Here from Italy
Amazing. I have missed tacos and salsa so much lol, the guac was a little tasteless but the salsa was perfect! Our server James was super sweet and very attentive. FIVE STARS TO JAMES
Always Fun!. From morning to late night, this is a great place to have a fun time. The staff is terrific (Lauren especially) & the food is great. Atmosphere is appropriate to the location. Stop in for Breakfast if you want to start your day right. Fish Taco are a favorite during the day.
Can't go wrong with great burgers, beers and great service.
Best bloody Mary I've had in awhile!! Great service!! Great food! Definitely gonna become a regular!
A Breakfast Favorite.... They make the best Bloody Mary! This is a place I visit each time I make it to San Diego. Appears to be a locals favorite and I can see why. Food is good, great menu options, price is right; servers are fast, friendly and darn cute.
Yes, this was the first time we had gone there. We had heard about this place, but hadn’t tried it yet. It was established in 1933. He has a ton of history along with pictures.
This place got very crowded, and was incredibly popular as the evening went on. The bartenders were very friendly and patient with everybody.
If you’re looking for a place to grab a drink, that has fun, atmosphere, good music, good health, then hit up the waterfront.
Great dive bar! Super friendly staff! We had the mini nachos for a snack. They were great with very good salsa. They made fresh popped popcorn with a touch of Tabasco before we left and it hit the spot!
Great jukebox music! Y'all, this is a must stop for a drink if you're in the area!
As the sign says the oldest establishment in San Diego and having now gone there twice already I can see why/how it has survived. The staff is absolutely outstanding and I was first served by Taylor while seated along the bar. I watched as she consistently introduced herself and ask the patrons what their names were and then go about calling them by name for the remainder of the evening. You just do see this stuff everyday and it completed the atmosphere.
Yes. It's rather ironic that the name is the Waterfront when that is exactly what it is not. I do suspect that long ago, prior to massive development you must have been able to see the bay from the establishment but those days, unfortunately are long ago.
I plan on making this a regular stopping place whenever I am in town and suspect I will continue to be pleased and welcomed.
The bar is a small intimate space but with really great bartenders, music, and awesome food! If you’re someone that doesn’t like being back to back with others then it might not be a place you’d enjoy being in. Parking is tough because it’s in little Italy, so Uber or Lyft might be better. Other than that it’s a great place to have a good time with friends. And Taylor the bartender is really great! :)
Fantastic time at Waterfront Bar! Drinks, especially the Pink Starburst shot and Long Island cocktail, were excellent.
Hailey, our bartender, was incredibly sweet, friendly, and even shared great San Diego recommendations. Highly recommend this spot and a special thanks to Hailey for making our night memorable!
Best kept secret in downtown San Diego!! Great drinks, amazing food, and over the top service. From the time you walk in you’re greeted with smile and asked for your name. The bartenders actually care always have a full drink, will carry a conversation, and will call you by name. The food.. it is bar food and it has been perfected. I recommend the sliders or the chipotle chicken sandwich, they are my go to. Overall a great vibe and never had a bad time there!!!
Stopped at Waterfront Grill when in town for a little breakfast (and drinks!) Staff was extremely friendly. Our party each got food and drinks. The hot sauce was a little heavy handed on the Bloody Mary but other than it was great! Breakfast burrito was delicious, Huevos Rancheors were delicious, chorizo plate was good (but it should come with tortillas!). would come again!
🍔🍻Get ready for a wild time at Waterfront Bar & Grill in sunny San Diego! 🌞🍻
This dive bar embraces its charm with pride. From the laid-back atmosphere to the tasty burgers and crispy fries, it's a no-frills spot to let loose and make memories. The friendly service and waterfront view from the outdoor patio are the icing on the cake. So grab a cold one, soak up the San Diego sunshine, and enjoy the dive bar experience at its finest. Cheers! 🌴🍻🌟
You would never think a bar has amazing food but this place does. The breakfast burrito is a home run, the Pazole or Pozole is awesome. If you are in San Diego you must stop by, grab a drink and enjoy some food.
A great local bar & the oldest bar in San Diego. Opening it's doors immediately after the repeal of prohibition. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and was delighted with the medium rare 1/3lb patty and gently toasted bun. Truly one of the best burgers in California .
The staff was friendly and remembered every drink order at the bar with very prompt service.
10/10 would recommend as a casual dinner spot, or as a great place to grab an after work/conference beverage!!
