Right off the bat the service was excellent!! Honestly I have been to many restaurants and the service here was top notch!!! The food was very good and authentic Italian. I greatly recommend it!
This is my new favorite authentic Italian restaurant downtown. Amazing appetizer fradiablo, Caesar salad, fresh garlic pasta with shrimp, and phenomenal tiramisu. Everyone must stop in.... wait staff is so nice as well.
We had excellent service and amazing food. The staff was attentive and kept us laughing. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the staff interact with the people passing by. We will definitely come back.
My boyfriend reserved a table for us on Valentine’s Day. We had the choice of upstairs or downstairs, my boyfriend chose upstairs because he thought it would be more secluded and private. The food was AMAZING!! Appetizer, entree’, dessert.... even the bread was fantastic!! Our server was fantastic and attentive!! The other staff were welcoming and the over all experience was great!! We will definitely be returning. The only and I mean ONLY downside was that the upstairs was decorated with tacky valentine’s decorations, literally paper Cupid’s and heart packaging taped to the wall. It looked like Grandma’s house is the 1970’s and she shopped at the 99cent store. It was really bizarre and made ya feel like we made a terrible choice. Luckily the amazing food and service made up for the tacky valentine decor upstairs. Downstairs was beautiful and modern. Again, we will be back, everything was great it was just weird decor upstairs.
Everything was excellent, from the service to the food! Highly recommend and will definitely go again when in town!

Honestly one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever had. The sausage was amazing as was the chicken Parmigiano.
What really just topped a wonderful evening off with my kids, was the beautiful atmosphere and the above and beyond staff. Regularly checked on, food was so hot & fresh, I honestly wish I had more time here in San Diego to just try everything they have on the menu.

Amazing customer service and delicious food! The doordash driver took over an hour to deliver my food! The restaurant owner offered to remake it! I am extremely impressed by the customer service and the food quality! I recommend eating at this restaurant 😊
This restaurant is to die for. Food is so delicious I want to go again. The mignonette was so tender and so delicous, fettuccine alfredo was so tasty the pasta tasted home made, the sauce was so creamy and well seasoned. Best italian in San diego for sure. Go check it out
Food was delicious, will give it that. In regards to atmosphere & decor thinking back there was nothing particular to tell the truth that I remember at all unfortunately, other then the food.
This place has such delicious pasta, I came twice in one week! I really appreciate the pasta being made from scratch and the sauces too! I tried one with tomato sauce and one with cream sauce, both were marvelous! Carlos my server was so friendly and professional. Highly recommend this place.
This place is amazing and the food is just spectacular. Best Italian food I had outside of Italy. Had the shrimp in cognac sauce and it was delicious. I had the best white wine ever there. The owner, Sergio recommended Cantina Puiatti and he clearly knows his stuff. Really enjoyed the sorbetto and the creme brûlée. . You can't go wrong with this place for date night. The owner was super welcoming and the service excellent. Highly recommend.

Located on 4th Ave and F st. right next to magic store and the Laugh Factory, this beautiful restaurant is the perfect start to a great night out in downtown San Diego.
Roma Mia also offers a large open ViP area upstairs, the ideal setting for hosting private parties.
Amazing food! I can't express how great the food at this place is. I don't even feel like typing out a long review because I keep thinking back to the ravioli. If you're looking to eat somewhere, just walk in the door. You won't regret it.

For Valentine's day, we were craving Italian and got a reservation at Roma Mia. The location is right in the middle of gaslamp quarters in front of Balboa theater and easy to find. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the interior was lovely. However, the table in the corner was a bit squished and we were very close to the people sitting next to us. We were close enough to hear their conversation but the seating arrangements might just be for Valentine's day. We got the last reservation for our time slot so we were expecting the restaurant to be packed, but most of the tables were empty.
For food, we ordered the bruschetta assortment, ravioli ricota e spinaci, and tagliolini gamberi e limone. The bruschetta sampler was an unique experience. The menu didn't specify which ones we were getting so we were pleasantly surprised when we tried each one. They came with a mushroom spread, tomatoes, olive spread, and garlic spread. The pastas were pretty good too. We enjoyed the tagliolini which had shrimps in a lemon tomato sauce. The pasta was al dente. The presentation was very nice. The spinach ravioli was also flavorful. The portions were a bit small though. There was only 5 raviolis. The meal was a bit pricey for the portion size, but the taste was solid.
Owner is awesome. Food was delicious. And the home made Tiramisu was unbelievable. Avoid the messy, crowded restaurants and come to Roma Mia. You will not be disappointed.
Came here with my friend for her birthday and it was perfect! The owner is very attentive and kind. I ordered the Tagliata and it was a bit pricey but so worth it! Tender meat, delightful sauce, & perfectly crisped potatoes. We ordered creme brulee for my friend and they were thoughtful enough to put a candle in it. Only critique would be that the espresso martinis tasted a bit watery. Will absolutely be back to this place.

Very limited menu. What we had was a solid B grade. Ossobuco Con Riso was nice. No bread was served, not typical of Italian restaurants. Atmosphere is a B-.
