Reviews Piacere Mio

Not fancy by any means but portions are generous, service is efficient, and the atmosphere is casual. My spaghetti was quite good (though not mind-blowing), my glass of red wine was delivered within a minute of ordering and VERY generously poured, and the tiramisu was gigantic, flavorful, and light. Complimentary bread and olive oil was served as soon as we sat. Come for date night, when you’re flying solo, or with the whole family.

Authentic Italian from the food to the people….across the board delicious. Ordered pizza, gnocchi, soup and all was tasty. We walked in on a Monday with 6 people and they sat us right away. We’ll be back when we’re in town.

The food here is so delicious, it will haunt me forever! Just incredible! Every staff member was just super friendly and exuberant! The pasta, the sauce, the meatballs, were all exceptionally perfect and tasted amazing! Can’t wait to come back!

I’m not quite sure if this place is a hidden gem anymore, but it’s definitely a gem 💎 Authentic, delicious, rich in flavor all at an affordable cost! We’ve been here at least 4-5 times, and Piacere Mio does not disappoint. Their wine selection is also *chef’s kiss* and you can’t go wrong with any of the pasta dishes. We definitely recommend…oh and bonus points for being able to reserve online! 🫶🏽

The Italian waitress who served the food was super helpful and friendly! This is so far the best Italian food I’ve tried in San Diego. The portion of each dish was big and it’s very tasty 😋. Can’t miss this restaurant when you’re in town!!!

Our first foray into San Diego certainly set the bar high when it comes to dining. Our friends from out of state were staying in SD for a birthday celebration so we made the trip down to visit with them. We needed somewhere to sit down for a nice dinner and Piacere Mio looked like it fit the bill. That was an understatement. This place has everything I would want in an Italian restaurant. It’s got the hustle and bustle of a neighborhood favorite, beautiful and tasteful decor, excellent service and FOOD! The food! I’m a sucker for fresh made pasta and this didn’t disappoint. Every dish we ordered was ample, delicious, and totally Italian. We live two hours away and agreed we would travel down just to eat at this place.

A little out of the way if you’re visiting but well worth the drive. Food was very nice and service was good. If you’re sat outside unfortunately you’re a little out of the way. Would recommend but definitely book in advance.

I took my husband here for his birthday and I we couldn’t have asked for a better meal and experience. The food is perfection. The service is crazy amazing. They go above and beyond to make you feel like you are a part of their family. We are seriously coming back the next time we’re in town. Unforgettable.

Great location with great food. I got the squid ink seafood pasta, and my wife had the cat eat pasta, both are very good.

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in San Diego. The waiters are authentic, the food is incredible, and the ambience is divine. Our favorite dish is definitely the eggplant ravioli. It comes in a pink cream sauce that’s to die for. Other good items on the menu: pesto lasagna, orecchiette, and gnocchi. They also do some great gluten free options. We will be back very soon!

The food is DEEEELICIOUS! The prices are reasonable. The staff are great. Located in a cute, walkable community with easy parking. Our favorite Italian restaurant in SD hands down! On weekends the restaurant is packed and loud. Despite having had a reservation, we still had to wait an additional 45 mins outside — that’s not good for business in the long run. We brought our family from Europe who were visiting us and they were hungrier than us. Luckily, they were willing to wait. Thankfully, Piacere Mio had an outdoor heater in the front. It was worth the wait:)

Best Italian food in all of San Diego. I don’t think you’ll find better pesto or bolognese in Italy. I wish we lived closer to it.

Absolutely Amazing Evening. The Artichoke Appetizer was refreshing and so delicious. The Chipino was spot on. Our son devoured his veal. My husband loved his pasta. Wonderful dinner to celebrate our Anniversary.

Some of the best pasta I've had in a while. Tried two different pastas and both were great. The service was great, the food came out extremely fast. I went in the early afternoon and the place was mostly empty but the environment was bright and cozy

The beef ravioli with mushroom cream sauce was amazing! I also love the burrata and prosciutto appetizer. The service was excellent as well.
