I have gone twice for the fried chicken meal and the appetiser basket ( I can never resist fried mushrooms). Their salted biscuits are my highlight and the main reason why I would keep going. The service is good too.
I would recommend getting the fried chicken rather than the steak when ordering the fried chicken meal ( you would think that based on the name the steak means a fillet chicken, but it was actually ground beef that was battered and fried which was not my cup of tea, so make sure you order the chicken if you do mot want to have the meat)
As you can see my empty plate says it all this place has delicious food! Everything was hot and fresh! We had a bit of a wait since it was packed but it was worth the wait! I literally had 3 cups of coffee ☕️ the coffee was perfect! Definitely recommend this place! 🥞🧇🥓🍳☕️
This is an older restaurant but very clean. There were four of us and everything we had was excellent. This is a locals restaurant. Very laid back and pleasant. ANDREA is a light in the world. We came in feeling we had known her our whole lives. She makes you feel LOVED. Give it a try they don't disappoint.
It was my first trip to a Jim’s Restaurant. Overall, they had a friendly staff, and the food was good. I went there yesterday (10/20/2023). My server “Jenn”, served 100% kindness, attentive, and portrayed a respectable manner. The toilets weren’t so clean though, and displayed a mildew ring around it. The base of the restaurant was clean. I will be going back to this restaurant another day. Also, they offer a (55+) menu for seniors. Thank you Jenn for a fantastic & stellar customer service.
Good food as always! Reasonable prices. Had the club sandwich combo and my mother ordered the liver and onions. She was as happy with hers as I was with mine. Three cheers for Carlos, our server! His positive and cheerful attitude was the icing on the cake for our visit! Highly recommend!
Came with both kids on a Monday AM . Actually on labor day. We got set quick, or order taken quick. Don't remember the waitress's name but she was very helpful. everything was brought out in a timely manner. Food was good 👍 me and my daughter cleaned our plates lol
Always friendly service. It was very cold in the restaurant while we first arrived, but the waitress was a nice enough to adjust the temperature of the air conditioning. make it comfortable for us. I had the liver and onions, which I what usually get. It tasted fine, but made me horribly sick within an hour of eating it. I remained sick for the rest of the day and evening yesterday. Feeling much better today. I did notice that the onions weren't grilled all the way thru, I'm thinking that this was the possible culprit that made me ill. Hoping that this was an isolated incident, and based on my past experiences, I would still return to this Jims for a meal.
My wife and I ate breakfast this morning. I ate the Spanish Omlet and she had French toast. Both plates tasted great. The food and service are good. The place could use a makeover. It's still a good palec to eat.
I had the migas and hubby had juevos Ranchero and sausage my kiddo had eggs with bacon and biscuit. Both plates looked delicious and tasted amazing. Carlos was our waiter and he was awesome. Carlos made me feel like I was eating at my home. We will definitely be coming back here. Oh both plates didn't need any sauce of any kind they were that delicious. Thank you to the cooks and Carlos!
Friendly staff and good food. I loved our waitresses good humor. The bathrooms could use some help, but overall this is a great place!
Jim's was one of my Pop's favorite spots (may he rest in peace), and I see why. The Jim's Marbach and 410 brings back such fond memories! I got to go for the first time in years since Pop left, and it is still a great spot for just "down-home" cooking and friendly staff. Will be back soon. ❤
Pretty good place to visit. Food is really good and it's not that expensive. We had a great waitress. Good flavor on food.
Update: Busy, floors were dirty. Coffee and breakfast were good. Waitress was good, just slow down. LoL

Great diner with all day breakfast; simple and quiet - just what I wanted! And my waiter was amazing, from how he greeted me right away at the door, to service at the table and then even pitched in to help me pay at the counter. Can't recall his name (Roberto? Receipt says server #31 - great job!!).
The food was good and the service was a lil slow because short staff but the waitress was super nice and super helpful
This is a great Jim's. I love all Jims but this one and the one on Bandera Rd has a nostalgic place in my heart. The appetizers and main course came out quick. The coffee was hot and the iced tea and water were ice cold. I didn't catch my server's name but she was "Server 31 am". She was great. I didnt have to ask for refills. The food was Jim's good. Meaning it's always good. I would definitely go back.
