The bar opens at 4 pm, an hour before the restaurant, so it’s kinda nice to be able to enjoy some good grub a little earlier in the day. They had several drink and food specials and if you absolutely have to have a steak they did have a steak, shrimp and glass of wine special that we shared ($30).
Delicious cuisine!. Great steak, service, and side dishes. Definitely worth the money!
Juicy Steak. The steak there was soooooooooo good. :-)
This is the most amazing place to go to. My mom and I split a lobster tail and an 11 oz. Filet it was AMAZING! I would defenetally recommend it to any steak lover.
Predictable--in a good way. This is a very appealing steak house, Ambiance, service, and food are all perfection. My two visits to the Ruth's Chris Steak House on the water in San Diego were flawless experiences, much like my experiences with Ruth's in other cities.
Excellent. 99% of the time the steaks are perfect. This is a place I definitely recommend.
Both the fillet and NY strip have been perfect numerous times. The steak fries (potato wedges) are the best side item. The wedges are perfectly crisp on the outside, but soft billowy baked-potato on the inside.
Two bad experiences, but service was still great. The bison steak was an interesting experience, and rather gamey. I do not recommend that. The second, a bad fillet, a tough cow I guess.
Good place, but pricey.
Expensive, but well worth it!. This is not a place you eat at often if you don't love spending hundreds on one meal. However, for special events, it's worth a try! I ate here with quite a few people and tried a handful of appetizers, entrees and many desserts. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. Amazing service, but again... you're paying for it. I here lunchtime is a better option, because the food is the same, but the prices are lower.
Delicious. Best steakhouse in town. Fish is also exquisite, especially the Chilean sea bass or halibut. Ruth chopped salad recommended as a starter. Sweet potato casserole is my favorite side dish. Pricey but worth every penny.
It was such a lovely experience. We went for my wife's birthday and Patrick was our server. He was very knowledgeable and kind, would definitely recommend him as your server! The food was perfect as well! We got the crab stuffed mushrooms (not pictured) and they were an incredible way to start the meal. Steak was cooked perfectly and sliced like butter. By far, best steak I've ever eaten. I wouldn't change a thing about our experience here. 10/10
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse provided an unforgettable experience for our anniversary dinner. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion – romantic and elegant. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, making excellent recommendations from both the menu and the wine list. The steaks were cooked to perfection, each bite better than the last, and the sides were equally impressive. The highlight of the evening was the surprise dessert, a delightful touch by the staff to celebrate our special day. We left feeling truly pampered and look forward to our next visit. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse made our anniversary not just memorable but extraordinary.
We went there for the happy hour it was a great spot had a really good view and Anthony was very good to us. I would definitely recommend the hamburger and fries and the wedge salad it was awesome. I suggest getting there early because it gets very crowded very quickly. They had some really good wines here too but I did not get a chance to try them.
The 40oz porterhouse for two and side dishes were all great and cooked properly. We chose creamini mushroom and spinach and it’s not too heavy. We had the best spot in the restaurant and was seated in the middle by the window and had a great view. The wine was smooth and the desert was so rich and for next time we’ll just probably pick one. But since my husband is celebrating his birthday we were given a complimentary desert of our choice.
Rich was our waiter and Service was great. Checks on us without even asking anything, maitre’d even came by on our table to check if everything is okay to our liking. A nice place if you want to spoil each other, great for date night, anniversary or any occasion. Price was pricey but you get what you pay for.
Definitely looking forward to coming again. An upscale restaurant,
Business classy casual attire is preferred. We love it.
Typical great food and service. Patrick was our server and was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We started with the Calamari appetizer which was cooked to perfection. Our entrees were a Filet and Cowboy Ribeye. The filet was perfect but the ribeye was slightly overcooked but still great. We shared the mashed potatoes (with extra butter!) and ended the meal with the Creme Brulee which was good, but slightly grainy.
Took my wife to Ruth Chris for her Birthday
A first for the two of us. Our service experience was beyond our expectations, Richard our server was very professional and answered all of our questions regarding the menu. The calamari was very good, the tentacles were very good. Isn’t with Ruth’s favorite bone in New York…. Wow. The sizzling hot plate is the way to go!!
The filet was cooked to perfection, garlic mashed and creamed spinach were both great side dishes.
The cream brûlée was spot on, will be ordering 2 for myself next time!
Great service, can’t wait to visit again soon.
Let me say we really enjoyed our dinner and our server Rich was excellent and worked extremely hard to keep everything moving right along and take care of us. Now starting when we arrived, we noticed the reservation desk turned away a couple that came in without reservations. I later thought that was strange because they had plenty of empty tables available while we were there. I didn't hear them offer to seat them in the bar either. Our shrimp cocktail was great and the salads were the best. When they brought out our steak they placed it in front of us and said enjoy and walked away. No side dishes were brought out so we started eating the steak while it was still hot. We ordered it cooked medium and it was a little over cooked but no complaints on the meat. We finally got all the side dishes delivered to the table, some of which were not very hot. We were half way through our steak by then. The side dishes, garlic mashed, baked potato, spinach, etc. were very good. We all got Creme Brulee for desert. It was excellent but we noticed it is now being served in a smaller dish - which was okay with all of us. We definitely noticed that the staff at Ruths Chris on the floor was not the same as before. Usually they have people running around refilling your glasses and picking up dishes and silverware when you are finished with those items. Our waiter actually had to help refill the glasses and take dishes off the table. No one ever came by to scrape the crumbs off the table like they use to do. Service was really a noticeable difference from all the other times we have been to Ruths Chris. Maybe they just can't find the people to help them right now due to the economy, etc. Prices are about the same or slightly higher than our previous visit. Again, our server Rich was the best and really made the meal quite pleasant. Of course, we are coming back in a month or two.
The food was simply …. Divine. I did wait a bit for my table but the food quality and service made up for it. Anthony was my server for the night which whom showed incredible kindness and professionalism. I am from out of town but I’ll make sure to make this place a go to for my next trip here.
Came here recently for a birthday. It was pretty good. Good no frills steak house. Kind of an isolated location. Took about 5 minutes before the hostess got to the front to greet us. Food was good, I ordered a medium steak but am usually fine with medium rare but parts of my steak were blue rare. I wish there was an easier way to walk from the parking lot to the restaurant instead of having to walk around the curb.
I've been to many steak houses iny life.
Most have mediocre ribeye.
Ruth's Chris has the most consistently great ribeye in my experience.
Everything is excellent too.
BUT! If you feel that other steakhouses have underwhelming ribeyes, then this is the place.
