Just a delicious homemade Greek meal ToGo that is worthy of return visits. This was my first visit and I’m coming back for sure. I asked for the Pegasus Combination that includes generous portions of gyros, chicken souvlaki, moussaka, and hummus; you get the choice of rice pilaf or couscous. After many years of enjoying Greek cuisine, this was my most memorable moussaka; you can see it hidden beneath the generous mound of gyros. It’s a small Greek Shepherds Pie. The aromatic Greek herbs and spices permeates the meat and give real taste and a heady aroma. Wow ... I’m definitely coming back for more!
My best friend and I brought my mother and sister here while they were visiting from Denver. I have always wanted to eat here. Though there was no indoor dining allowed they were very accommodating in getting a table for the four of us outside of the restaurant. The older gentleman was quite attentive, as well as the nice woman that brought us our food. As a vegetarian I really enjoyed the falafel platter, the falafels were very tasty. Although the couscous was not very good. Also, the gentleman suggested a Greek wine only to return and say it wasn't available, that was very disappointing. I would give a 5 star on kindness and service alone but I also must take into account the food and an item advertised on the menu that wasn't available. I do wish you the best during this time, and am grateful for your caring attitude. Having been all over Greece myself I am aware this is their kind nature. σας ευχαριστώ
Been going for years. The food is worth the wait, and the couple who own it, Maggie and Tony, are salt of the earth!
No matter what else you order, you must start out with the saganaki, which is Greek cheese, and after pouring a fine wine over it, the server ignites it, and then the flame is put out with a squeeze of lemon. Absolutely fantastic and that alone is worth the trip! Also, some of the best gyros meat I have ever tasted!
Excellent Greek food with excellent service. I have been coming here for 20+ years when I am craving Greek food and am NEVER disappointed! Pegasus does not advertise yet keeps bringing the customers back.
We have been here for lunch and the Gyro sandwiches are very good. Generous serving of meat especially if u order the Super Gyro. My only complain is that the service is quite slow, so do allocate more time for ur lunch break. Highly recommended
This is a pretty good little hole in the wall. My husband and I especially love their specialty feta cheese dip. Everything else is pretty good too
This place is absolutely amazing. My family has been ordering here since I can't even remember when. So I thought it was about time, maybe even a little late, to write a review.
The family that runs the Pegasus Café is super great, and of course, the food is too. They always do an excellent job, and I can't remember ever being inconvenienced or dissatisfied when ordering from them. It is always a good experience.
This establishment is very reliable, and I'm sure that's one of the many reasons people keep coming back, like my family and me. One of our all-time favorite things to order is the Baklava. My family definitely recommends it. We get it every time we order here :) and it does not disappoint.
Along with many other customers, I would definitely recommend this fantastic restaurant. We have been delighted with our experience.

After hearing so many rave reviews of Pegasus from my delivery diners, I knew I had to try it, and I am so happy I did! Every dish we ordered was simply wonderful.. We had three starters, two entrees, and the price point is very fair for generous portions. This is not like fast, chain “Greek” fare, this is real, homemade, satisfying food made with care, and so much more complex and delicious. The owners are warm and attentive, there are vegan and vegetarian options, and a great variety of dishes for takeout and delivery. I enthusiastically recommend trying this restaurant!
Pegasus is now open for indoor dining. There is not a better place to enjoy authentic, homemade, Mediterranean cuisine. If you have not tried, or have enjoyed their take out and delivery service this past year, stop in and you will be welcomed warmly by the owners, Maggie and Tony. You will enjoy spectacular service and food, in a comforting and charming cafe.
And leave room for dessert. If you’ve never had homemade baklava before, it is a very special treat..here it is flaky, fresh filo pastry, delicately layered with the filling..very unlike what you find premade in most stores and restaurants. A perfect finish to enjoy with some coffee or tea.
The best Greek food in San Diego hands down! I’m from Chicago and have had some of the best gyro joints in the country, this place is right up there with the best. Also the staff is always super nice and welcoming, portion sizes are great and prices are fair. I highly recommend this place.
Very fresh food. Took a bit long to get our food even though it wasn't crowded. Lower prices for a lot of stuff mon-fri 3-6.
