The chicken here is the star of the show. Great flavor, no reason to get grilled chicken anywhere else. The ribs however didn't thrill me although someone else in my group thought they were great. The coleslaw here is too heavy on the mayo for me. The quesadilla was solid but that's hard to screw up. We ordered online and food was ready when we arrived. I'd definitely come back for the chicken and to try out some other things.
This used to be my go to Sunday afternoon meal when I was stationed down the street over 15 years ago, it's amazing the big dude is still there chopping up this perfectly grilled chicken. Easy to see why their business lasted so long, good simple food at a reasonable price and filling portions. Great memories, great service, by far the best chicken with garlic lemon sauce you'll ever have.

Stopped for a quick bite on our way to Long Beach from San Diego. I picked this place because it had a good rating but I didn’t have my hopes too high as our Mexican food in San Diego is so good. This is some authentic, filled with love chicken. We got an assortment of quesadillas and I don’t know which one I like the most. The chicken is cooked on a grill in the middle of the dining room so there is no hiding what they are doing. This is a nice mom and pop type place where they probably spend too much time and too much effort on their food, and we are the benefactors of that. The chicken was full of flavor and juicy, not slathered with a bunch of sauces to mask what it really is, just good chicken cooked right. The cheese and tortillas were awesome. The Carne Asada quesadilla was just as good, you could really taste the quality of the meat as there are only three ingredients. The place was clean and everybody was friendly, and I especially like how they cook the chicken in front of you. The only criticism I would have is I don’t get the salad thing. It seems a lot of places in OC/LA like to put lettuce either next to or in the food. San Diego doesn’t have time for lettuce in Mexican food. The guacamole was placed on the lettuce which makes it very difficult to enjoy the guacamole on your quesadilla without having a bunch of lettuce mixed in. Next time I will remember to ask for no lettuce. Overall this is a great experience and we will look forward to stopping in on our next trip.
We were treated so kindly, and the owners kept the place immaculate. And the food was hot and fresh and yummy. Parents know how it's a huge plus when you find a place that your child enjoys because their tastebuds are very critical of what tastes good, and this establishment received an A+ from our kido. We'll be back soon!
Straight up a good grilled chicken. We got a whole chicken with 3 sides, rice, beans, and Coleslaw and all 3 sides were good. The chicken came with tortillas "corn or Flower" guacamole and salsa which also was good. So with all of that you can make a really good burrito or soft taco and what can be wrong with that? The restaurant is clean and has seating inside and outside which is nice if you have your dog with you. The menu has a good selection of dishes to choose from, The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I can honestly say that I will be going back to try out the other menu items. The food is good quality and fresh made which is great. If you are ever in the area and you want something that's not fast food? Then you need to check it out.
Probably the best chicken burrito I've ever had. It is authentic central America food but they also sell some crowd pleasers (like burritos). Really really well seasoned chicken and fresh veggies.
Surfin Chicken is a new chain in Reno. They are quality chicken comfort food at a value price. Very reasonable in these times where many others are jacking up prices. The people there were professional and friendly. The loaded fries options are great. I got the spicy chicken sandwich meal and upgraded to the cheesey ranch fries they didn't disappoint. If you haven't tried Surfin Chicken yet, I recommend it!
TOP RESTAURANT in ave pico san clemente area. The chicken here is unbeatable so far. No lathering of bbq sauce or obnoxious flavors. Straight fire chicken bathed in garlic and lime, along with the jalapeno sauce or Chile de arbol, if your in time get the posole, if your a salad person get a bowl, with the shrimp, so many delicious options, definitely a MUST STOP at san Clemente. The owners Joan and Karen take pride in there small restaurant and its noticeable. Great job surfin chicken.
Stopped on our way to San Diego and glad we did. The green spicy salsa was delicious. We loved everything we had. Prices are great. I would definitely come back.
Surfin' Chicken Grill was amazing. I had the Carne Asada nachos and they were so good. They make Burritos, tacos, posole, chicken plates you name it they have it. Please everyone go try out Surfin' Chicken Grill. I wish I had tried it before. Thank you so much Jo!!
