Their sushi is always bomb, best ever, if you go, try the tomato roll, I don't know why it's called that, there are no tomatoes in it, it's out of this world, and so beautiful! It tastes as good as it looks! There shashimi is incredible! I go every time I visit, I'm from Az! Worth every penny! You won't be disappointed! 10 stars! ❤️❤️❤️🌊☀️🦋🍱!!!

The New York strip steak is personally grilled by the owner. It is perfection. The bar is the best in OB and the Manhattans are terrific. They are also kid and family friendly. My 9 year old loves the Udon Nooodles.

Amazing experience. Got the Philly roll and Abe's roll, both were delicious. The sushi chefs were friendly and very talented. One noticed I was chilled sitting by the door (I didn't say anything) and he went and closed the door and said "you looked cold, I could see bumps on your arms!" It was so thoughtful. Highly recommend this place.
This place is great. The food is extremely fresh and the portion sizes are very generous. The owner, Yuri, constantly makes her way around the place to make sure everyone is happy and the food is up to par. Great place to come if you're in San Diego.

This is my go to sushi bar. I love this place. The food is so delicious. No one can make a volcano roll like these guys and the salads are amazing with their custom dressing. The people are beyond nice and friendly. I've been to a lot of sushi places in San Diego but I keep going back to this one!
This is nice small restaurant. It has been in ocean Beach for many years. I enjoy the salmon skin salad and some of the traditional style sushi. It can get busy but it is worth the wait. If you like fancy friend rolls and that sort.of thing, you can get them anywhere, but for clean and fresh traditional, there is not a better place in OB.

As OB residents, this is our favorite sushi joint. The prices are reasonable and the rolls all have a very good portion of fish on them. The regular rolls feel like a steal when compared to what you'd get for the same price at other places on Newport.
The only downside is that even though we order online and show up at the estimated time, we pretty much always have to wait. There have also been a few misses (over many visits): the protein roll is not very good and the edamame portion is small for some reason.
Overall, definitely recommend!
This is a great, family-run Japanese restaurant right near the beach in the OB. Service was fast and friendly and they gave me good suggestions when I asked. The dumplings were a little burnt, which is the only reason they are losing a star, but I see many more pictures where they look perfectly cooked so I'm sure it was just a distracted night for the chef. The prices were very reasonable and the sashimi salad and saketini were delicious.
