A small well crafted menu. I ordered the grilled wild Salmon, with Spinach mashed potatoes and asparagus. I can't say the spinach added much to the potatoes other than making them green. The fish was cooked to perfection and very tender. With just a hint of lemon. The prices are rather high and the wait time was long but the quality justified the wait. It's difficult to put out this quality of food fast.

Casey was our bartender and made us amazing cocktails. We got the Jaded Lady and a spiderman drink he made for comicon. The duck tacos were to die for. Location was an easy walk from the train station as well.

This is a block or so away from the San Diego Superior Courthouse so if you have jury duty, this may be an option for lunch. I was immediately helped by three helpful, handsome men including a friendly, attentive Brazillian named Luis. I tried the French Onion Soup and coffee. I liked it although I wish they had a choice of another soup. I was so full, I didn't get to try the wings or brussel sprouts this time! I was a fan of the atmosphere but not so much the music. I'd like to try the absinthe some evening. It sounds like fun!

The Benedict had Rave reviews but I just had a mimosa and croissant sandwich, with ham. It was good but nothing special. Good option for brunch though.

I discovered last week that The Beer Co has closed, and with it their amazing happy hour ahi tower. I was looking for an alternative happy hour downtown that went until 7pm and I discovered Currant. The style of the restaurant is very cool. Black and white tile floor, classy design, friendly service. Unfortunately, the coolness factor was a bit diminished by a number of cheesy Halloween decorations strewn about. Tried the Manhattan and happy hour red wine. Both very nice. Also tried baked brie and tacos. Both very decent happy hour choices. Not an excellent deal, but very doable. Loved the atmosphere, will likely be back for drinks and maybe to try that hamburger on happy hour!

I had lunch here during a conference break. It was a little slow for what I needed but would be great for a business lunch since it is quiet and no one is rushing you out the door. Not a wide vegetarian selection but the Tomato Bisque is vegetarian and VERY good. The Grilled cheese isn't anything special but it was also good and the shoestring fries were a bonus. I also ordered the Lavender Lemonade which I was really excited about. Sadly I could not taste the lavender (I love flower flavors). The drink is $4 which wasn't worth it in my book. Outdoor seating is small but a really nice bonus.

What a great location! The bartenders are splendid and the staff are wonderful. Happy hour every day of the week with a great selection and fabulous choices. My only issue is that twice that I went to have drinks with friends there have been some obnoxious drunk men there, my guess is that they wander in from the hotel area, and are served drinks...I understand that the bartenders don't realize how intoxicated they were before serving them, but they are not pleasant to sit next to. Honestly, this wouldn't stop me from going back, but is just the reason I gave them 4 starts instead of 5.

I really enjoy this place! I've only come here a couple times during happy hour before spending the night downtown. Both times, I was impressed. The restaurant is on the bottom floor of the Sofia Hotel, next to Tender Greens. They have a great list of cocktails, and their sliders were great! Will definitely be coming more often in future!

Current has a great Haapy Hour menu. Love their French fries and avocado toast. Hear their wings are good too. Good service. Ambience is good with comfortable seating in the bar. Only ate in bar area.

Went to the restaurant last night and it was really good. Some of the food is what my husband would call "fancy" but I really enjoyed it. Lots of wine to choose from. I had the side mixed greens salad - it was good, not much on it, but the balsamic was delicious. I also had the stuffed chicken with asparagus, arugula, and potatoes. yum!! good service at the bar too!

The three of us all ordered the lamb chops. Yum yum yum! These were the best lamb chops ever! The accompanying vegetables were equally delicious. Of course we ate starters and dessert as well as wine. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was perfect. We will return.

I was doing a some work downtown and stopped by for lunch. I had to go with a burger. Man this was great, juicy and full of flavor. Had to do grill onions. Service was great, my glass was never empty. I sat in the outside table on Broadway. Very nice relaxing environment. I recommend it to all my friends.

This is a great breakfast spot. It is not too busy on a weekday morning and the food is awesome. I come to San Diego every December for a work conference and always eat here with my wife. We both love it so much and come here everytime we are in town.

This is one of those surprise places. Walked by it dozens of times. Had occasion to be downtown and had some time to kill so I decided to stop in and check out their happy hour till 7 everyday. The menu you short but that's usually a good sign that whatever is on there is very good. Their burger is fabulous! I rarely eat burgers but this one is special. If you're looking for the ordinary onion, tomato, mayo, ordinary bun, ketchup and mustard, check out down the street at Jack in the Box. The fries are the thin fresh kind -- and if they're not fresh doesn't even matter because they are delish with thyme seasoning. Only reason I am not giving it a 5 this time is because the mussels, although tasty, were small and few, which mattered less on the happy hour price but totally not worth the price on the regular menu. Also I wasn't fond of the fries being dumped in the middle of the brothy bowl with the few mussels surrounding the fries. I see another review where the remark was how huge they were. So it may just be a seasonal thing. Either way I won't get that again. Atmosphere is very small boutique lobby bar/restaurant. Very cute and comfortable. Can't recall the name of the young lady bartender now but she's a sweetie and took care of me. I will be back.

This is right by our hotel and the reviews looked good. When we went for breakfast, I was shocked. We were the only people there and it was not too early or late. Waiter was nice enough, but I was worried because there wasn't anyone there. Food was good. Not exceptional, but good and prices as you would expect for a Hotel restaurant. We decided we weren't going back for those prices and we'd find somewhere else to go.

I was expecting a larger bill. The food is priced well and very good. They were quick with my order since I was in a rush. I chose Currant Brasserie becuase the lines at "quick-service" restaurants in the area were very long. I would definitely return.

Went for happy hour. The server was swamped and got our order wrong but he was super nice about it. Liked the happy hour selection and prices. Great working professional atmosphere with a good age range. Would definitely go again!
