Ordered the chicken katsu and it was really good. And a Robertson pineapple martini, it was good just a little bitter at times but it was good. The chocolate chip macadamian nut cheesecake was really good, the best part add the fresh strawberry puree on top it makes it even better.

One of the best restaurants in San Clemente. Food is delicious and their prices are reasonable 👌Parking was easy and fast, great service! I found items on the menu I haven't seen anywhere else so they get extra points for that. Also thanks for happy hour! 😊

Good GRIEF this place is great and serves up massive amounts of delicious Hawaiian food. We really didn’t need the appetizer…but it was superb. Between the two of us we could not finish this plate! We did make a valiant effort, though. If you’re driving between LA and San Diego, this is a perfect stop for lunch. Cheerful staff and a nice space.

Great place in San clemente with parking lot ans street parking. The food was great and we just happened to show up on Wednesday wine night! Service was fast and the food was delicious. Shared a plate of meat and veggies (da biggest mixed plate) with my fiance and the amount and the variety of meats and flavors plus 3 sides (highly recommend the veggies) you get was great. Will def return!

We lived on Oahu for around 10 years so we decided to try Hapa J's. We were surprised by the portions and it was definitely worth the price. It really did remind us of all of the plate lunch places out there but better quality food here. We walked out with over half of our food in to go containers because we couldn't eat any more! Lol. Our service was also really good and very laid back. Anyone that's ever been to Hawaii will appreciate the chill atmosphere here. We will definitely go back!

Great service and great food! This is a favorite local handoff recommended by friends who live in town. We ordered the loco moco: a Hawaiian favorite with a grilled beef hamburger patty, and eggs over easy, smothered in brown gravy and over rice, with a side of Hawaiian mac salad. We also shared a plate of Hapa J's Chili Cheese fries: their seasoned fries, tossed in wing sauce and garnished with chili, shredded cheese and garlic aioli.

This place is an absolute gem. Everything we got was so flavorful, absolutely delicious, and the portions were great! We got the pork sliders with the mac salad and the spam musubi with sausage as appetizers. The sliders were packed with pork, served with a generous portion of Mac salad. Then we split the shrimp po boy with fries. The fries were extra crispy and the po boy was served with a slaw and relish that were out of this world delicious. We finished with the bread pudding. It was a huge portion, served warm with strawberry slices, whip cream, and some sort of lemon custard, again all excellent. We went in for dinner on a Monday night and got all the happy hour deals which is the move. They were not busy and their happy hours deals are a huge money saver which encouraged us to try more things and I’m glad we did! It was all spectacular and I’m dying to go back!

Great Hawaiian food! Affordable prices were surprising given how much food was on each plate. Very authentic and well seasoned. Top 5 Hawaiian restaurants I've been to.

Delectable! This place has delicious appetizers and main entrees. More than likely you will go home with eats for later, because they have good portions that will definitely fill you up. All of the staff was kind and gave great recommendations as well.
