This is Japanese tapas. Go during happy hour to get cheap pricing on many of the dishes. Bring friends to share... Just like Spanish tapas. Tip..try the bone marrow topped with crab... So good for a starter.
I’ve been here twice now and each time was great. I came in with big parties each time and had no problem getting sat. We got to sit at the sunken table right in front of the murals. The food came out in a timely manner and tasted so good!
I came in HUNGRY, so I forgot to snap all of my photos. I recommend the corn fritters and the dry garlic ramen. (Order the ginger beef and mix it in with your dry garlic ramen, trustttt)
My parents really enjoyed the crispy pork ears, it kind of reminded us of Chinese salt n pepper squid. My aunt doesn’t like adventurous stuff like that but we didn’t tell her what it was and she really liked it too lol.
The sushi was good, but my complaint would be that the rice is a little on the mushier side. Also, the menu didn’t list cucumber in the yuzu salad and it came out with cucumbers blech.. I don’t like cucumbers.. I just picked it out but it was a lot of cucumber lol.
My friends all agreed that this location had better vibes and menu options than it’s sister location in Arlington. I’ll def be back and recommend to anyone.
Everything was pretty solid for the most part. Ramen was good, sushi is good, ordered the piranha roll. Place Gives off traditional vibes or a sense of relaxation. They have indoor & outdoor seating, also floor seating.
I have never been disappointed with their food. Always fresh, seasoned and cooked just right. I love their Vietnamese roll which has 3 kinds of fish and rolled In Vietnamese rice paper, it has no rice comparing to regular sashimi, light and tasty, fish tastes better in rice paper! Try it.
The fried Chicken is another must order item! And spicy edamame!
It was my first time here with my girfriend who recommended this restaurant. My only complaint was a long wait time for our food, but everything else was great. The server was attentive and helpful, and the food tasted great. I was impressed with the presentation. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen which had a very deep flavor profile. My gf got the sashimi bento box and although it took a long time to get the order it came out looking good and tasted good too. Finished off with the tempura fried ice cream for desert. I can definitely recommend this place!
Great place to have a date night. My husband and I love their food and service. We have tried several dishes and have enjoyed all of them.
1.The Atmosphere is fun
2.The food was awesome and the service was top notch.
3.The Happy Hour is next level considering it’s every day!
With the weird hours/days my wife and I work it’s rare we can make any happy hour I have a feeling we will be coming in regularly.
We ordered the karrage, Bone marrow crab(not on happy hour),Philly and Cali roll and two drinks all under 55 bucks. I’m super impressed that they serve bone marrow at a reasonable price it feels like a delicacy and it didn’t leave my wallet in any pain.
The experience it self is fun we sat on mats near a large mural of an octopus locked in combat with a shogun. Come for a cut loose evening with no strings attached.
Our favorite Sushi spot! The Marry Me Roll is absolutely perfect! You can’t get those flavors anywhere else! The piranha roll was also delicious. Jalapeño pear martini was also to die for! 10/10 We sat on the patio to avoid the wait & although it was hot there was plenty of shades & fans which is always appreciated.
I come here 3-5 times a year the past 4 years. Their food is really good, haven't had ramen like this anywhere else in San Antonio (yet). The takoyaki and kaarage are also really good. The service is pretty average nothing out of the ordinary not bad either. Great place to hang out and is relatively affordable compared to other places you dine in.
Adam took such good care of us. We chose to sit at the bar, and still experienced supurb customer service and recommendations during "peak time" the ramen is full of robust flavors and the sushi was phenomenal. Would recommend to the best locals and tourists.
I am absolutely thrilled with their happy hour! Exceptional value for top-notch Japanese food – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The diverse happy hour menu offers a delightful array of rolls and appetizers. The ambiance is relaxed, and the attentive service makes the experience even more enjoyable. Me and my wife go all the time, and we can't wait to return!
My favorite choice for ramen and sushi. I’ve been going twice a week for months now and have had nothing short of excellent food and service.
Pro tip: ramen is less expensive before 3pm and from 3pm-6pm there is happy hour discounts on sushi rolls and small plates.
Absolutely delicious! They have an incredible happy hour every day from 3 to 6 pm that includes small plates, sushi rolls, sake, specialty cocktails, and beer. If you're a whisky drinker, then I highly recommend the Blackberry Smash. Their ramen selections will not disappoint.
The food was absolutely delicious.
I recommend the Garlic Albacore. It was my favorite.
Also the pork ribs were so good.
The atmosphere was nice.
I was a little annoyed that they asked us to wait outside for our table.
I think they could've invited us to have a drink or an appetizer at the bar instead, as it was not that busy.
The Malbec they offered was delicious.
I will visit again, buy next time with a reservation.
Some of the best ramen in San Antonio 😋 nice comfortable spot 👌🏼
Delicious food at a lovely place. I had the veg ramen, which was full of veggies as well as a mountain of noodles. I had the spicy edamame with it, and the contrast of the spicy and garlicky with the ramen was fantastic.
Excellent Japanese Street Food. Opted for their happy hour specials on sushi and wine 🍷a must try is their culinary masterpiece "Tuna Tower " a layered delicate balance of Sticky Seasoned rice, Crab, Avocado & Spicy Tuna mmm-mmm also recommend the
Bang Bang tempura Shrimp w sweet chili mayo -Each bite was bursting with flavor my taste buds very happy. The fresh and delicious sushi, coupled with friendly service and reasonable pricing, make it a great option for sushi lovers .Love their version of Zashiki , murals are amazing.
