Yesterday was our first time there. We really enjoyed it. The sandwich was very tasty, which was a bonus. Relaxing with the cats was such a nice experience. The young man was interactive and kind. I was impressed with the facility as well as the cats. They appear very well taken care of. We own cats ourselves despite me being allergic to them. I was impressed that despite being in a room with numerous cats, I never sneezed or ended up with watery eyes. This tells me they do a good job taking care of the cats and the facility.

Nice place to grab a drink and visit with some furry friends. Staff is helpful, informative, and friendly... the cookies the get from La Jolla are AWESOME! lol The cats are sweet, entertaining, and fun to be around. They each have stories and the gentleman there was kind enough to share stories of cats who are there.

Great place to have a cup of coffee and spend some time with the cats. It can get busy, so I would recommend reservations during peak times. Love this cafe and will be back again.

This place is adorable! You buy a coffee or snack and then enter the cat room on the half hour. There is relaxing music, hushed tones, and adorable kitties! I can't wait to come back!

After my 15 year old daughter told me about this place, I naturally had to come by and check it out. Since she was at school, I took my aunt with me. From the time we ordered our beverages, we were greeted by the friendly staff. After going over some simple rules designed to protect the cats from being scared or stressed out, as well as protect us, we were able to go into the dining area. Upon entering we could see that this wasn’t your average coffee shop. Everywhere we looked we saw cat toys, climbing posts and everything else designed to enrich the cats lives. While we drank our ice coffee and frappe, we were able to pet several of the cats. Some of the others were sleeping, but we were still able to observe them. All the cats that we petted were very loving. The best thing about this whole experience is that every cat there is up for adoption. If you’re looking for a place to find a great cat to adopt, then this is the place to go. I will definitely be going back.

This is a great place to get your "cat fix" when on the road. For $8 you get a coffee or tea beverage of your choice and get to play with cute, playful kitties. Cats are clean, spayed, neutered and chipped, and obviously well taken care of. I wish I could take a bunch home! I'll be back next time I'm in San Diego.

Awesome friendly cafe. Drink or food with admission. I would go for the drink since there are food motivated cats. Good amount of space and cats are friendly. I had Jacey in my lap for a while and Winnie was very playful. Love playing with some cats and made me miss my own kitties. Follow the rules and respect the cats but you can at least be able to pet one or more cats. I went in the morning and had a great time. Will love to go again with my husband.

Coffee was delicious, environment was clean, calm, and peaceful. Barista was friendly but the person working in the cat room made me feel stupid for asking reasonable questions🤦‍♀️😅 I overrall would still recommend here and id come again. The cats were well kept and seem very happy here! They’re all up for adoption, and we were welcomed to take photos with the cats as long as there was no flash photography. ❤️🐾🐈‍⬛☕️love love love !

Yes you need a reservation. You can get online or in store if it's not too busy. You get a free menu item with the reservation purchase. Best $20 I've ever spent. Got me a coffee and an hour with the cats. As someone who misses her kitty while traveling this was purr-fect. Super kind staff, cute kitties, and delicious coffee!

I’ve been to the cat cafe twice now and I adore my time there. The staff are amazing and you can tell how much they love the cats. If you’re downtown, I highly recommend booking an hour. Besides raising your endorphins and petting cats, it helps find the program.

We came to the cat cafe to enjoy some petting some cats and we were not disappointed! All the kitties were very friendly and playful, and the hour reservation was plenty time to sit down and pet the cats. I would absolutely recommend if you love animals!

My kid likes cats so we’ve brought her here a few times for special days. The cat room attendant is nice and will answer questions about the cats. The gentleman at the cafe is very nice and will help kids find a non-coffee drink they might like. Our drinks (iced chai and vanilla frappé) were good. The cats were a mix of lounging and playing. There’s an assortment of cat toys around the room to use. The cat room is quiet (for the cats), clean and comfortable with a/c and air purifier. Will definitely keep visiting. Pay for parking lot 2 streets over, or metered street parking all around the neighborhood.

Had a lovely break at the cat cafe this morning! I got an iced chai latte, which was delicious. I really appreciated the employee who stayed in the room to supervise and make sure the cats were comfortable and the people were too. The love and dedication they have for these cats is obvious, and it's so nice to get to interact with them in a relaxing atmosphere, especially if you're looking to adopt. You really get a feel for their personalities and how you'll get along. If you're looking for a cat, I can't recommend getting to go in and interact with them enough. If you just want to hang out with cats and enjoy their company for a bit, this is also the place to do it! Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in San Diego.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting our very own San Diego Cat Cafe, and I can confidently say that it was a truly exceptional experience for our family (kids and grandparents). This place exceeded our expectations in every possible way, earning my heartfelt 5-star rating. From the moment we walked through the door, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and an obvious love for the feline friends who call this place home. The cafe itself was cozy and well-designed, offering plenty of comfortable seating areas where we could relax and enjoy the company of the resident cats. Speaking of the cats, they are the true stars of the show at the Cat Cafe. The selection of cats available for adoption is diverse and well cared for. Each furry companion we encountered was friendly, well-socialized, and clearly enjoying their time in this loving environment. It was heartwarming to see how dedicated the staff was to ensuring the well-being and happiness of these cats. The interactions with the cats were a highlight of our visit. Whether playing with a feisty kitten or cuddling up with a laid-back adult cat, every moment spent with these adorable creatures brought us joy. The staff members were always on hand to provide insights into each cat's personality and history, making it even more rewarding to connect with them on a personal level. The Cat Cafe also offers a delightful selection of food and beverages. The menu features a range of tasty treats and drinks to satisfy every craving. The kids particularly enjoyed their cat-themed pastries, which were not only delicious but also added an extra touch of whimsy to the whole experience. In addition to the incredible cat interactions and delectable refreshments, the Cat Cafe is committed to its mission of promoting animal welfare. The adoption process is well-organized, and the staff takes great care to match cats with suitable forever homes. It's truly heartening to see the positive impact this establishment has on the lives of these precious animals. In conclusion, the Cat Cafe in San Diego is an absolute gem for cat lovers. The atmosphere is welcoming, the cats are delightful, and the staff is passionate about what they do. It's a place where you can unwind, enjoy fantastic company, and perhaps even find your purr-fect companion. Without a doubt, this establishment deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. I can't wait to visit again and bask in the joy that this charming haven brings. Visited: May 2023 7 adults and 2 children.
