If you're hungry for a figurative slice of beach-life-locals along with a slice of pizza that you can brag about, then my friend, let me introduce to Luigi's. The norm is to order pizza slices because the slices are HUGE. You'll also find that they didn't sacrifice quality for quantity. The food tastes great. The toppings menu has many fine choices. And the atmosphere is a very beachy one.

Great pizza!!! As an East Coaster, it gave me full New York pizza feels & energy! I enjoyed our server who was very attentive, friendly and efficient. That slice was enormous!!! It redeemed my food experience for my week here in San Diego. Worth every bit of the price. #foodie
Family and I stayed nearby and had to stop in for their famous huge slice. The cheese options are great as well as the variety of toppings to go along with the different cheeses available. Seating outside is a bit limited but overall we got seated quickly and the pizza slices came out quickly. If you're ever in the San Diego area and looking for some good pizza, this is the place to go to. We'll always end up stopping by when we're there.
Update: seating outside wasn't as limited as before and we were sat quickly. Pizzas came out quickly. Only downside was that the pizza was cold. I went with pepperoni and mushrooms and the mushrooms were pretty much raw, just slightly warm and the cheese just tasted off.
Came here by myself while I was killing time before heading to the airport and my server was so nice! They do ask for you to sit at a table for your party size so I sat a two seater table which was fine. Lots of families eating pizza and guys watching football (it was a Sunday). Refills came before I had to ask and the one pizza slice I ordered was HUGE and definitely kept me full for the afternoon.
Best pizza and pasta in SD!! If I could give 100 stars I would. Service is great too. People are really happy here.
Luigi's is always great. Happy staff, great food, and always want everyone to be happy. A staffer brought us water and dog treats for our 2 dogs on the patio. Calzones are HUGE and so are their slices. Yummy!!
Delicious ant pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended. Three of us were together and we all love different pizzas. We ordered 3 giant slices of pizza - pepperoni was added to one, gorgonzola to the second, and the third was just cheese. All three slices were very tasty. But really huge, we barely ate them. I could take one slice for two with my son and it would be enough for us. They cooked quickly despite the fact that it was evening and the restaurant was crowded.
Delicious pizza, lasagna, cheese ravioli and fettuccine! The server was excellent, she really took care of us.
We sat on the outdoor patio and got to "people watch" folks in Halloween costumes under the full moon!
My partner and I came here earlier today looking for somewhere near the beach to have a few cocktails. Matt was so friendly and the drinks of course were delicious (we had the Red headed Luigi, the mexican lollipop, and nacho libre) . He was very easygoing and attentive to us at the bar. Thank you so much and we will definitely come back.
The first spot we hit to start our vacation on mission beach. Food was fantastic 😋 pizza slice as big as your head !!!
This is my go to spot for the last 15 years. Fun fact, fries are awesome. Past labor day the specials make it reasonable. All pizzas are great and solid beer selection
Perfect place to go during the day, family friendly and a perfect vibe. We had the veggie pizza and it was so delicious 😋. Definitely go check it out. They have deals for certain days, Friday and Saturday are regular prices for items, but the amount you get and the great tasting food is worth every penny.
One of the best pizza places in the area. Great selection of Vegetarian options. Must try the bruschetta. Absolutely loved the service and the ambiance of the place
