The chicken flautas were well-seasoned. The blackened Mahi Mahi tacos were grilled great and tasted terrific.  There was a sauce that kicked up the flavor. Both dishes had corn tortillas instead of flour.  We really liked that. Our server was polite and didn't bother us during the meal.  However, she was available when needed. We sat by the river and watched ducks and type boats.  It was an enjoyable meal and break from the day.

Whenever I am in a new location, I ask the cashiers and locals I meet on the names of their favorite food spots. This is one that came up. It's interesting that most of the Mexican or Tex Mex are all locationed near each other in downtown San Antonio... It is also interesting that chips and salsa do not come with your meal, they are an extra fee. We had the prickly pear, fajitas, churros, street tacos, and elote.

Right on riverwalk for easy food 🙂. The food was pretty good, not the best I've ever had but, definitely no complaints. We had a pretty large party and they were easily able to accommodate as there is lots of seating. Friendly staff and service!

Our De La Quesadilla was great and the Guacamole was good too. Our waiter was great although he was very busy with only one other Waiter. Ask for Chris John or Chris J. He will treat you right.

Great service, love the atmosphere of the Riverwalk, and the chicken fajita was amazing…best I’ve ever had! Highly recommended for munch or dinner, and the next time I’m in San Antonio definitely going again!

The in-house band performs songs for each table on request. Great food and cocktails. Quick service. Variety of dishes for veg and non-veg. Only thing is I did not like black beans in mashed form. And the portion size was a bit on the heavy side. Suggested you go really hungry to finish the plate. Pet friendly place. The servers were amazing.

Great place!!! Reserved a table for the Day of the Dead Celebration. Great place and buffet for the event. Food was fabulous and plenty of it. River float parade was disappointing. Not the restaurants fault. But they gave us a gift card to make up for the parade. Best management I have been around. Go see them the food and staff are worth a visit. We will see them again.

The service was great! One of the best margaritas I’ve had! I would highly recommend the jalapeño margarita. We just had drinks! Our server was amazing!

I recently visited Rio Rio Cantina with my friend and her family, and we all had a great time. The restaurant is located directly on the Riverwalk, so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the views while we ate. The service was excellent, and our food was delicious. I had the Barbacoa tacos, and they were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The Prickly Pear margarita was also amazing, and it was the perfect way to cool off on a hot day. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Rio Rio Cantina. The food, service, and location were all top-notch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting San Antonio. Here are some additional details about my experience: The Barbacoa tacos were made with tender, shredded beef that was cooked in a flavorful sauce. The tacos were served on corn tortillas and topped with cilantro, onions, and a squeeze of lime. The Prickly Pear margarita was made with fresh prickly pear juice, tequila, and lime. It was sweet and tart, and it had a refreshing cactus flavor. The restaurant is decorated in a festive Mexican style. There are colorful murals on the walls, and the tables are covered with brightly colored tablecloths. The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, and he made sure that we had everything we needed. The location is perfect. Rio Rio Cantina is located right on the Riverwalk, so you can enjoy the views of the river while you eat. Overall, I highly recommend Rio Rio Cantina. It is a great place to go for delicious Mexican food, drinks, and a fun atmosphere.

My family wanted Mexican and Ria Ria did not disappoint. We were a group of 10 adults and 2 children. The staff was very gracious and accommodating and were able to seat us with a minimal wait time. I ordered Especiale Santillo . It consisted of 1 beef enchilada, 1 cheese enchilada, a beef taco, rice and refried beans. My only complaint was that the food wasn’t as hot as I would’ve liked and the margarita was a little weak. That mattered not as I was really really hungry. The food was delicious and everyone was satisfied. I’d definitely come here again.
