Busy day in downtown street music festival. They were able to seat us quickly. Served us quickly. Tables were clean,server was friendly. This Restaurant is downtown lots of window seating. Parking is tough here especially today. Big bar bathrooms were clean. Food we ordered was served quickly and was terrific. I had a great experience here today. Thank you.
We ate here on a Saturday afternoon. Loved that it has a pet menu and pet friendly patio with heaters. Great coco margarita and veggie Chile relleno, great service.

Lacked flavor for my tastes. Kept adding salt but didnt taste any of the mixed veggie flavor you might expect. More onions in it than I cared for but a good size bowl of food along with the chips an salsa. Nothing wrong with this place though in a prime Del Mar Street location. My second ever visit.
The service is great and staff is friendly and warm while the food is hard to say. The meat is dry and the taste is weird.
I've been multiple Avila's location. This is become a must stop when I visiting from Washington!
I love how the staff does an amazing job embracing you and making you feel like your family or friends. Even though it's often my first time visiting one of their locations.
This is real authentic Mexican food. Their food is always extremely consistent. I always make it a point to find a location when I am in the area. The Avila’s famous caldo is worth it! I always enjoy the crispy tacos. But you can never got wrong with the streak and prawns.
Parking for this location can be a bit tricky. As there is so much going on in the downtown San Clemente area.
I love the salsa sauce here. Very spicy 😋!! All food have big portions, even the kids menu! If your kids don't eat much, don't order too much. The grilled chicken salad was okay; the sauce was too sour. The burger was huge. The fries were okay.
Brought my brother here for his birthday and all the food was fantastic. I'm a pretty tough judge on Mexican food too but it was authentic and well made. We ordered a bit of everything although his carne asada quesadilla is what I should have ordered. The fajitas were good but I've had better elsewhere. One warning is do not order the fried ice cream. That is the one thing I advise against. The free chips and salsa were very good and we asked for seconds. A slight kick and spicier than what most places give out.
Yummy food and house margaritas. We had the shredded chicken nachos and a hard taco and were happy! Good service and great location in downtown San Clemente. We sat on the patio with our pup!
My favorite Mexican restaurant when I’m in San Clemente, great food, good vibes and awesome service, the restaurant is right in the middle of great shopping and literally a walk down to the beach, I’ll definitely continue coming this restaurant 💙
This is a great mexican food place near the beach with fast, quality and friendly service. Sam was a great, friendly server and the food was excellent. Whenever we are back in the San Clemente area this is definitely on the list.
My wife and I ate here and loved it. The food and service were amazing. The only issue is trying to find close parking the area is normally busy.
5 stars for the waiter who handed me ketchup and said enjoy my Happy Meal, he made our night. Great food, great service, and a cool location.
The food and service were really good! We got enchiladas, fajitas, and chile-rellano. It all tasted very good. Food wasn't that expensive.
