Amazing Penne Pasta and definitely could taste the NYC flavor in the sauce. If the slices were larger, it be pretty darn close to the true NY style pizza. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner and thank you to the friendly staff. No doubt, I will be going back for more.

I am a big fan of this place and have been for years....I recommend a pie with green olives and beef with extra sauce spread across it....thank me later....
This Pizza place is great could be a little friendlier and this place needs a complete overhaul it is a dive but pizza is great!
Today was my 4th trip to Ray's Pizzaria and was pleasantly surprised again. I did get pizza on my second trip...it was good. I had the Baked Ziti on my third trip...it was better than good. The meat-sauce surprised me yet again. But today's meal topped it all.
I ordered the Penne Pesto because I wanted to try something different with no tomato sauce involved. Once again it was preceded by the excellent side salad...which could have served as the whole meal for someone of a smaller appetite than mine. Then the Penne Pesto arrived in all its glory. Penne covered in a creamy pesto sauce with grilled chicken slices and mushrooms. The pesto sauce was incredible, ample enough to need the awesome focaccia bread to get every-last-drop! The penne and the chicken cooked near perfectly. If I had any complaint it would be the mushrooms. They were excellent but I needed more...I love mushrooms almost as much as I love cheese. Once again Ray's, thank you for an excellent meal.
Stopped by today with 2 coworkers and a take-out order for a 3rd coworker. Everyone was extremely happy with their meal. Excellent food, large servings and great prices!

Tried it for the first time...used GrubHub to deliver...it arrived quickly and the order was accurate. Very pleasantly surprised as the pizza is true NY style. I decided to order several items so that we would have leftovers for lunch and dinner tomorrow, including half sandwiches (Sicilian and Cheesesteak) and pasta (baked ziti and chicken fettuccine Alfredo). Everything was AMAZING. My husband is so picky but kept raving about it...especially the pizza. We’ll definitely return!
The wings were so delicious! The pizzas, mushrooms and other appetizers were very good. I love going here.
This is my all-time favorite! I'm a major pizza fanatic & very critical ! But this place takes the cake!

Just picked up my order at Walzem location. The pizza,cheese bread and chicken wings were excellent. The care given to making these three items for my family was done with pride.

When I worked in the area, I used to frequent Ray’s on Blanco. After a far too long hiatus, I discovered their new location and it is so nice! Their pizza is just as amazing as ever. In fact, I forgot how good it is! I got cheese pizza with feta and it was amazing. Their crust is excellent. The staff are all super friendly and I’m so happy I found them again. Will be back soon!!
I find myself eating here quite a bit and it never disappoints. From the delicious food to the excellent service and cozy atmosphere. This will always be my go to pizza place.
Food was good but a bit cold. A big portion with salad. Lasagna w/salad and very good tea.
This awesome team gets 5 stars from me as a great and I mean great stop in your day for a New York Slice. Just about anything you want, genuine and served hot & fresh. The place is honest, hardworking and unpretentious.

There are two Ray’s and they are not the same. It can be confusing sometimes so decided to try both. I did have this Rays spaghetti and meatballs before at their old location on Blanco and enjoyed it.
I wanted to compare but I should have looked at the menus first. I picked a sausage dish at the other place and no sausage dish was available here. So I ordered baked ziti. Beef, ricotta, mozzarella and marinara baked.
First off the people were very friendly and there was plenty of room for handicapped. They used the aluminum foil pan, which I much prefer for takeout. It keeps food warm much longer and no soaking up sauce onto foam. It’s 20 minutes away in traffic so that is important to me. Got home and finished my included salad and the food didn’t need reheating.
However this dish while tasty and satisfying was not spicy. I could have used some oregano or garlic or something. Very good bread is included.
However the salad was a 5 star. So wonderful for an included side salad. Just full of cheese, black olives etc. Wonderful blue cheese dressing.
I’ll have to come back for a slice or another dish. And looking forward to doing just that.
Che delizioso! I love the food here! Whenever I’m craving Italian this is my go to place. The Eggplant Parmigiana plate comes with a side of spaghetti, a salad and a roll. The Spaghetti and Meatballs plate is good too. But, last night I tried the cheesecake and the owner surprised me with his apricot sauce that was made from fresh apricots off his tree, and let me tell you! It was out of this world! I’m grateful for their business.
The food here is amazing! Fresh and delicious, made pretty quick! The veggie rolls are my fave, and the atmosphere is fun and colorful! Perfect place for a hangout!
The pizza is delicious. The toppings, bread, all of it was delicious and cooked perfectly.
The staff seemed a bit too busy. One person is handling tables, register, pickup orders and trying to get it all done.

Got the med margarita pizza, made fast, delicious crust, hubs loved the garlic content. It was fresh out of the oven ... vampires be warned ⚠️ this is not the pizza for you but everyone else will love it.
This new location feels as big as the last one but with way better parking and the same good lunch specials. The usual lunch special is two one topping slices with a drink for only about $8 after tax which is great. The pasta is also surprisingly good considering how quick it comes out. One gripe is that they keep it very warm inside, especially for San Antonio. The thermostat was set to 82° when I last visited. But beyond that, this a good lunch option.
I absolutely LOVE this pizza place! There's a woman in the front who looks like she'd be mean, but she's honestly cool af. The owner is nice, as are the other workers. Anytime my husband and I go, it takes around 10 minutes or less to receive our food. The pizza rolls are incredible and the perfect amount of food with a salad. My husband adores their pizzas. The one pictured is pepperoni with bacon. If you've never been, come here; you won't regret it. Seriously. Support local!♡
Great little Italian spot tucked away in a shopping center that I would not have normally gone to, except I did, and I am better for it. The food is really good for fast food Italian, so good I actually go here for an Italian fix instead of the countless other restaurants I need to pass on the way to get here. Do they have the selection of a sit-down table cloth type of Italian restaurant, no. Are there some dishes at other restaurants that do a thing or two better, sure. But this place has excellent food at fair prices, with great service. And let me tell you, I have paid twice as much for food half as good at some other Italian restaurants that I will refrain from mentioning. Those restaurants know who I am talking about.
The lunch specials are really good. I had the pepperoni slices which were very generous sizes (think Costco slice size), and the calzones looked great too.
