Totally different
I never expected to be served food in a plastic bag, to be eating food off of a table (no plates) to be eating rice with my hands and enjoy it. Although I cannot say I really enjoyed it the food was good and the experience was great.
Timing is everything because this place gets busy like every good restaurant in Mira Mesa. We came in just before the dinner hour and beat the crowd. Be prepared to get messy. The food comes in buckets and you dump everything on the covered table to share. It's messy and fun. Some are prepared cajun style, so be prepared for some heat. Order sides to complete the feast!
Got our hands dirty with the amazing crabs and prawns that this place serves during my last visit to San Diego. This place is amazing and all of the sauces that come with the crab are delicious. Try eating the Cajun fries after dipping the in any of the sauces, it tastes heavenly!!
We enjoyed this resturant. You do not get plates or utinsels, but you get deliciuos food. We had King Crab Legs, Shrimps, Potatoes and Corn on the cup. We had the "Sha bang" seasoning mild, it was good. Be prepared to get your hands messy but it worth it.
Well known seafood restaurant often visit here for its crab along with fried calamari, Cajun chowder, Cajun fries, sweet potato fries, shrimp, and mussels. The chowder was spicier than the sauce for its corn, though there is no spicy option for the all seafood served in the restaurant. Whole crab will not be served in pieces but can ask the staff to split into parts. Overall taste was decent after 30 minute waiting for table even though there is available empty seats, service was acceptable.
The wings were very crispy and dusted with red pepper. They were just okay tasting to me. Nothing really special and tasted like something I could make at home.
Ordered 2lbs shrimp to go with sausage and corn. It was good but too spicy for mild.
Our first time here for hand caught seafood and it is so good! Re-ordered clams, crawfish and corn several times. Everyone is friendly, quick to serve, and replace our order immediately after remembering the wrong one.
We had a blast. Food is delicious and service is pretty fast. The place is always crowded. It's a fun experience. I personally lobe dumping everything on the table over my rice
Food was amazing like always and Beer was cold! Flew in from Texas for the holidays and had to stop by here first. The nearest TBC from home is 8 hours away in Dallas. Service was excellent! Very polite and great customer service by our waitress. I asked for her name but totally forgot. We had a minor issue with our fries, took about 15 minutes to get so they were removed from the bill. Only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because they don't offer a Veteran's discount. As the wife of a Navy Vet, it shows them they are appreciated. It goes a long way.
The first time I went there was everything perfect. I enjoyed everything. The second time, the service little made us wait for the last order of the rice, like 15 minutes' wait. We in the middle are eating, and we have to stop for the rice to come. Overall, we are still enjoying all the food we order.
I'm not from the area, so when a friend suggested this place I was all over it!! Everything tasted amazingly!!! Definitely a go to anytime you are in town! The wait for the food to a bit of time, but it was so worth the wait!
The bathrooms were cleaned often and in great shape. Masks are still required to enter their restaurant.
My first time eating cajun seafood and it was absolutely amazing. Our server Angie was super friendly and attentive.
The food is very fresh and tasty! I do recommend coming here bit early to get in line if you are coming in for dinners and/or on weekends.
Absolutely delicious. The best seafood in SD County. Very fresh. High quality seafood. Service is great also. The wait is pretty long to dine in, but they do have take out.

Walked in and put my name on the list. I like that they text you twice, having the 2nd text be "your table is ready".
There were only 2 things not available today: live crayfish & something else that I don't remember and don't eat.
I ordered for the table - 6 oysters, 1 gumbo, 10 cajun wings, 3lbs of sausage in shebang in all 3 levels of hot, 4lbs of snow crab in shebang in all 3 levels of hot, 3lbs of shrimp in all 3 levels of hot, 3 corns in butter, 4 rice, diet coke, Sapporo, & a michelada.
Everything was so delicious. Angela was our server and she was great and then Isaiah.
The oysters were fresh, no grit or anything. The wings were spectacular as was the snow crab. The shrimp was nicely cooked and juicy. Not overdone at all. Corn was over done, so it was okay.
I wish they had another location like in San Marcos. I would go every week.
The flavor and consistency here is always on point! We always order a 0.5 lb of shrimps, whole sha bang mild / XXL, onion rings (a recent addition), and cajun fries. This will always be a stop any time we’re craving a seafood boil. We’ve never had to wait too long, but we always avoid dinner times. Highly recommend to others looking for a seafood adventure :)
A unique experience! Seafood like Crawdads, muscles, shrimp and clams eaten by hand. Choice of spices and sides. If you love seafood, very delicious, highly recommended.

Service was awesome. There really is no way to cleanly enjoy shrimp, snow crab legs, Dungeness crab, crabber fries, potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. Lol... but it's good!!!

Always come here for the whole shabang shimp and the crabs. I do take outs usually, and it is always great. They always give out paper table covers and is super easy to eat at home :>
