My husband and I went here on our honeymoon and it turned into one of our favorite breakfast places in San Diego. We recently took a couple family members when we visited and everything was just as amazing as before. Each time we were seated very quickly, service was on point, and the food was beyond fantastic. They also have a gluten free menu and vegan options. Sitting outside on the patio is ideal, but most people are waiting to sit outside so you have a better chance getting a table if you choose to sit inside.

Great French toast. My entire party liked their food except the turkey pesto sandwich. The bread was really thick which made the sandwich dry and hard to eat. The server was helpful, attentive and kind. The place looked grungy inside. It's been a few years since I've been and it just looked a little sad.

Delicious, ordered the chicken apple sausage frittata, can't wait to visit again to try more items on their menu. Orange juice was delicious as well.

Went to breakfast with a friend who lives right nearby, this morning lace definitely seems like a staple in the neighborhood. We were able to sit down right away at 9:30am on a Sunday. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was truly delicious, I got the banana caramel French toast which was so yummy, it’s dense and totally hot the spot.

Great service, quick seating, good food. Pancakes were good, loco moco was just okay (lived in Hawaii so I'm a tough crowd), and the rancheros Verde was good. Coffee was good too. Loved the atmosphere! Definitely recommend.

Our family loves The Mission. We've come here on several occasions when visiting San Diego. The gluten free options are so nice! Great selection of breakfasts from the sweet to the savory and they are wonderful with kids. I mean...look at these dishes...drool over them...and then plan your visit. You'll be glad you did. Just go early and avoid lines!

I had never been to this restaurant and let me tell you. Ill be back! Yesterday Sunday morning Maria my server was super friendly and was quick to bring us anything we asked for. Another girl with black hair i think she was the manager she was also very friendly and constantly checked if we needed anything and asked how our drinks and food was several times. She also recommended the french toast which was amazing. I will definitely be coming back. Those 2 people from the staff that i meet made my experience that much better. I loved it.

Overall: 3.7/5 (dine in) The place was empty when we came in for late lunch on Friday afternoon. It took a while for the food to come out all at once but the portions were huge. The people here are super nice. Our waiter was attentive and always had our water refilled. Mango Green Tea Smoothie ($8): This was not good and tasted spicy from the tajin dust. Mission Chilaquiles ($14): This was a huge dish of black beans with the chips and eggs on top. I like it when the chips are coated with the eggs instead and had better chilaquiles elsewhere. I thought this one was lacking flavor so I used a lot of hot sauce. Sweet Hawaiian Portuguese Linguica ($13) + four strips of double smoked bacon ($5): I didn't get to try this but both the guys who got this really liked it and were satisfied after their meal.

Delicious breakfast spot in Downtown San Diego. Service was on point. Food came out quick. My only complaint is that the chips in my chilaquiles was soggy. Chilaquiles had good flavor though. Came here during a weekday, so everything was quick- but I imagine the weekends might have a longer wait time.

We had breakfast here-i had banana granola pancakes-they were not bad but they had dry batter. My husband had mission chilaquiles-he liked it a lot.

Such a staple breakfast joint in San Diego! The Mission is absolutely, positively one of the best breakfasts you can enjoy in SD! Even though not pictured...their French Toast is probably the best you will ever have - homemade bread with the perfect amount of cinnamon! Their burritos are top notch and same with their turkey sandwich (also not pictured 🤷🏻‍♂️). Really cannot go wrong with any item off the menu you choose to order!

Delicious food in a beautiful open-air indoor setting. I had been told to try the breakfast potatoes, and they were AMAZING! Portuguese linguica was also very good. Mimosas were heavy on the champagne, but not a bad selection.

Food is good, but not quite as good as the original location in Mission Beach. However, the service here is incredible. Some of the most genuine and helpful staff you can find anywhere.,

You want to feel like you've won the lottery? How about the feeling of a shirt fresh out of the dryer, or how good a warm shower feels when it's cold out? Remember your first love as a kid? What about someone telling you that you look nice on a day when you don't feel like you do? Take all of those feelings, bundle them up in a tight package and call it breakfast. That's what you get at this joint. I've been going there for the past handful of years. I go to San Diego once a year for a conference and this place is my go to. It's not just that the food is great, or the vibe is perfect on a nice crisp morning....okay...well I guess that's all there is, but that is enough. The food is always on point, the eggs are scrambled to perfection, and the helpings are generous. I defy you to find a better breakfast than the Mission Rosemary, and will fight you if you say you've got something better. Seriously. To the kind folks who own/run this establishment- At this point, I don't even care about the conference that I go to, I only come to San Diego to eat your delicious food. Never change, and never close, or I will fight you too.

This spot popped up on TripAdvisor so we decided to walk over from the omni. Nice family feel. Staff overall was very welcoming, our server not to much but our order was accurate and hot. Pricing was as expected for two. Portions were big as well

Grilled Rosemary bread slice - amazing. Soft with a thin crunch on the outside, and that buttery rosemary flavoring works so well. Rosemary potatoes - very good. Corn flame pancakes - the corn flake crunch makes it interesting. Cinnamon french toast - my least favorite among this order, but still above average.

We love the Mission and have been coming here for over 15 years! It is the best breakfast place in San Diego. Our go to meal is Papa's Loco with eggs and the French toast.
