This place offers indoor dining! Great place to buy some groceries have some lunch and even has crepes! This store has all the authentic Japanese sauces, noodles, ingredients and Japanese desserts! Really enjoyed our lunch! Two restaurants to choose from. Great katsudon and Ramen! This is found in a shopping center with plenty of parking.
Nice little ramen spot located inside Mitsuwa Market.
Ordered the Shoyu Ramen with Ikura rice bowl. The broth was rich and flavorful. Noodles were nice and chewy and paired well with the rest of the ramen. Definitely no complaints when it comes to that. The Ikura was also great.
The toppings were also quite good for the most part. The pork chashu cuts while nice and fatty was just a bit too chewy. Egg was seasoned well but just a little too hard boiled to my taste. That's just my personal opinion but I'm sure most people will still love how delicious the rest of the ramen is.
Even though it's not my personal favorite I would still highly recommend this place if you're craving some quick tasty ramen.
Broth 5/5
Noodles 4.5/5
Toppings 4/5
Egg 4/5
Appetizers 4.5/5
Santouka ramen has some of the best ramen in San Diego. Rich, tasty, with good temperature, texture and firmness.
While the atmosphere is not appealing - it is in a small supermarket food court. And the service is just an order counter. But the ramen is why you should come here.
You may think that it would not be good, but try it! You will not be disappointed.
Good, fast ramen. Can be busy during lunch hour and so it might be hard to get a seat, but overall good place to get a quick and decent meal. Ramen is good, and relatively cheap.
Located inside the Mitsuwa grocery store, the inviting glass case menu display helped make ordering easier. Pretty standard ramen, order at the counter and sit yourself style eatery. Ramen was satisfying and food came out pretty quickly. Have some water ready, mouth was dry after finishing our high sodium meal.
Their charsiu pork bowls are LEGIT.
Ramen is solid, too — my husband always raves about his, but the couple times I’ve had their ramen, the egg yolk was too done for my taste. I prefer jammy/softboiled eggs in my ramen, and theirs are more hardboiled.
Service is always excellent. I’d give 5 stars if the charsiu pork bowls were larger (but tbh, they’ll never be big enough! 🤤) and if the eggs were truly softboiled, as is the standard at many similar restaurants.
Solid 4/5 for the spicy miso ramen. Not a heavy base and mild on the spiciness. A good meal, leaving you satisfied. If you are trying to recover from a heavy drinking you need that heavy base and hot spice. Not the place for that.
Nice ramen shop inside the Mitsuwa Market. Really excellent broth, some of the best I've ever had!
I'd definitely recommend ordering extra Tokusen toroniku! Also definitely order chili oil on the side as well. It really brings this ramen up to the next level!
Service here was also fast, so a great spot to pick up a quick lunch as well.
It's one of the best and tasty ramen for an affordable price. I got the spicy miso Chasu large ramen and it's so delicious.
I like the spicy miso ramen, good flavor, right quantity, and very good. Inorder the combo #62 and it came with the salmon rice bowl, simple flavors, and delicious.
Absolute staple in the ramen scene. Simple, affordable, delicious.
Great ramen especially for the price. I like the spicy miso. It's in mitsuwa market, just look left when you enter.
The ramen is always good here, never had a complaint. Everyone is super nice and helpful as well. They have different sizes of ramen as well as different sides you can get as well.
Best stateside location. Food is super consistent, seating is average as it’s just a food court but the guy who cleans the tables is always friendly and prompt with getting newly vacated tables ready to use
By far the best place to go when visiting California. They had a variety of bentos and ready-to-eat food options. From poke bowls to triangles to karaage to mochi to breakfast bowls to sushi to veggie tempura!!!
This is the go-to spot for ramen. It’s so good! Highly recommend the pork rice bowl combo.
Really really good ramen. As good as many ramen restaurants at half the price.
Ramen is delicious and the pork rice bowl is also yummy! The egg is all the way cooked, this restaurant is old school ramen. Shop is inside the market and is always busy, so don't try during your short lunch hour. Parking lot is also very busy!
