It is interesting when I search the keyword Himalaya on yelp, it pops more than 10 restaurants within 10 miles. Not all of them have the word, but most have. Why so many India /Nepal/Tibet restaurants around here? It took me more than 15 minutes to find a parking lot, almost every restaurant in the plaza has customers waiting outside. I used Hindi and Tibeten to greet the waiter, none of them get any respond. I assume he is a Nepalian, he barely speak English. We ordered the lunch special, and obviously, they served ours to the lay next table. The taste was really good though. Even I don't know whether it's our order. Most of them look the same. Anyway, very good taste. Recommend if you can find a parking lot.

Amazing! From the complimentary Dal soup to the fresh Veg Momos, Himalayan Vegetable Soup, and the Mango Lassi. 5/5. Both front and the kitchen staff were very friendly and accommodating. The ambience, decor and the location is stunning!

I am so excited to have the Taste of the Himalayas in my own neighborhood! My roommate has brought home takeout from this location before, and tonight I brought my visiting family there for dinner. The space is small as usual, the decor a little odd at this location. Thankfully it was not crowded at 6:30pm on a Thursday, so we were seated right away. We ordered four dishes, one side of momo, and two naan to share. All five of us were stuffed, and I have lunch packed for tomorrow. Staff was wonderful, attentive, and friendly. Happy I got to introduce my parents to some of my favourite fare so close to home!

Hidden in the corner of the Renaissance shopping center. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Outside seating also available. Prices reasonable. Had the salmon salad and the plate was full with a good amount on heated and flavorful salmon. Dressing was delicious too. Other dishes are similar to Thai etc. I highly recommend you visiting this restaurant.

Finding parking during lunch can be tough here but you can always do street parking. You can order ahead of time even with a group reservation. Lunch special is reasonably priced. Chicken masala with Saag Aloo is flavorful and good portion size. The staff is friendly too.

This is my first time try Himalayan food, and it taste good for me. You can smell the different spices from the dish, and the ingredients are fully stewed. We also tried their garlic naan, which is crispy with really nice garlic smell. The servers are friendly and they serve the food really quick. The only thing I don't like is that the food is kinda expensive. I'm not sure what's the reasonable price for Himalayan food, but the entree (a small pot of curry with rice) charged me around $17 is more expensive than I expect.

Their Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Chilly are quite exquisite. My friends who have ordered the other menu items were very pleased with their selections as well.

You are on vacation with your old buddies, eating different kind of food but at one point, you crave for your traditional taste. We found this place on our road trip and we simply loved the food. Food was delecious so as the hospitality of staff/owner ( we called her didi). Momos were extra big. So far, this was best food during this trip. Will definitely visit again.

Very good. Dal Tadka was flavorful but had a little too much salt. Table behind me said food had too much salt as well. The garlic naan was also well done but was a little thin. Price was reasonable.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the San Diego area! The food was incredibly flavorful. It was obvious that they're using fresh ingredients and making everything from scratch. I was very impressed! I was also delighted that they had so many wonderful vegan options. I would caution those who can't handle spice to request mild preparation. I asked for medium spice and nearly regretted it. Borderline too spicy for me, but I still enjoyed my meal thoroughly! Wonderful service too... I believe the owner also operates it.
