Glad they're back. I am now a regular at Sherry's Texan...at least once a week, usually breakfast and lunch. Lunch special is $6.50 including tea or coffee. 2 choices. The chicken and rice soup is really homemade and almost worth the trip. Haven't eaten there in the evening, but hope to soon, to get their famous fried shrimp. I love Bobby's too and have had great meals there. I'm a guy who likes to support small business especially on the southside. I have had unsweetened tea there, by the way.

Excellent experience all around. Our server was attentive and educated well on the menu. She checked in with us and brought everything we needed. Didn’t have to ask for anything at all.
Ordered the fried mushrooms for an appetizer. They are full mushrooms made in house. Everything was homemade and fantastic!
We had the chicken fried chicken and a fish platter. Portions are huge. I opted for the onion rings, which were wonderful. Salad was large. Soup was good.
Would definitely come back again! The place was completely full at lunch time. Lots of seating in the main room as well as an overflow room in the back.

It's Halloween... my husband and I decided to celebrate our 1 year anniversary here with my folks. We haven't been here for awhile but the food is still delicious. I loved all the halloween decorations and dress ups!
The fish had amazing flavor with the cornmeal batter. The jumbo shrimp had a garlic butter taste to them, which made them super juicy and exquisite. Of course the cheese sticks and onion rings are always amazing.
Our waitress was adorable and friendly. So glad we celebrated our day here.
Crowded here on a Fri mid day but we were seated quickly. Lots of choices but we opted for seafood today. Tried the mushrooms which were as big as golfballs! Excellent choice for starters. Wife had shrimp basket what was plentiful and good. I had the seafood platter which I couldn't finish. Really good food here and it shows by the loyal customers and regulars that frequent here. We'll be back to try something new. Give them a try 😉.

The staff accommodated my family for grandma's birthday. Mike was on top of it, making sure the drinks stayed full and keeping everyone happy.

It was a large CFS with fries. It was good, not at all greasy, and was very filling. Took most home! Shrimp and oyster basket was also quite tasty. Enjoyed it for our first time there!
I deliver shrimp to this location multiple times on our San Antonio routes. After doing some background, I decided this is definitely a spot to crash💥for lunch. I convinced one of my co-workers here we should eat lunch on this route stop, and WOW this place is a real South 🌟Texas down home restaurant and it looks/feels that way too. I ordered the shrimp and oyster basket to taste what product I deliver here and BOOM 🤯 best fried oysters ever (yet). The batters are very genuine and delicious totally different profile on shrimp and the giant oysters.
Can't wait to come back on a weekend or for lunch to try other things on the menu!!!! Don't listen to any negative reviews this place ROCKS ❤️ and my only complaint is there isn't a big badass neon sign for this 💎 in South San Antonio. This born in SA TX native approves!

It was busy cause the food is good and their prices are affordable. Lots of variety to pick from and waitresses are attentive and friendly. Best onion rings ever...big and tasty but a bit pricey. Will visit again God willing❤
Love a good hole in the wall joint! The food was good but not great. The beans were dry and looked burnt or overcooked. The Beef Enchiladas are big chunks of beef. It’s different from other beef restaurant enchiladas. I enjoyed it though. I would like to comeback and try the country fried steak and onion rings!

I love to take my grandparents here and they love coming. The food is always great quality and it's excellent comfort food. We always order the dried shrimp. This place has been here so long and there's not many other places quite like it. Also, if you like sweet tea, you will really like the sweet tea at Sherry's Texan.
We found this place by mistake and it did not disappoint. Chicken fried steak was cooked perfect. Onion rings was perfect and the tea was fresh. Our waitress was the sweetest lady. We will come back again for sure. Next time we will try the seafood and the Mexican food.
The food is awesome! If you’re hungry and you’re on a budget, go here! The fish plates are good also. My first choice if I’m dining in is the Chicken Fried Steak of course. If I’m dining at home I always go for the Family Fish order. The chicken fried steak offers a choice of mashers or fries and Texas toast. The family fish comes comes in multiples of 6,9,12 and comes with fries, tarter and lemon. But know coleslaw unfortunately. I’ve requested it many times but never have it. Get it!
Sherrys Texan Literally has the best fish, and chicken fried streak ever! Everything’s always made so fresh, and always taste delicious! Also the servers are so nice and ontop of everything, Definitely a spot you’ll need to try, you won’t regret it😋
I had never seen this place and one day I was just passing down Pleasanton rd. when I notice this place big size saying best fish in town well I decided to check it out turns out it was will be visiting this place more often. Next want to try out the chicken fried steak.
