I go here often. I don't love everything on the menu, but I do have my favorites. The staff is friendly and helpful and the kitchen does their best to accommodate food restrictions. When people visit, this is where we take them. Always. I even had my birthday party here. It's a treat and worth the little bit of extra for the quality.
Amazing food, divine drinking chocolates, & exceptional service. I can't recommend Eclipse Chocolate highly enough. Charming ambience, and a warm and accommodating staff. Also fantastic are the many gluten-free and vegan options available. A must-try in San Diego!
Each meal, dessert, and drink are crafted pieces of art that are too pretty to eat. The stomach disagrees, and enjoys the artful flavor profiles that go into each masterpiece that is Eclipse Chocolate.

This place is gourmet food wrapped up in a posh, home feeling package! You can’t go wrong on anything on the menu. The staff is funny and fabulous!
I am obsessed with this place! Their drinking chocolate is to die for and their avocado Benedict is perfection! I brought my mom here for Mother's Day and she loved it as well. I recommend eclipse to anyone who is visiting San Diego.

This place was an awesome dining experience. The waitress was friendly and attentive and the unique pairings of sweet and savory make this a must! I found a groupon that gave you the choice of dinner or brunch for two including the entree a side dessert and drink for much less than what you would spend otherwise.

It's hard to pinpoint what I liked best. The food was great! The staff was awesome! We bought some chocolates to go and they are amazing. When we make it back to San Diego, we will come again.
We did the build a bar night. Sooo fun. Highly recommend. The staff is great. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was delicious and I wish I could swim in the drinking chocolate. 💞
Wonderful people, food, and experience! Had a birthday party for my 16 year old and a dozen of her friends. So easy, welcoming, and fantastic. Highly recommend Eclipse to everyone.

Excellent meal. Everything we had was delicious. The waiter was very friendly and very attentive.
Holy Charlie and the chocolate factory! Literally made all my childhood food cravings come true. First of all, the ambiance walking in is as if you were at an adult Charlie and the chocolate factory store. Edible sprinkles and glitter everywhere! But also, when they seat you, you are greeted with the kindest servers. We had a gentleman who looks like Ryan Gosling (from the notebook) help us out and was very attentive. I ordered the Bloody Mary, didn’t end up liking it, and they switched it out without a problem. Then the food started coming… and wow. I’m glad most people in my group ordered something different because I was able to taste it all! The Sriracha fried chicken was still the best!!
They have a small outdoor area and a narrow (length) of a variety of items such as hot sauce, bath soap, wine, etc) that fills the front of the store. I came here 4 years ago and the same item that I got is a little different now but it's still delicious!
I think they went a little too heavy handed on the sauce but the food is great and the service is super friendly. The waitress/cashier was amazing!

I have eaten their, carrot cake, their brunch foods (I especially loved their Sriracha fried chicken with their mac & cheese & their delicious salads), and also their sweet treats such as their drinkable chocolates! So good! Definitely bummed that they’re closing permanently but I’m happy I got to enjoy their incredibly delicious foods. The photo posted is their special ruby hot chocolate as a choffogato (meaning they add soft serve ice cream)!!!
Guess what!! I've been living in San Diego for 20 yrs and I just found this cute little Jewel in North Park, (which would be South Park. I think) anyhow, this cute little Jewel is called Eclipse Chocolate, and OMG! ..they have CHOCOLATE!! And a brunch menu!! The Cookie, the sprinkle mix vial, and the heart molds is why I bought. Its not every day you find a restaurant that crafts its dishes so well. All of the flavors were so well done, melding together wonderful youve never had together before, that you never though youd have together. White chocolate and garlic? Somehow amazing. The eggs Benedict; amazing. The chocolate; amazing. I highly recommend, it will not disappoint. Also. Friendly service.
Used a Groupon deal to try this place out as we are never in this area. The dinner was so much food (2 mains, 2 sides, 2 desserts, 2 drinks-alcohol included)! Everything was delicious, service was great. We were so stuffed that we could only eat one of the desserts and they allowed us to take the other one to go. Our reservation was for 7pm, we had some trouble finding street parking, there is no lot. The restaurant is casual and was empty when we arrived but after about an hour, it picked up and had a steady stream of people. Would definitely recommend and will try the brunch sometime!
I had my birthday brunch here and it was really enjoyable. I loved how everything on the menu had a touch of chocolate, vanilla, or caramel. It's really unique because those flavors added depth to the dishes, not just sweetness, which was a pleasant surprise. We started with the Beet and Green Apple Salad and Cheese Platter, then followed with entrees and Drinking Chocolate (the chai is my favorite). The staff, especially Mikey, was welcoming and friendly throughout our time there. And the interior is clean and inviting. Parking can be tricky, but there's parking available on the main street, cross streets, and residential area.
Delicious chocolate and brunch food. A bit pricey but the portions were big and beautifully plated. The staff are friendly and helpful. They seem to put edible glitter on almost everything, so be aware your drinks and food will be sparkly.
If I could leave a higher review I would! The very best pancakes I ever had in my life (chili spice pecans and banana pancakes with a orange infused cream sauce and some fresh berries), wonderful service, and so many things I wanted to buy I had to be careful not to max out my credit card! I will absolutely be back and I sincerely hope they open a location in Palm Springs soon!
I can't rave about this place enough! I've visited multiple times now and each trip has been nothing short of wonderful. The food is inventive and so incredible. It's like an adventure for your tastebuds. The chocolates are delectable and something I cherish. They have a passion for food that really shows through in every dish.
But if the food isn't enough to get you in, the warm and friendly staff should be. They are welcoming and hardworking and REAL. They take care of you like a doting grandma but converse like a friend.
This is my favorite place in all of San Diego and if you don't visit for dinner, brunch, or one of their creative social nights, you've missed out on one of the best things about this town.
