Authentic Mexican Seafood. If you like Mexican seafood or wanting to try it, this is a great place to start... The whole fried Tilapia fish was amazing and served with favorable rice and beans. Their seafood paella is awesome and a must for anyone who like spicy rice and seafood! Can't wait to go back!
Baja Style Shrimp Hamburgesa & Fish Tacos. SO glad we tried Las Islas Mariscos - fast and friendly service. I've now had my first Shrimp Burger, won't be my last - super tasty and includes a plate full of piping hot french fries. Fish tacos almost too full of fish, cabbage, & avocado!
Bye bye Bucanero, hello Islas Marias!!! We had eaten at the Fontana CA location before and weren't sure if it was the same, sure thing it is. Great Ceviche and tostadas. Very clean and great service.

Amazing Seafood From West Coast of Mexico. Well lit, clean, place on busy SW Military Dr. used to be a chicken place and is now a place that easily replaces another Mexican West Coast restaurant El Bucanero restaurant that left the Southside for other pastures in the North end of the city. Since it arrived to the North the quality, according to the reviewers on Urbanspoon, has decreased. To bad but there is another restaurant not too far off of IH35 and well worth the drive, Las Islas Marias.
The cuisine is from the Mexican state of Nayarit. It is very fresh and loaded with flavor.
Different people in my party had different dishes and they were nice enough to allow me a taste of several things. Here we go.
Mendigo-This was a seafood cocktail served in large goblet. It consisted on succulent shrimp and tender large pieces of octopus in a liquid with flavors of lime juice, Valentin hot pepper sauce and leaves of cilantro. Very fresh and tasty.
Pina Rellena-This was something I had never encountered. It was a halved pineapple filled with bits of shrimp, crab, firm fish, and pineapple with Mexican mozzarella style cheese. It is that oven cooked to perfection.
Caldo 7 Mares-This is a soup consisting of shrimp, octopus, oysters, mussels, fish and crab legs in a tasty seafood broth. This bowl is huge and full of seafood.
Paella del Mar-This is a traditional seafood rice dish with shrimp, octopus, crab legs, mussels and abalone. A large plate filled to a brim.
It was nice to also have adult beverages as they served up beer, margaritas as well as fruit juice based drinks with tequila (with or without chili sprinkled on top).
This was a wonderful experience. Great food, great wait service and very tasty food at a price point that is downright cheap in comparison to any seafood restaurant not frying everything in sight.
Food was great...would have given it 5 stars expect the took long to take our order. We were literally about to get up and leave when they came to wait on us. Surprisingly the food came out very quickly and we were glad we waited because every was delicious. Also it is a very small place and the parking is limited in the front.
Great food great music, and the ceviches were Fabolous. We had a great time, service was excellent.
I ordered the fried tilapia & that fish was huge!! Cooked just right served with veg & fries. Complementary chips + ceviche is always good. Generous portions of ceviche plates and off the menu fish tacos can be ordered too. Highly recommend 👍🏼👍🏼
Took my husband for date night to Las Islas Maria's...the food was AMAZING! It was busy for Saturday night@ 6p.m. our wait time was less than 10minutes. The prices are a little bit more but it is so much worth it. The food is exceptional and our waitress was very nice. We will definitely go again to try their other dishes on the menu. We saw that you can order it to go ... One of our new FAVORITE places!
Delicious food and quick, attentive service
The food here is the best, the mojarra perfection!!! Caldo so Delisous!! Camarones a la diabla were so good and the shrimp cocktail just wow!! This place is small but cozy restrooms nice and clean. Great price I do recommend this place to anyone in San Antonio. The service was alright but it's only because it's busy I assume why they slack some customer service but I have to give it a 5 star just because the food was on point
Food is delicious and portions are big. Cant wait to go back even though it gets pricey quick. Its ok as long as the food is great and good sized portions.

I like this location better than the other. Pros-The food was great. Quantity was as a good size. The sauce they give for the calamari appetizer was amazing! Service was fast too. Cons- pretty pricy I was not expecting to get a bill of $80 plus tip with a family of 4 (2 adults n 2 small children) and the space is pretty small. If you don’t speak Spanish it may be hard to communicate with the workers because they speak Spanish. Luckily I’m bilingual so that wasn’t an issue but those who don’t speak it could run into this problem.
The three dishes we ordered are all great and the price is unbeatable! We ordered lobster, a grilled seafood in pineapple and baby octopus.
Food was amazing! Service was phenomenal! This business is a well oiled machine! If you have a sensitive palate, this may be too spicy for you. I absolutely loved it!
If you like seafood pasta you have to try!!The pasta marinera is the BEST I've ever had at any restaurant. Food is well prepared and tastes delicious 😋 Drinks are also good!! Worth trying!!!
The food here is amazing! Large portions. Try the molcajete its delicious! The drink is called cantarito super good and filled with tequila. I recommend for both couples and larger parties

Really good food. Really recommend the seafood empanadas with chipotle sauce! Only thing is, it gets really packed & you’ll sometimes have to wait outside.
Great service, large portions. Nice to get free ceviche when dining in. Ordered the red snapper, came with fries, veggies and rice. The lemonada aqua fresca was great. My friend ordered the fish tacos. We left very full and happy
Everything was delicious I would recommend this to anyone the only problem is the place is small.
