Lionfish - San Diego - Photo album

Sushi meets Mediterranean meets San Diego! This place is so delicious! I love how expansive the menu is yet so creative. We tried the pasta gnocchi, sushi rolls, and they did not disappoint. The interior of the restaurant was also super cute and felt upscale. I will definitely be back.
First time in this restaurant, we went without a reservation but I definitely recommend to make one. Food took long time to arrive but it was worthy the wait, Also is understandable since it was Friday dinner time and the place was packed. Overall service was pretty nice and place and atmosphere ve
This is definitely a date night spot, and it's a great location. The ambiance was giving chill/moody. Like you don't have to put on your Sundays best, but also, if you did, it wouldn't be doing too much. It was quiet and romantic, nice for conversations šŸ˜Œ. The service was top tier, and our waitress
Atmosphere and service was great but the food and drink was not worth the price. To rephrase that, appetizers were ok, but some of the main dish were not appropriately priced. Don't get me wrong, I spend alot of money on fine dining, but the food here was just ok. Duck tostada was salty...and the ro
Visited on a Friday night with a small group of friends. The food was consistently good, and dessert portions were notably generous. Cocktails added to the positive experience. Overall, a solid choice. However, the service left room for improvement. Spending over $100 per person on food, we expected
Yet another gem in San Diego! Great atmosphere, delicious food. We were graciously welcomed with a glass of bubbly. Service was friendly and offered some excellent suggestions. A beautiful marriage between sushi and surf and turf. I wish we lived closer, there were so many other dishes I would have
We visited San Diego and were staying in the Gas Lamp district. With this being a short 5-minute walk from our hotel, we gave it a try! The ambiance and food/drinks were amazing. The service was slightly slow but still had a great experience overall.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. The food is fresh, flavorful, and seasoned well !! The service is great too. The Spaghetti Lobster has a chokehold on me !!
Went here on a Friday night with a small group of friends. The food was solid good and the dessert portions were quite large. Cocktails were tasty. All in all solid good. The service was OK. Not bad, but when spending over $100/person on food, we expect a little more attentiveness, especially when t
Hip and trendy sushi and seafood spot in the Gaslamp District. Slightly overpriced for what it is, but the food was good and unique. Definitely worth a visit after one of the Petco stadium games. There are a handful of non seafood and vegetarian options here.
Nice location that serves fine dining, but allows you to be casually dressed as well. Food was good, but the price point was slightly higher for the proportions of some of the items. The crab app was tasty but overpriced for the quantity.
Note: They have a great happy hour. However, always a good pick for wine and dinner with great ambiance for conversation. Reservations on weekends and holidays a must but if you start earlier, a seat at the bar is great. A few glasses of Daou here and Iā€™m always a happy girl.
We celebrated our anniversary there. I purposely made a reservation months ago and asked for a bog table/booth. We got a tiny instead and when we asked if we can get a bigger table they just said NO, not trying to accommodate us at all. Anyway, food was pretty good. We had the beef tartare which un
Great date night at Lionfish. Popular, busy and loud place. Sort of a fusion sushi-modern cuisine approach, everything we tried was really good. Great bartender for a pre-dinner cocktail. Good service, entire wait staff was well trained and attentive. Good saki list, good wine list, great food. Will
My uncle and cousin brought us at this beautiful spot back in November. It was a great choice. The decor, ambiance, flavorful food paired with great spirits made it a Perfect evening. Our server was so attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. We will definitely be back and highly RECOMMENDED šŸ‘šŸ‘
In town for a conference at the convention center. I was staying in the Gasmlamp district. We wanted a restaurant with seafood and sushi. Beautiful, spacious, contemporary dining room. Very helpful and friendly service. We had a few salads to start, salmon entree, lobster pasta entree and gnocc
Spicy Octopus was out of this world 10/10. Broiled salmon was just okay 6/10. The 18 layer cake was good and not overly sweet....stout was good while hazy IPA was delicious.
