do you think they could translate this to thousand oaks location?

What a disappointment. We have given Eddies Taco house 3 chances since they opened their new restaurant. Only to be disappointed every time. We were so looking forward to having good mexican food in our neighborhood but it looks like will have to keep waiting. The service is slow friendly but slow and they seem uneducated about the menu items as well as a slight language barrier. The food is like a glorified Taco Cabana the beans I think are canned or freeze dried the rice has no flavor and was very bity not sure if it was over or under cooked. Food took 45 minutes to come out. The cheese tastes like velveeta - not what real mexican food restaurant would use. Margarita tasted good but was very week. The sausage and egg taco was very bad the sausage tastes like oscar meyer weeenie not real sausage overall bad

Eddie's Taco House Thousand Oaks. I am writing this about the new location on Thousand Oaks, I haven't been to the other location. I went with my family a few days ago for dinner. We have seen the construction of this place for a while & we were excited to try it out. We were sitting for quite a while before anyone approached our table and asked us what we wanted to drink. Our server was a pretty nice guy but he did seem a little stressed out which is understandable because it was pretty busy. We also waited for a long time before they finally brought us chips and salsa. Then we had to request silverware. My kids both ordered the picadillo child's plates. The server said that it was going to be kind of spicy and my kids said they didn't mind. When they got their meals, they said it was not spicy at all and kind of bland. My boyfriend ordered the chicken enchiladas and the shredded chicken seemed like it was mostly brown meat not white meat and there was a big chunk of fat in it. His enchiladas were also very bland. I ordered the chicken fajitas. I asked if they would be similar to the ones in other restaurants where they are sizzling on the plate, the server said no they won't be sizzling but they are really good. My chicken had barely any spice to it at all, there were also chunks of fat on a couple of pieces and it was cold. If anything it was very salty. The rice and beans were also pretty bland and barely warm. I'm a graphic designer and I also couldn't help but notice the menu is designed pretty badly, the menu items are not organized very well and there are some noticeable misspellings. The best part of the meal would probably be the tortillas and also my Mexican Coke. The tortillas were very warm and fresh. The other good thing is the prices were pretty decent. This location is new, so maybe things just need to be worked out over time and hopefully it will improve. I probably won't be going again any time soon.

Eddies Taco House Thousand Oaks. My family went today for lunch at the new location on thousand oaks. The server was great and very sweet considering...we ordered the grilled cheese kids plate, chicken strips kids plate, chilaquiles plate and the beef fajitas. My 9 yrd old son found a chunk of plastic in his sandwich, the chicken stips were so overcooked I couldnt cut them with a knife, the chip strips in the chilaquiles were so hard I had to pick them out and the beef fajitas were dried up. We sat at 11:20 and got our food at almost 12:00 after the waitress told us 3 seperate times our food was coming out. Then were told that the tortillas werent ready yet. My husband has been the GM of a local restaurant for 30 years and we know all the little things that can delay food, & mess up orders so we are usually more than a little understanding. We have also opened 2 restraunts in town for my husbands company and know how hard it is to get everything going smoothly. When we left the manager was supposed to come talk to us and never showed up. So, now we know that we will stick to the restraunts we usually frequent and probably wont be back. You should really take time to talk to customers...you can have a bad experiance and a good manager or GM can smooth things over.

Taco Heaven. Eddie's is a wonderful place to eat breakfast.

The tacos are delicious and taste like they have an army of abuelas in the kitchen, pumping out these tasty treats.

The waitstaff is very efficient and friendly. Great service.

Fast and Dependable. Eddie's is only open for breakfast and lunch, Mondays through Saturdays. Mainly I opt for the drive-thru during the lunch hour. They always seem bustling, but are quick and courteous with their service. The combo plates come with rice, beans, two handmade flour tortillas, and iced tea (sweet, unless you specify otherwise). I am a particular fan of the carne asada plate. The lunch plates with tea are mostly under five dollars. The drive-thru closes at two p.m.
