UNBELIEVEABLE. Went for our anniversary. Met with a special menu with our name. Food was stellar. Wait staff wonderful. Comped a dessert.

Decent . Nothing worth writing home about. I shared the Tuna appetizer which was very tasty. I wish I had ordered this as my entree because this was by far better than my main course which was the Butterfish-which actually was Alaskan Cod but is called Butterfish for how it is prepared. The fish was very light and tender but the flavor left a lot to be desired. Overall, I would probably try somewhere else before returning here.

So flavorful! My husband and I both had the price fixed menu - we both ordered different selections - and nothing that we ate was less than absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere. Wait staff, with the exception of our waitress - she must have been having a crabby day - was very good.

Very good food, very nice atmosphere. I had the prix fixe dinner at $35, and it was excellent food and an excellent value. The wait staff was especially nice, but not intrusive. The melting chocolate souffle is to die for. Everything here was absolutely great; I do not have even a single minor complaint. I ate here on a business trip; I can't wait to take the SO to a Roy's location that is closer to home!

I decided to try the surf & turf, which had a nice filet, and Maine lobster tail served over a poblano mash with asparagus.

On my last night in San Diego for this trip, I wanted to have a nice, relaxing, delicious dinner. And it would be completely inexcusable to not have dinner at one of Roy Yamaguchi's restaurants when it is one of the hotel's restaurants. So, rather than he

I had a great dinner with my family here. This upscale Hawaiian style restaurant does an excellent job with their fish. I had the “Butterfish” which was some of the best fish I had ever had. To begin, it was a really good cut of fish, that was then cooked to a perfect temperature, and the sauce was simple yet absolutely stellar addition. Also on my plate were some veggies and rice. I ate the rice last and used it to soak up the remaining fish sauce. For dessert, we had the chocolate soufflé and the pineapple upside cake. Both were rich with delicious flavors, but the pineapple upside cake achieved a texture so amazing that my words can’t do it justice. The cake had a caramelized pineapple and coconut top that was chewy and delicious. Aside from the food, the service was great. Our waitress, Lauren, was very attentive and friendly. At one point we had ordered an appetizer that took a while to arrive due to a food runner’s error, so she removed it from the bill even though we didn’t complain. I really appreciated the gesture. Overall, it’s a great place— provided your wallet is ready!

Super sweet staff during Comic-Con, it even started raining a tiny bit on the patio and they moved umbrellas over. Wish they would've participated more in the event, but it was chill. Food/drinks were amazing. Our server was awesome. Mango Lychee Margarita was delicious.

One of the best meals we’ve had in our lives! This fusion is mind blowing! The lobster bisque with curry and coconut is to die for. Then the sushi with wagyu beef is phenomenal. When also had the jumbo tiger shrimp and seared scallops… WoW!!!! Perfect! Just amazingly perfect!!!

My family and I dined here on Christmas day and got to experience their Christmas menu. We were greeted by the hostess and were immediately seated (we had made a reservation online). We were seated where half our table could see the lovely view outside. Next time we may ask for the patio, because it looked beautiful out there. I ordered the Szechuan Spiced Pork Ribs for my appetizer. The ribs were insanely good and filling. I ordered the 14oz USDA Prime New York Strip as my entree. The steak was medium rare instead of rare, but other than that it tasted great. The mac n cheese that came with it was just okay. For dessert the whole table ordered the Macadamia Nut Bread Pudding which was very good. My sister ordered the Thai-Style Seafood Bouillabaisse as her entree and it was freaking amazing! I will order that next time we dine here. Our server was Kristen, who was awesome. She checked on us regularly and always made sure we were goodbon drinks. She was really helpful with menu recommendations. We parked in the hotel's parking lot and had our parking ticket validated at the restaurant.

They efficiently accommodated all 10 of my guests without any problems, ensuring we didn't have to be split into two tables. Even when we were initially seated outside and it started raining, they quickly arranged a table for us indoors. The food and drinks were delightful, and the service was excellent. We will certainly be returning to Roy's in the future.

My wife and I were in San Diego for two reasons, a Michael Buble concert and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We have been to Roy’s in various locations and have always enjoyed their Asian cuisine. When we located a Roy’s in San Diego we knew where we would enjoy a great anniversary dinner. This location sits behind the beautiful Marriott Marquis hotel right on San Diego’s waterfront harbor. We were seated at the window row of tables overlooking the harbor and the numerous boat’s moored. We decided on a dinner of appetizers, always a treat at Roy’s. The restaurant atmosphere is quiet and casual. The service is attentive and the items come out of the kitchen fast and hot. For dessert we were treated with the chocolate lava cake accompanied by vanilla ice cream for our anniversary. A sweet surprise! So if you are in San Diego and looking for a great place to dine with a spectacular view, I would highly recommend Roy’s as a restaurant to spend a quiet evening with great food with a view.

We went late on a weekday, around 8:40 pm, and decided to grab a few appetizers and drinks at the bar. This place is fantastic!! The staff was super friendly. They accommodated us and didn’t make us feel rushed at all, even though we were there close to closing. Our bartender walked us through the drinks and menu and gave us some great recommendations. He also let us sample the pineapple used for the famous Pineapple Martini, which is soaked in vodka for two weeks before being used in their drinks! 😍 I would highly recommend the Pineapple 🍍 Martini, I literally could only drink one! All of the food was fabulous, and I would say that the egg rolls were my favorite out of all that we tried. We will be going back for sure!

This was my first time visiting Roy's and will definitely not be my last. The service is unparalleled! Starting with getting a cool glass of water as soon as you sit down and it being refilled constantly without asking. The server was amazing letting us know how long the desert was taking that night in case we wanted to order it, so we would not wait too long after our entree, the busser offered us coffee as well and we gladly ordered it with our desert. The food was incredible definitely worth your penny, every single staff member was very attentive, I would highly recommend this restaurant, we made reservations for 7:30 and it was the perfect time to see the sun set down in the marina. 10/10. 💎💎💎💎💎 The only small downside was that the Marriot parking lot was full (which is not their fault of course) and we ended up parking in the seaport village parking lot, the hostess gladly offered us a validated ticket anyways in case they could honor it, but we ended up shopping at seaport village and getting validation in one of their stores.

They were able to seat all 10 of my guests with no issues, or having to split us up into two tables. Even when we were seated outside, and it started to rain, they already had a table for us inside. The food & drinks were delicious. The service was great. We definitely will visit Roy’s in the future.
