They have the best tasting Formosa Shrimp by far. Their Formosa sauce is so incredibly delicious. Be sure to ask for Laura to serve you. She is one of the best servers there!
Fantastic service and the food was really good. I LOVE the added "glitter " that was placed on our plate of sushi - the glass with lights and radish, and artificial flowers. Nice touch.
Awesome and fast service! Great food! Our 1st time there. Did not disappoint! ❤👍🏼👍🏼😉
I enjoyed my lunch, the food was delicious! The service was great, but the only one thing is that they don't offer a fortune cookie with your meal like all the other Chinese restaurants do!
We went for a company dinner and had the Hibachi Dinner. It was great the cook was funny and the food was great. Really enjoyed the experience.

We had another great dinner. Our waitress was very attentive and ensured we had our glasses filled and our appetizer ( the Pu Pu Platter) was served in a manner where we didn't feel rush before our meal arrived.
This has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in town.
The Wonton soup wasn't salty. The 2 wontons were double stuffed with filling. Portion size was just right.
The Lemon chicken breading is light and sticks to the chicken.
The Lemon sauce isn't too sour and when you add hot oil its a perfect combo for a sweet and spicy kick.
Service has improved drastically in the last few months.
Rayeann was very kind and attentive!
Our food came out quickly and even the sushi was made in a timely manner!
One of our favorite places for Asian cuisine. We’ve enjoyed this establishment for over 15 years. Service is always good and the food has always been top notch. What we really appreciate however, is that they DO NOT use MSG in the cooking. An ingredient that every other Asian cuisine establishment can’t seem to cook without. My wife is extremely allergic to the additive. So it’s wonderful for her to be able to enjoy her favorite cuisine, without the worry of triggering a migraine after.
One of our favorite orders before dinner is the Las Vegas roll. Refreshing with just the right amount of spice.
You can’t go wrong stopping in for lunch, dinner, or enjoying a large get together in their private party room.
It's almost like a hole-in-the wall but once inside you'll be glad you stopped!
The atmosphere is definitely some stereotypical Chinese restaurant atmosphere with a Koi tank, a long sushi/alcohol bar, and decorations. Very clean though, not crowded and comfortable.
We went during the beginning of lunch and were sat promptly. Our server initially only had us, but picked up 2 more tables with no issue. Absolutely excellent service! Very attentive and didn't have to ask him for anything, he was on top of it all! Lunch prices are very fair and you still get a lot of food for the money.
I got the sesame chicken on the lunch menu. Came out very hot (so be careful at first) with just the right amount of rice and an egg roll. We also got the egg drop soup which I'm told was perfect.
Didn't have to wait long on the check, but he did check with us first to make sure we were good to go. Two of us for lunch with the soup and 2 lunches entrees were about $25.
Definitely plan on going again!
Ok, my wife and i were looking for a chinesse food restaurant closer to the airport and decided to give this one a try.
It has a lot of parking, and i guess because of the time it was not that packed, 9pm friday night. As you come in, it looks pretty nice, kind of like a chinesse chilis, a drink bar, a tv with the news, a tv with a footbal game and another with a show, and the tables are well acomodated. It took the waiter a little bit to show up, handed the menus, we told him it was our first time there so he could recommend a plate, nothing, asks for the drinks and after 3 minutes he comes back ready to take the order. I told him to give us a couple of minutes more, as i was undecided on what plate to try. I was going to order a plate but we decided to go with the dinner for two. Waiter comes back, and we ordered the dinner for two, but wanted to make a change on the plates, and the waiter says, No, you can only change one plate !... with an attitude, my wife then says, ok, but here on the menu reads you can pay the difference, and he said no you have to get what says there, showing no empathy. My wife then orders the original plates weve decided and tells him, this is our first time here, at least you could tell us in a different way. After waiting for not too long, he brings the plates, really nice hot food, excellent taste, but when it got cold, taste kind of faded.
Waiter did not showed up at the table after delivering the plates to see if we were doing fine, until i gave a loud sip to my drink so he could hear it to give me a refill, then i asked for the check.
Food was good, service not so good, atmosphere is nice. Price on our plates not too expensive. Not sure if will come back later.
Flew into San Antonio for a business trip.
I was craving some Sushi and Chinese food.
Found this spot on my recommendation list with high rating.
Attentive Service
Clean and well maintained established.
Would recommend.
Traveling by the location, were randomly picked this restaurant for lunch and it was an good experience. We ordered three dishes, and this is my favorite dish: HuNan chicken, which was fresh and spicy. The environment is nice and calm, the staffs are friendly. They also have sushi, but we only order the hot dishes this time. Hopefully could come back next time to try their signature sushi.
The service is great and the food is just as good I would 10/10 recommend if you don’t know where to eat for maybe a family dinner or just a lunch break this is the best spot.
My favorite Chinese restaurant in San Antonio, great atmosphere, great Chinese food, lunch specials as well as early bird dinner specials. Also available for private parties are hibachi stations which I highly recommend for birthdays and other special occasions. The service is always very attentive and prompt. Sushi menu/bar is also available.
We had a fantastic evening at Formosa Garden. The restaurant is very stylishly decorated and has an elegant atmosphere. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. If you’re looking to try something new, this is a great choice.
The quality of food served in a restaurant plays a significant role in ensuring customer
satisfaction and loyalty. Delicious meals keep customers coming back for more while
substandard cuisine can drive customers away from the establishment permanently. Chefs should use fresh ingredients and take care when preparing meals to ensure they meet or exceed customer expectations.
Not only were the servers exceptionally kind but they also provided speedy service
without compromising on quality or taste of food. All orders were prepared fresh upon request and served promptly without making customers wait unnecessarily long periods before receiving their meals; such practices ensure diners leave fully satisfied with both their meals and overall customer experience
I ordered the chow mein thinking I’ll get noodles but it’s beef and Broccoli, they tried to tell me the chips were the chow mein but when do you ever order noodles and not get noodles. If that’s true they need to tell the customer if it’s noodles or not because if not I will order the lo mien, everything is amazing but don’t order chow mein if you want noodles lol
Formosa Garden has a great selection of classic Chinese dishes. My family’s favorite is the sesame chicken. The food is fresh and delicious. Service is generally great, but they do tend to get busy at times - expect delays.
Wonderful Asian restaurant! One of the best in town! The meal was out of this world. This is really yummy!!!
Wonderful Asian restaurant! One of the best in town! If you are into sushi, their Formosa roll is incredible. There were 4 of us in our party last night and service was fantastic. We had Mu Shu Pork, Sichuan Beef, Teriyaki Chicken and Sesame Chicken. Each and every one was absolutely amazing. This place was known for their lunch service, but don't forget dinner...you won't be disappointed!

My friends invited me for some delicious food from the restaurant last week.
The line for pick up is long!!!
This restaurant has been in business for more than 25 years.
The original owner sold their business three years ago. The new owner did a great job keeping the food quality, great and delicious!
I Recommend these dishes: triple delight, BBQ chicken on stick, chicken lettuce wrap, beef and seafood in hot and spicy broth. Pictures of these dishes are showing below.
My first time visiting Formosa Garden and I was very pleased. Their lunch menu includes tea and was available on Saturdays. I would like to try the fried rice during dinner hours instead of the lunch time, perhaps it taste more like traditional fried rice. I did however love my cashew shrimp and the wonton soup.
Had lunch special today. Beef with Garlic sauce. Nice and hot!
