Smoked ahi tuna taco the spicy octopus the octopus and shrimp app, the flan, the drinks! The staff the place !!!!! What can I say ?! It made me feel at home ! Food was outstanding !!!!! Congratulations !
Tacos are AMAZING!! Happy Hour all day!! Can't go wrong with that!!!
Stopped here for a quick bite & ended up with the barria taco (so delicious) and the spicy cucumber margarita. The margarita was strong & not too spicy. I would go back just to get the barria taco, the sauce was one of the better ones i’ve had. The meal also came with 3 salsas which were perfect compliment for our tacos.
The team of waitresses, servers & bussers only added to our experience. They were all lovely to interact with and the service was timely.
I absolutely loved the asada tacos, grilled chicken tacos, and their chips and salsa. The drinks were good too! It's a bit pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. I ate there twice in the 5 days I was visiting San Diego.
Had chipotle shrimp tacos with cheese, grilled fish tacos and fish tacos. I appreciated that they had many varieties of tacos! Food was tasty! Regular fish tacos (not the grilled fish) was my favorite of all three tacos!
Waiter was nice, courteous and helpful!
Restaurant also had many seats and a bar!
Overall good experience! 😀 Thank you Serrano’s
We took our kids here around 6-7pm. I suspect that going earlier in the evening helps with the restaurant not being crowded. We were able to get a table right away.
The drinks... the coconut margarita is way too sweet to be called a margarita. The horchata martini is sweet but more manageable. The organic margarita is the "house" margarita. It's fair, but not exceptional. This location doesn't have the full selection of tequilas that the Coronado location has. They offer 2oz pours of the few tequilas they offer.
The food is decent-good. The AL pastor tacos are very good.
All in all, it's worth trying this restaurant.
There's a small outdoor patio which called our name. Chips were good. They had a variety of salsas that were on the creamy side (one was very spicy and went great on the seafood burrito). Had a clubby feel to it which means you are in the gas lamp district.

This Serrano's Street Tacos & Bar restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying at for the weekend and we were very happy we did. It was literally at the back of Andaz Hotel in the Gas Lamp District and it was as authentic as can be! We had amazing margaritas and tacos "tasting" where we were able to taste all flavors of tacos. Needless to say, their Don Julio ,margaritas along with their authentic tacos were a hit. Ambiance was really nice and clean. Service was just perfect. Overall, it was great.
First off, midday had a pretty chill vibe. The music was a little loud inside for my taste. I sat outside and enjoyed the cool air. Their al pastor burrito was delicious and for only $9 I think it's a perfect combination of deliciousness and value. Something that I really enjoyed were the sauces. The lightest green sauce is a mild and creamy sauce. The orange sauce is savory with a little more spice and the slightly darker green sauce was spicy and full of flavor. I really enjoyed my meal and even forgot to take any photos of the food until I was over halfway through! As simple as it was, the little serving of black beans was also delicious. I recommend this place and will diversify my order next time for sure!
This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and luckily we took the advice. We had such an awesome time. Just having the opportunity to eat inside was a special treat! ( in Los Angeles, all indoor dining is still closed due to Pandemic). The ambience of this restaurant was just perfect for us. The Latin music was festive, but not too loud. Our food was delicious 😋 . We shared a combination Shrimp, Steak and Chicken Fajita, and it was plenty of food for us.
I was served with the utmost friendliness and care. Not to mention that the garlic shrimp and arrachera tacos were incredibly delicious and competed in flavour with Mexico City tacos which is a high standard. Highly recommended!
Had a pleasant experience here. The bartender was friendly and helpful on deciding drinks and brought our food out very fast. We were the only ones there for lunch since most of the foottraffic at the time was on Fifth Street close to the convention center. I'd love to go back and try something else off their menu
