Excellent authentic South American food! Update: Removed one star due to decreased portion size. The taste is still excellent and authentic. There is outdoor seating, so take out is not the only option during the Covid-19 restrictions. Be aware that if ordering anything with a sauce to go, such as the paella, it will soak through the biodegradable container in less than 15 minutes. We were very fortunate that the container was placed in a plastic bag.

Came here for some Real Food after exploring the more touristy side of Old Town and suffice to say this place is a gem! Fricasse del pollo SO, SO GOOD!! really had me wishing I had another stomach just so I could KEEP EATING. The portion size is pretty big as you can see from the photos! Comes with salad and rice which both create a nice balance. Chicken is perfectly cooked and juicy and is great for absorbing the sauce. Papas Choriadas The sauce was amazing and unique, almost kind of cheesy but with a medley of other flavors. Served fresh and HOT The potatoes were crunchy outside despite being bathed in the sauce, and perfectly cooked and soft inside. 10/10 would recommend to share with the whole table as a starter 🥰 You get fresh tortilla and tomatilla sauce (super fresh!) The tortillas - chefs kiss - so warm with the oerfect balance of crispiness and softness. I could eat these all day. Alvaro is also super sweet and funny! He made us feel very welcome and really played a part in the homey atmosphere :D

Mrs Berta is this sweetheart Chilean lady that welcome you to a space that resemble probably going to her home, so cozy and intimate. But not only that, The food is what reminds me home and is so many delicious Latin American specialties that you will feel and taste what I mean to say. Well Mrs Berta actually will more than likely be at the kitchen preparing all these yummy homemade delicious food. Not only her Brazilian Vatapá is amazing, but also the Colombian plate with meat, fried eggs, rice, beans. Is truly food made with love. I adore her flan and all atmosphere. The Colombian arepas and the Puerto Rico tostones are incredible.

There is a lot of variety to choose from when ordering. The service was quick, and most of the food is consistently good. I think the homemade sauces are the best part of the restaurant, also can't go wrong with the fish of the day. It's a little pricy.

Such great food! Amazing flavor in all the dishes, they are very spot on, perfect seasoning and sufficient food. Only thing would be that the had no music and the atmosphere and was kinda meh! But for the food it’s so worth it!

a small, homey restaurant that made me feel like I'm back at my Ecuadorian host family's place. ive had better latin cuisine elsewhere, but decent food overall. staff was friendly enough to reach out to our colleague who left his wallet at the place.

This was the best food in Old Town we've had, hands down! My Honduran seafood soup was INCREDIBLE. And my husband's Columbian Bandera paiza with Spanish chorizo was to die for. Absolutely coming back!

Hole in the wall place in Old Town San Diego. Latin cuisine but their best dishes are Chilean. I had the Chilean Pastel de Choclo. This was done nicely and was not too spicy either. Their margarita was awesome with a generous pour of tequila.
