Great for lunch. Very inexpensive. Food is good many homemade items like the tortillas. They have many beverages and dessert items from Mexico like Coke and Tamarind made with real sugar instead of corn syrup. Not much to look at on the outside but clearly a local favorite!
Food is very affordable and hits the spot.
Had a great meal at this place. I had ordered a couple of chicken fajita tacos. By chance, I asked if they had any mustard, because I love mustard and it pairs well with the chicken fajitas. At first, they said no, but then moments later, they came back with some mustard for my tacos. So, them going the extra mile to make my food even more delish scores extra points with me.
The atmosphere is also pleasing, seeing familar Jesus and Catholic imagery hanging on the walls. Whether you're the religious type or not, you can't help but notice the positivity and the Tex-Mex culture that flow through this establishment.
I would definitely recommend this place 100%.
From breakfast to lunch, it was good ππΎ the papas with bacon for breakfast was the first for me, really liked that ! Also went for lunch during my lunch break and got the Carne Guisada plate which was also good. Service was good first time around, second time around during my lunch hour wasn't so good but for the most part not as bad as reviews I read.
Went here all the time at lunch when doing construction work, the best tacos in all of San Antonio hands down as well as their habanero sauce that i cant find anywhere else
Great food very good price and very well serve and fresh love this place!!!
Love this little hole in the wall. Food is always hot and tasty. Sometimes, service is great sometimes, so so, but not because of rude servers but more a language issue. However, don't let that deter you
Idc. Food never disappoints. Close to my college campus. Always get a quick bite here.
I was able to call ahead since we work at the Toyota plant and have a short lunch break. Arive as they brought out the food nice and hot. Makes it easy to forget there's a winter pandamium outside. Thank You San Juanπ.
We dove hunt in this area every few years. When we do, we regularly return to Taqueria San Juan. The food is a little different than we are used to in Southeast Texas. My wife says it is more "authentically Mexican". It is very good. Most of us get Mexican food, but my son really likes the "Mexican hamburgers."
If you need very good food for your appetite this is your place πππ Food is Terrific !!!! Had a barbaco , patatoe/egg & chorizo/egg all on a flour tortilla that was cooked to perfection ππππ MAN !!! What a meal !!!! A Must Stop !!! Sorry about the tacos pic I couldn't wait !!!!
Great little local taqueria. Donβt let the outside fool you, the food is great. Street tacos are the best.
New place for us. A bit run down but those are the good places to eat.Fulling food, great flavor.Would definently come again.
Some of the best gorditas I've ever had. Neither one got soggy and fell apart. The chicken was flavored great. Lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. Rice was soggy but great. Beans had great flavor. Will be back!
A most excellent traditional Mexican restaurant! So glad we stopped there for lunch!
Food and service were good
