I got a bunch of there different beans for Christmas this year. What I have had is fantastic. Great flavor and the coffee is fresh. If you want high quality coffee I recommend this. I still need to make the coffee using different methods but Im sure it is great! I am probably going to start buying coffee from these guys. Its affordable and its great!

Coffee done right. Huge selection of beans, at good prices and by the quarter pound if you want to try a bunch. Everybody is incredibly knowledgeable about each bean, knowing which bean best suits which drink. Had a few coffees made there while in town and took a few beans to try at home. All amazing! Wish we had one of these in St. Louis! Also, the arcade room looks like a blast. Was also impressed by the variety of coffee equipment they offered. If there was any weakness, it was that their tea selection was only great, not mind-blowing like the coffee. Even so, the barista definitely knew her teas! 5 of 5 would visit again.

It's the only roaster for coffee in San Antonio and the quality of the coffee operations is excellent. I went for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I think it's a good local place to get coffee if you are not a fan of the larger chains of coffee like Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. I love that it's a local establishment tailoring the coffee to the flavors of San Antonio residents.

Just moved to town from Fairbanks, AK where there's basically a coffee stand every 5 feet. I needed my daily coffee fix (despite being insanely hot), but everywhere I tried had subpar burnt beans (you know who you are, Starbucks). I tried a couple roasts from what's brewing and I'm happy to report its some of the best coffee I've ever had..and I've lived in Guatemala, Turkey, and the UK.. All places where you can get a quality cuppa.. Will continue to try all of their delicious roasts! Very impressed with this place! ❤️

My first taste of What’s Brewing was in the 90s when I worked at Java Joe’s. This was back when the location was in Lincoln Heights area. It was the best then and still is!! Thank you. I went in today and had a delicious blast! Love the pin ball games.

I love this place!! Where do I start? Super nice folks working there, dog friendly, delicious coffee, and so much variety to choose from is what one can anticipate here. The atmosphere is inviting, open, fun with the pinball machines and interesting with the behind the scenes work out in the open. I will 100% return.

I truly love it here!! I'm so glad someone told me about this place. This is one of those hidden gems. For us old timers who enjoy that nostalgic feeling of playing in an arcade, so many pinball machines to choose from. I definitely had fun and enjoyed every moment. I especially love how they provide gameboards as well to play while drinking your coffee! I love the whole vibe and atmosphere here, I love how you can watch them thru the glass windows to prepare your coffee beans. I recommend going very early to beat the crowd and kids because it can get crowded. I want to try more drinks here and I'm definitely going to buy their merchandise, they have some unique t-shirts and mugs.

This place has such fun vibes! They take both their coffee and their pinball seriously. The coffee is roasted in house (you can watch through a window). They have a bunch of varieties you can buy by the bag. I ordered a vanilla latte and a croissant. Both were SO good. As far as the pinball goes, there’s SO MANY fun pinball games.

This is officially my new favorite coffee house. I was a little skeptical at first due to it’s location being smack dab in the middle of a warehouse district, but it makes perfect sense. Their coffee is delicious, they have burlap sack after burlap sack of beans, AND it’s a pinball machine safe haven. Grab yourself a fresh latte or whatever strikes your fancy, play some games, or post up at a table or on one of the comfy couches with your laptop or a book.. this place has a ton of space, probably because it isn’t located in a busy strip center. It’s a hidden gem that is totally worth it. The vibe laid back, the staff is kind, service was quick, and it was really really cool getting to wander in the back and see some coffee masters weighing out beans and making coffee magic. Highly recommend.

Really great coffee and a fun atmosphere! There's a nice selection of pinball games from different areas (including modern) and there was a fairly large crowd of people playing. I'll definitely swing by to play a couple games and grab a coffee next time I'm nearby!

Very unique concept and location. Coffee and Pinball machines. I didn’t play any but the nostalgia will bring me back to play a few games. The coffee I had was coconut mocha hot … 🔥 Service was cool. There is not a lot of parking in the front but there is a lot of parking in the back. This place feels like a field trip with Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood. You get to see them roast and do work or play games. Plenty places to sit and you can buy beans from the soil of many countries.

Forget STARBUCKS! Come and taste the cool sensation of this future TREND-SETTING Java spot. They have a great assortment of varios coffee beans on display to tease your curiosity. They tinkle and display their process flavor experimentation thru a clear glass, which shows their large machinery (like a brewing beer bar but with coffee = cool)... but in the end,who cares, because They simply have very good coffee and many PINBALL MACHINES!!! Is like the child in you found balance with your adult version, and it is called "What's Brewing " I wish them good luck and longevity and, must importantly, growth!

I love coming to this place. Very friendly staff, really like their hot chocolate and their 30 plus pinball machines they have there. This location was very clean and had a good vibe to it, makes you feel right at home. I have brought both family and friends here. Definitely come check this place out.

Such a fun place! Not only do they have an amazing selection of beans to choose from to take home or brew there, they have an epic pinball collection! On certain nights, they host pinball leagues in the San Antonio area. They have an expert/professional league, Beginners league, and children's league. There is a wide range of pinball machines. From the classic wooden ones to the modern surround sound full immersive experience ones. The older ones have a little list in the top right hand corner on the machine that tells the year it was made along with a few fun facts. They range in price per game from .25-$1.00. Don't worry about bringing quarters, as they have a change machine ready for any $1-$20 denominations. They provide a large selection of coffee (see picture) to choose from. They will weigh it out for you to take home or they can brew it there. Excellent place to try new coffee or try a flight to see what type of coffee you like best. Our party came in with 7 people from ages 8 years old to 50 years old, and everyone had a fun time. The service here is prompt, friendly and knowledgeable about the coffee they offer and are happy to provide any answers to the style of coffee to recommend. Or any information of the styles of brewing coffee or the coffee itself. We enjoyed both the coffee and games.

Really cool coffee house with tons of pinball machines to play! I love how they have non-dairy milks to use in your coffee. Also they regularly partner with the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition which is super cool! They really care about cats at this place. Haven't tried the food yet as when I was there I didn't see any vegan items but hoping they add some soon!

Wow over 40 pinball machines👀. Latte coffee was good; wish they would have taken my name at register; it was confusing when they call out orders. Was pretty lively and busy for a weekday at 8am opening.
