The Local Eatery And Drinking Hole - San Diego - Photo album

We walked over to The Local after a recent event at The Civic Theater. We specifically picked them because they were listed as being open longer hours than other establishments in the area and we wanted to eat. Upon walking in we noticed a sign to seat ourselves wherever we liked. We started walking
Twice a year we visit San Diego from Phoenix and always make a point to eat at the Local, the Arizona State restaurant and bar in Southern California. We have watched games here and always enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Attentive staff, wide variety of Cali food and local craft brews! Go Devils!
Awesome menu, huge beer selection and plenty of space during the madness of SDCC. Definitely keep this place in mind if you want delicious food and to get off your feet. Server was on point and took great care of our party of 8. I'll be back next year. The pretzel balls and cheese and fried cheese b
We stopped in here to grab a couple of beers one afternoon. The spot itself was very well decorated. Beer wise, they have a broad assortment to choose from. We didn't eat there, but the menu looked great. This is a great place to check out if you're in this part of San Diego.
Good food. Great service. I love that the waiters were dressed up and had a special drink menu for Comic Con. Beware .... The portions are large. The Breakfast Big Wet Burrito could be 3 separate meals. Be prepared to take some home or bring a very big appetite.
I’ve came here for a Packers bar and found early Christmas. Packers, ASU and Porters within walking distance! It’s like someone made a bar just for me. Service was quick and amazing. Food pressed the right buttons and the beer selection showed me the world. You’ll probably make new friends like I d
Maddie from Philly was an All Star. Awesome beer and cocktail selection. DJ Alo was pretty rad. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
They were pretty busy so we grabbed some beer to-go. It seemed like a fun watering hole! Service was quick! Beer was tasty! Looking forward to the full experience the next time we're in town!
After spending 5 and a 1/2 hours walking around the San Diego Zoo working up an appetite, I googled what was open after 9:30pm for dinner and this place came up. I was so impressed with the service and the food was spot on!! I highly recommend this place if you’re hungry for a mouth watering, Steak
This is my favorite happy hour bar downtown. Di, Chiante and Nick make me feel very welcome. They are nice, attentive, friendly and fun (especially Di - she cracks me up). I'm glad I discovered this place. I really feel like a local when I come here.
Excellent modern up beat bar and restaurant. It’s 7:30pm and currently there’s a DJ on staff. My popcorn chicken came out fast and extremely easy to eat while drinking. One bit of advice, I’d recommend taking an Uber here. There’s a large homeless village on the other side of the street. Please feel
Visited this establishment from Canada, I was impressed by the vibe and drinks the food was amazing too !! Also whatever this drink was 🤤
Downtown, this is my go-to happy hour bar, and it has become my favorite. Di, Chiante, and Nick always make me feel incredibly welcome. They are not only nice and attentive but also friendly and fun—especially Di; she never fails to crack me up. I'm grateful to have found this place, and whenever I'
We stopped in before a show on Sunday noon because it was just 2 blocks away. We were pleasantly surprised with the food and beer quality! Pretzel balls and basket of tots were great finger food to munch on with a beer. We ordered food from the brunch and regular menu. The food were huge portio
Food and service was definitely above and beyond for the price. The only reason I gave them 4/5 stars in atmosphere is because of all the obnoxious Green Bay fans there. It's a Green Bay bar in downtown SD... smh. Oh well, management is doing everything else right. I recommend this place.
Sports bar w passable food. It's a packers bar on Sundays. My team's game was on one TV. Foid was good, great attentive service. Great place to take in a game. Odd, to me, dogs were allowed inside the bar during the whole game, not service dogs. Yuk.
We absolutely LOVED this place. We are visiting from Michigan and my husband loves craft beer. So we found this small piece of heaven! Victoria was our server she’s absolutely delightful! She knows her beers which is very impressive. The lobster taco and Vietnamese salad bowls are great! I’d come
Found this place by mistake but it was the best mistake I have ever made. Really great food, relaxed up-beat environment, and drinks are fabulous!👌 👏 Would definitely recommend for locals and tourists.
All the food we ordered was delicious! Lots of great local brews available. We went two nights in a row and had good service both times. The management is pretty abrasive about wanting to turn tables quick, but we know restaurants are doing what they can to stay open these days. A good place to watc
