Reviews Slater's 50/50

Anyone who gives this place less than a 5 star review is either vegan or fishing for free food, which, I mean, can you blame them? It's Slater's, one of the most memorable dining experiences of my lifetime. The patio was fantastic, and allowed my friend's dog to join us for dinner. This place takes bacon to a whole new level. I never would have thought to infuse a pretzel bun with bacon. My meal was divine. The options to customize were plentiful. Great service. Can't wait to be able to afford a trip to SD again.

This is a must stop Everytime I'm in San Diego. The burger's are the best on the west coast by far. Their 50/50 burger is half ground beef and half ground bacon. Also have to get their bacon ketchup.

Sad that there are a few that have rated this place low. Newsflash, whenever you have a place as popular as Slater’s you can’t always get service at every beckoning call, and this isn’t fast food. Everything I had personally was fantastic! The siracha burger was one of the best burgers I have had, ever! Period. Don’t get me started on those awesome shakes!

The burgers we ordered were really good. We had the Bison & Bacon and the 50/50. The fries could be a little more crispy. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely come back for more.

Great spot, right next to the airport with the soundtrack of places playing the entire time. While inside, it was harder to hear. Our server was super nice and friendly, the special burger of the month was awesome (wagyu burger with billionaires bacon, nom). Burgers are all more expensive than expected, but they try their hardest to live up to the cost. A unique dining experience for sure.

Great place to watch Sunday football! We sat at the bar. The menu is filled with hearty selections that pair well with your choice of drinks. Service is on point, easy and fun vibe!

This place was a dream come true while visiting San Diego. Everything we tried was a 10/10! Wings were super flavorful and not overly salty like some buffalo sauces can be. Fried Mac and cheese balls were perfectly seasoned and fried. My absolute favorite was the vampire dip. Garlic and melty cheese, what’s not to love! Our server, who’s name I couldn’t even repeat let alone spell, was delightful. Always checking in with us and making sure our dining experience was amazing. Shes the best!

Came on a weekday for lunch and the place wasn't very busy. I could tell they were short staffed for the lunch crew. We ordered the Mac daddy burger and the March special Fried fish burger. Man oh man the fried fish burger was incredible. I eat out every week and I love burgers. This fish burger is by far one of the best burgers I have ever had in a long time. I felt they were stingy in the portion of sweet potato fries and onion rings considering we paid extra to upgrade them. $27 per person for the burger and side upgrade without tip. Definitely pricey but I commend them on their unique and tasty burgers.

Some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had were at Slaters’s. The PB&J burger is amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich.

Choices, choices and more choices!!!! When it comes to the craft beer choices are a good thing. When it comes to the burgers......well that's where the problem lies. In-n-Out has succeeded because their menu is simple. Slaters burger menu is a little too much. We had the "Damn Good Cheeseburger " and that's exactly what it was. I don't think this joint would fail if they took a couple burgers that were taken off the menu. Peanut Butter Jelly burger.....really? Anyway, other than that, this place is legit.

I should start by saying my son Started this restaurant chain , until he sold it. Haven't been back in a while. So now the review. Vampire dip was great same as before thou a smaller bread bowl Hamburgers were good also smaller buns Service however was excellent. We had Maria in the Point Loma location and she was spot on.Very unobtrusive and took care of all our needs. I use to help my son and be a mystery shopper and I would definitely let the manager of this restaurant know about her.

Stopped by for lunch around noon and had no issue getting a table. They had both the brunch and lunch menu. I ordered the chilaquiles off the brunch menu while others ordered a burger. We also ordered tater tots to share. I thought the chilaquiles were good and filling. Burger seemed small but tasty. Really liked the homemade bacon ketchup with the fries. Service was friendly and prompt.

Great service, good food! There was wait time approx 30min or so, we were group of 7 and came on Saturday later in the afternoon-it looked pretty busy. Our waiter/kitchen messed up our order couple of times but waitress acknowledged mistakes and apologized, and brought replacements pretty fast. Overall great experience and food was really good (except fries, could tell they were not very fresh). Great size of portions as well. Love good selection of burgers and their adult milkshakes with a little kick of Baileys! Definitely recommend!

Needed to grab dinner & beer when my event was canceled. Zay took care of me & made sure my fries were EXTRA crispy!😋 Customized the Bison & Bacon Burger -- swapped Swiss Cheese for Smoked Gouda Cheese & Honey Wheat Bun for Brioche... EXCELLENT!!! There was Trivia Night going on while I was there, but it was difficult to hear. Looks like fun, though, if you get a group of friends together.

The place is comfortable and good sports sighting options, the host is extremely kind, the food is average and takes a while, at least in our case we have to wait about 20 mins, the cocktails are very good. If you don't like rare meat, specify your cooking style desire. The best burguer in my opinion is the Slater's Smash burguer combo, good dip options.

the “frickles” were AMAZING! so crispy and a great size, we had ours with ranch. the bread bowl with the dip was shallow, it definitely could’ve been filled with more dip…but was delish. the cucumber dreams drink was refreshing and i would have it again! overall a good place to share some apps, have a drink and share a burger!

Decided to go on a date night with my girlfriend, took the cocktail making class along with dinner, 10/10! So funny, everyone is extremely friendly. Our server Maria was fantastic and very understanding of my food restrictions and adjusted things for me, which I greatly appreciate! Our bartender Kohl was great and very thorough, on top of giving us helpful hints along the way! The turkey burger was delicious, we had a great time. Would definitely recommend!!! Thank you guys again!
