Amazing food and service!!! I met the owner while he was shopping at my Albertsons Butcher Counter. He graciously introduced himself and bought quality meat for his business. He has since come back week after week insisting on buying only the freshest quality beef and chicken. He had also asked me to come and try his food. Tonight I ate at Cafe Mint and tasted the beautiful flavors of the Middle East and the Mediterranean. My meal was custom, designed and made by the owner himself. From food to customer service this was a great experience. He first brought an appetizer of homemade hummus and chips, next two large dishes of chicken, beef, rice, and a salad. The beef had a great flavor, indescribable by me. The chicken had medium spice complimented by a refreshing salad. Pita bread was also provided with a homemade garlic sauce. Then came the final main course (his preferred dish). A delightfully moist and tender chicken dish served with rice and a salad. He spoke about his quest to find the right chicken for this dish; halal certified chicken in this case. My experience here at Cafe Mint was great! It is conveniently located in Talega, San Clemente with both indoor and outdoor dining. The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable about how the food is prepared and made. I give Cafe Mint 6/5 stars for an excellent dinner out. I’ll be referring my friends and family and I’ll certainly be coming back myself.

This is a delight in San Clemente. One of the most exquisite Lebanese/Mediterranean quick-bite-restaurant around. Needless to say that portions are generous and taste is authentic; check out the pictures. I highly recommend this place any day!

I honestly wasn’t expecting anything when I placed an order to pick up here, I just wanted some hummus and falafel. I was so pleasantly surprised with my experience and had I expected anything, i would not have been disappointed. Mike and Suel (Sue) are such generous and kind people and take pride in the food they make. They aren’t kidding when they say the falafel is a must try… it’s freshly made everyday (with FRESH ingredients) and you can taste the cilantro and jalapeño in each fluffy delicious bite. I don’t even typically care for baba ghanoush, but it was so perfectly blended and those beautiful pomegranates on top are the perfect addition. Everything was amazing, service was wonderful and from good people, I will definitely be back to get more of everything i had tonight and to try other things too!

Very clean and good food! We ordered ours to go and we really liked that the containers weren't flimsy. Everything was separated and was still perfect/ hot when we got back home. We definitely will go back!

If you haven't been recently, you are going to be pleasantly surprised. The new partners who have come in are beyond wonderful, just like the previous guys! It's a husband and wife team, she is the chef and takes such pride in her dishes. They prepare everything by hand, fresh daily. They cut the meat themself, they use only the highest quality. I could really taste the difference-- my whole family thought so too! We love Cafe Mint and are so happy the restaurant is thriving and in good hands! We love everyone who has come in there. The babaganoush (??) and the hummus and tabouli and lentil soup and chicken kebabs, oh my gosh I could go on and on-- they are unreal in flavor and freshness!! Do yourself a favor and give it a try!!

Super delicious, I've been eating here for years always fresh and delicious. Turkish coffee and baklava was perfect after a filling "mint Cali bowl" with chicken. Felt at home food felt home cooked without a doubt the best Mediterranean in town.

Very tasty grilled food. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The customers weren't only Mediterranean, and most were families. The main order's portion wasn't large to my liking, but the sides were great. I rarely face restaurant staff that are friendly, yet not too talkative. These people fit that nice profile.

I had the Chicken Shawarma plate and it was terrific. Came with hummus, salad, rice and some pita bread. Everything tasted delicious and was fresh. It was the second time and it was good both times. The cashier was friendly and helpful. Im happy to have this type of food available in San Clemente. We used to have the other chain place down the street starting with a D which was marginal. Its gone now and this place is much better.

This place is incredible! The hummus is on par with what you find in the Middle East. The dolmas are so good you won't be able to stop eating them. The meats are juicy and cooked to order. The portions are generous. I highly recommend trying all of their dishes.

Cafe Mint was great as always. My owner treated me and two other colleagues to lunch. The chicken shawarma was outstanding and we also had a little baklava. I've had this same food in the Med as well, and CM does it right.

I would've given their food 5 stars if the rice wasn't so dry. Other than that the dish was astonishing! I'm from down south, so when it comes to southern fried chicken there's nothing better. But the "Chicken Kabob" plate on the menu?!?!?! I don't know what/how/they did it, but literally it tastes like it was made by God's personal chef HIMSELF! So now I go back simply for bowls of Chicken Kabob's haha.

Came here after swimming in Talega with my boyfriend. This place is awesome- all kinds of options and service was great! Pretty sure it’s a family-owned small business which is even better! Can’t wait to come back. There’s something here for everyone- from healthy lean plates and bowls to heavier plates with perfectly cooked rice and meat! Love it and highly recommend!

Good food. Got the Lamb plate and Moussaka plate. Both tasty and fresh. Tzaki sauce spot on. Hummus good. Moussaka very good and served differently than I'm used to or make but very good and I'm Greek. A little pricy on the portions. And how come everybody got a pic of two kabobs and I got one!? $30 bucks, come on, guys. But I'll be back.
