Really great place. Got sat as soon as we walked in. Not to expensive and the food was good. The brown gravy was a little too thick. But overall, it's a good place to eat.

The Broken Egg Cafe was so worth the drive. Restaurant was packed on a Saturday morning. Picture is only part of their breakfast menu. The seasoning & grill flavor on the pork chops & eggs was perfect, with a side of toast & potatoes. The meat omelette with chorizo added was packed & too big to finish. The biscuits & gravy taste like your favorite grandmas old recipe. Staff was so friendly. Compliments to the gentleman at the front counter. & to the older gentleman asking people how their food was. Waitress could have been a little more accommodating but we were ok with it since they were packed & the food made up for it. Can’t wait to return to try other breakfast items & try their lunch menu. And of course to bring more family next time. Luckily we got an extra meal with our to go boxes. Returned to Broken Egg Cafe. Love the delicious taste of home cooking. Everything so fresh. The breakfast bowl perfectly grilled with eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage & cheese. Food is worth the wait. Will definitely keep returning. Waitress is so friendly & great at her job.

The Broken Egg Restaurant is one of our Sunday morning after church places to go eat. They have an excellent array of options for breakfast, but know they do not serve tacos on weekends, but this had never been an issue. They have a great selection of omelets, biscuits and gravy waffles, and pancakes. Our food has aways been hot and well prepared. I've enjoyed the Counrty Breakfast, Fajitas Omlette, and the Chicken and Waffles. The building is not fancy as you look at it from Hackerry St. The entrance and parking are in the back, and depending on when you get there, it can be crowed or empty. Don't worry, the food and service will not disappoint.

Food was very good, price is a little high but worth the cost. I also tried a potato and egg taco, it was good but the tortilla could be better. It was a package style tortilla.

Excellent little breakfast joint! Healthy food options, chef made omelette to order for me and accommodated special requests. Restaurant was quiet, staff friendly and service was personal. Will definitely come back and add to my Airbnb guide book.

Waitstaff was helpful and attentive to our party of 10. There are signs up regarding the shortage of staff, so service was slow. My skillet was good, the waffle could have used more flavor. Pricepoint and portions are very good.

Shut the front door!!!! Was my first time here at the Broken Egg Café. Oh what a treat! Was a little worried when I first walked in when I saw a wait line. But it was worth the wait! Fresh ingredients and served hot. Pancakes biscuits and coffee are some of the best in town. Stop by this place and you won’t be let down. Love these small businesses.

Overall, Great food!! It would've been a 5 Star but, the ketchup top looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. I hadn't been in since it became The Broken Egg Cafe. I ordered the French Toast breakfast plate. It came with 2 scrambled, my choice, 2 sausages, (my choice of meat) and 3 big brioche slices of french bread. I started off with the eggs which were unbelievably fluffy yet firm, not runny, and "airy." I hadn't had good eggs like these in a long long while. The sausages were Jimmy Dean-esque but, they weren't greasy. They had good texture and flavor. The french toast was on a brioche type bread which gave it a different texture and the flavor was good though. I ordered a couple the waffle to go and it was firm and a little bit of water condensation in the to go container. A return trip is planned to try some of the other plates on the menu.

Was crowded, but the wait wasn't too long. The menu was full of great selections, prices were great and the food was delicious! Tasted freshly made. The coffee was ok. They were short staffed this day, but we weren't able to tell with how they helped one another. Really impressed, I will be back.

Food was amazing and fresh! The vibe was chill and we got our food pretty quickly. Prices are for more or less like IHOP or Denny's. But the food is way better than either of those places.

The corn beef hash was delicious. There are so many great options here, from breakfast tacos to waffles to omelettes. The server was friendly, prompt, and attentive. The cashier was funny and friendly. This is a great breakfast spot with plenty of parking.

I had the corned beef hash with two over easy eggs! It was delicious! The restaurant was clean and service was good but a bit slow. The only reason we did not give 5 stars was that we asked for refills and never got them. In fairness they have up signs saying they are short staffed. But we will definatly be back!

This place is GREAT! We went at 10 am on a Sunday and there were plenty of people in the restaurant but we did not have to wait to get seated and the service was quick. Classic, good, unfussy breakfast. Here is what we ordered: Waffle and eggs with sausage. Everything was perfect, the type of breakfast I’ve been craving for a while. Fluffy waffle, eggs cooked very well, flavorful sausage. Country breakfast. A HUGE portion of biscuits and gravy that we all shared. It was great. Make your own omelette with potatoes and toast. Only downside here was that he requested hash browns instead of potatoes and did not get them, and reported the potatoes were less than great, but the omelette was fantastic. Kids pancakes. The pancakes were great and the perfect portion for either an actual kid or a small adult. Overall, if you want something casual and easy and out of the way of the busy, trendy breakfast places this is the spot. We left full, satisfied, and happy. Would 100% come back the next time I’m in San Antonio.

We were worried at first because the parking lot was pretty empty when we arrived. This is a small restaurant, but the tables are spaced well enough that there is still plenty of room between parties. The workers were very cordial and helpful. They answered all of our questions and were very patient with the kids. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The french toast was amazing. The eggs were scrambled perfectly and the bacon wasnt over or undercooked. They have plenty of options that were appropriate for kids including cereal. (The milk was served on the side so that was great!) I would definitely recommend this place.

Pros: excellent food at great prices. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. Cons: parking lot could use a make over. Highly recommended. Do yourself a favor and head on over. You can’t go wrong with anything you order here. Everything is delicious.
