This was my first time to order this kind of food. The girl was so very kind to explain everything and not get irritated when I didn’t quite catch on.
Food was delicious. I really like the fact that it’s vegan. Their help is very friendly and I will definitely be coming back.
This place is a fun new fusion food experience! The Hawaiian Poke Bowl was so good I didn’t need any soy. The sushirrito my husband made was amazing. Every bite was packed with flavor. Skip grabbing sushi some night and come here and add some miso soup on the side.
Delicious sushi at a great value! Today was my first time trying this place out and I was not disappointed. It seemed a little overwhelming with all the options, but I went with a 2 scoop "Hawaiian" burrito and tweaked it to my liking with some seaweed salad, radish, and some spicy ginger sauce. I loved it! This was a great alternative from the usual fast food fare out there and at a reasonable price. I'll definitely be coming back for more!
This place was very interesting. I had the cooked shrimp because I was nervous to try their packed uncooked salmon that sat in a pan... however, I was thoroughly happy with what I just. Burrito and drink 15.00$$$$!!! I’d go back but not for a typical lunch thing..
Typical Poke place. You pick your ingredients as you pass down the line and get your bowl at the register. Lots of fresh ingredients. I was a little take aback as the employee tilted my bowl too far causing
some of the ingredients to spill on the preparation line. They simply wiped up the ingredients and made no offer to replace them in my bowl. Not a huge deal but when you buy lunch and 1/4 of it is not there, I have to wonder.
Total was $14 .
I would return again
My son and his fiancee was in from out of state and wanted something good to eat before heading back home. I new they both liked sushi and told them I heard about a sushi burrito place. Let's just say this place blew our minds, he wishes they had one in Laurence, KS. I will definitely be going back and spreading the word 😉
Great place, very clever idea. Super delicioys and healthy. Kudos for taking care of our environment with their eco-friendly disposables. Thanks for doing your part Hula Poke. Wil definetly reccomend to anyone who loves burritos, mostly if they are looking for healthier alternatives.
This is one of my favorite Poke places to go.
I am confused as to why this location doesn't have the same menu items as the other one off of Bandera and 1604.
However the quality of ingredients is always good and taste delicious.
They also have Ramune that can be purchased to go with your poke bowl.
Please if you haven't been go, you don't want to miss out on what they have.
I've been here 4x this week and I will be coming back again! The poké has been consistently fresh, they give you so many topping options and the portions are satisfying.
Great selection of toppings to choose from. They are pretty sparing when it comes to their protein selection so if you are really hungry, consider the three protein option. Other than that, pack those toppings high and get yourself one of their Hawaiian drinks.
Pretty good! I had the spicy tuna bowl. They need more brown rice options for the wife. But, I'll be coming back again soon!
Been coming here for 2 years now. Always been good always will be. I often get lunch here as my office is nearby. Staff is friendly. Food is good. Ill keep coming for another 2 years
Passing through San Antonio, and of course if i get hungry i always look for sushi burrito places in big cities because I’m a big fan. I am very picky when it comes to sushi. And this place is gooooooood! Fresh and yummy!
It's worth checking out if you like sushi. I have taken my kids at separate occasions to get a quick lunch. The resturant is clean. They have self serve cucumber water while you wait. The process is quick. It is set up like a subway, you pick your base(bowl or burrito roll) and go down the line adding protiens and toppings and sauces. The prices are good for what it is. The end product smells amazing. The kids say it's yummy. We will be returning. Also, if you have someone that isn't a sushi eater there are other resturants in the same shopping center (pizza, bagels, pancakes) within walking distance to also grab food and go.

Hula (formerly Rolling Fish) is the original poke joint in San Antonio.
The food and toppings are fresh and delicious, and the value is even better. The price is determined by how many scoops of protein you want, but after that, the toppings are unlimited.
Although the sushiritto is a fun novelty meal, I would suggest getting a traditional poke bowl. The poke bowl can accommodate more toppings and is more filling, in my opinion.
Besides the food, there’s a good drink selection as well.
For the most part, you shouldn’t have a hard time finding a place to sit, but it’s a small little restaurant and fills up easily.
Glad to see Hula’s success and the addition of new locations!
My favorite go-to for lunch when at work. Staff has always been nice during my visits and the food appears fresh and of high quality. My favorite is the poke bowl with sushi rice, shrimp tempura and fried tofu. Pro tip: Ask for spicy cheetos on top of your poke bowl.
Will caution this is a small place with limited seating. Takeout may be your better option particularly during weekday lunch hours.
Amazing food! The portions are perfect. The food here is fresh and flavorful. The service is friendly and helpful every time. This location has the best poke bowl out of all restaurants serving this type of food in the entire city. If you are craving a poke bowl, sushi wrap, or poke salad, make the drive to this Hula Poke. I drive across the city just to come here when I want poke.
