I have lived in San Antonio for a while and was not aware of this jewel of a place. The pizza is by far the best I have had in this city. In fact, it may be the best I have had, period! And let's not forget the owner's hospitality! Mrs. Valdez was so hospitable, and always made sure we were taken care of while we dined. I cannot recommend this place enough! I will definitely be a repeat customer :)
Saturday, I went to an Italian restaurant, Braza Brava, in the shopping center at Broadway and Sunset. My life has changed. I ordered a pizza with just what I wanted on it. It was on my table in about 4 minutes. They have a pizza oven from Naples with red tile on it and it burns wood logs. That makes a very hot fire so it could be ready quickly. It was the best pizza I’ve had in years! The wood fire made black bubbles on the crust- oh, I’m drooling on my keyboard. They make the dough fresh daily and make their own mozzarella! Fresh, quality ingredients are evident in the taste.
There is plenty of parking, the venue is comfortable yet classy and the staff is so accommodating and friendly.
Wonderful restaurant. The interior is nostalgic of Italian restaurants circa 1970 without feeling dated. Exposed brick and repurposed wood modernizes the space. The menu includes handcrafted pizzas and classic Italian options. All of the food is made in house, and the care taken in preparation is obvious. The staff is friendly and happy to recommend their favorite dishes. Fantastic find!
Yum! Authentic, the staff was lovely, the place is cozy and comfortable. I enjoyed the appetizer, the pizza AND the dessert. I am a huge fan!
Food was delicious! Great atmosphere. We had the artichoke and the burrata appetizers, along with a brick oven pizza picante. Couldn't say anything bad about any of it. They even have half price wines all day Mondays and Tuesdays! Definitely recommend this place, especially after some painting across the way at Pinot's Palette.
Great place for authentic Neapolitan style pizza! Quiet and laid back ambiance. Good drink selection. Pizza was great.
Food was incredible and the dessert was amazing. The atmosphere is very relaxing especially with the piano music. Definitely will be coming back.
Their Caesar dressing is amazing as well as the pizza, the calzone, the lasagna.....great place all around & half price wine Mondays & Tuesdays
This Little Pizzeria is a very cozy spot. Nice inviting decor, with a very AUTHENTIC feel to it. Mauro is the chef there and he is from Italy and each pie that rolls out of that little red brick oven is another slice of the old country. The pizza pies were cooked properly and the ingredients tasted very fresh. The presentation was well done and didn't look thrown together. They have a well rounded wine selection on par with some other mid price point "FINE"dining establishments. The servers were amazing and one of the owners made rounds to the guests tables and at one point, while engaging with patrons she was actually clearing tables with a smile on her face! My whole family enjoyed this experience. My wife is also from Italy and her standards for pizza are very demanding. Mauro came out to the table and spent time between baking pies speaking with my wife in Italian discussing the old country. It was an AWESOME experience and we will be returning. WE DEFINITELY RECOMMEND Braza Brava!

Found this place with the help of Yelp and I was impressed. The place is so comfortable and cozy. I only had the meetballs and burrata but will definitely be going back for pizza and pasta because what I had was delicious! I had a chance to speak with the owner and she's a doll! If you're in the neighborhood you should try it!
Amazing! Great food! Service excellent. Piano nice touch. Highly recommend eating here. Already planning our next visit.
I've been here many times and I'm always very happy with the burrata and pizza with arugula and prosciutto. It's better than Dough IMHO.
I visited Braza Brava with the attorney I work for and it was great for a mini meeting with him. The place was peaceful yet fun with the half off wine special. The service was excellent! Our waiter Frank took great care of us.
Felice!. So great to have a friendly clean place to sit and enjoy fresh quality tastes of Italian fare brought joyfully to your table at great prices !
Nice atmosphere. Good service. GREAT food!!. I can't believe this place has only been open for a week and I didn't know sooner. The staff was friendly and full of smiles. The food was delicious. We had the Roman Artichokes and not only was it visually appealing but it tasted great. Very unique. The other items ordered were the Benita Margherita which was a play on the Margherita but with chorizo. Also had the Meatball Panini and the meatballs are my new favorite thing to eat. The staff said they should be getting their beer wine certificate soon so I will have to come back for sure!
Salsiccia picante pizza was so delicious. Restaurant has only been open for 2 weeks and I have been there 3 times.
The Pizzas are so delicious. I recommend the Salsiccia Picante & the Margarita Benita. The vegetarian pizzas are very very delicious too.
Stop by soon!
Fresh, flavorful Italian cuisine with a warm atmosphere and kind staff. Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned. House made Italian sausage was wonderful in the Toscana soup and didn’t have all the fatty fillers that you find. The tomatoes in the barrata were perfect. The Cacio e Pepe? Highly recommend. Creamy and cheesy pasta for those who appreciate real Italian cuisines. The negative reviews here prefer the salty, pre-packaged, Olive Garden variety. This place is small and worth a reservation for a perfect date night. Live piano on a Friday night was the cherry on top of our perfect dinner. Sure to impress. We will sit at the bar next time to watch the kitchen create fresh focaccia and more.
Very nice atmosphere, service was great. We were there for lunch on a Monday and it was nice and quiet. The pizza was great, crust was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back to try the handmade pasta!
Had a great work luncheon here ( 12 ppl) and service was great and food tasted great 👍
Great atmosphere and service. The food was rich and flavorful. I absolutely loved the pizza dough bread. The Pinot Noir knocked my Fiancé on her backside lol.
Excellent little Italian restaurant with amazing wood fired pizzas and homemade pasta! Wonderful service and comfortable atmosphere!
A gem of a restaurant. Their food is great. Ingredients are fresh and the place is so charming. They have a wonderful covered patio with a water fountain. Their staff is awesome. What really sells me on this place is their prices. They're more than reasonable. Their happy hr. is CRAZY. half hour wine on all bottles and glasses on Mondays and Tuesdays. And their happy hr snacks for 5 dollars are outstanding.
Stopped in here tonight for an early dinner. Casey provided excellent customer service. Restaurant was very clean and atmosphere was very nice. Once seated we were given water and excellent tasting house baked rustic bread. For our appetizer we choose the stuffed mushrooms which came with 4 Cremini mushrooms stuffed with hot Calabrese Salami and Genoa Salami, Parmigiano Reggiano, cream cheese and house-made mozzarella. Hubby had the Cacio e Pepe which was fresh pasta in a white wine cream sauce, tossed in a 24-month aged wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano and topped with fresh black pepper. He added salmon and grilled vegetables. I had the Jumbo shrimp with pasta primavera which consisted of wood fired shrimp with mixed vegetables and fettuccine pasta, in a white cream sauce and garnished with Parmigiano Reggiano. These were not jumbo sized shrimp. Pasta was very good and fresh tasting but needed a lot more seasoning. We also shared a Pizza Cannevale which was topped San Marzano, Italian sausage, house-made mozzarella, house-made basil and Pecorino Romano. We ended our meal with 2 cappuccinos and they were out of sugar so server offered us Splenda or Amaretti or caramel flavored syrup. Will return and would recommend.
Fantastic food, atmosphere, location, service, and entertainment. We had a special occasion dinner and they went above and beyond to make it special. Everything we ate was delicious. It's our new favorite spot. I recommend making reservations if possible, it's a popular place.
The food was solid, if not amazing Italian fare. They were playing old school Sinatra style music and the service was great. Would definitely be a great place for a cozy little date night. We were there on a weekday night and it was not crowded. It's kind of small so I imagine it could get pretty tight on weekends. We had the Burrata appetizer, which I'd definitely recommend

We went on a late Saturday afternoon after taking my niece to a birthday party. It's best to make a reservation before going. Specify that you want a table as they might put you at the bar. When we arrived we were put at the bar with our reservation of 3. They bring you bread and oil. The bread is made in the pizza oven.
Pepperoni Pizza - niece had a pepperoni pizza, and she left nothing! Good size personal pizza. I did steal a bite. It was delicious.
Spicy Pizza - Benita Piccante. Hubby had this pizza, and it was tasty. Serranos gave it a good spice.
Lobster bisque - hubby thought it was one of the best. I agree. It was very tasty with lots of different flavors
Meatballs - Polpette di Carne. They were good, but everything else we had outshined them.
Oyster Rockefeller - Yummy cooked oysters. I could have eaten 2 or 3 orders.
Cacio e pepe - Delicious! I added spinach to it. I'm hooked! I didn't even take a picture! I just got it and stuffed myself. Hubby came through and took pictures for me. I've since added them on my review.
Brava 75 - Was a tasty mimosa type drink :)
Will definitely be back.
Loved this place! The pizza was good and not expensive. We wanted to try the cheese pasta that they make in that cheese thingy but it was gonna take an hour but definitely coming back to try it next time. Nice service too!❤️

The meal was satisfactory. We had lunch, and our server, who also doubled as the bartender, was not very attentive, though not rude. The pizza we ordered was decent, but nothing exceptional. The bread they served was somewhat dry and unremarkable. On a positive note, the Caesar salad was quite enjoyable, both my husband and I liked it.
The restaurant was relatively quiet during lunch, with only about three other tables occupied, including an older family celebrating a birthday. Interestingly, I initially thought it was primarily a pizza place with a few Italian options, but it turned out to be a full Italian restaurant with numerous pizza choices.
While it wasn't a terrible experience, I don't believe we'll be returning. It didn't meet my expectations to make it onto my list of recommended places to eat in San Antonio. Overall, there's room for improvement in their service, but it could also be a spot for those seeking authentic Italian cuisine.
We were seated in the new section which is very nice and bright. Unfortunately, the acoustics were terrible. There was already a party of 8 which made it very loud. Then add our party of 5 which added to the din. Our server had some difficulty keeping up with us. We had asked for additional items which weren't served. However, because the food is so delicious we will be back.
