I recommend Sufi> It is pretty good. I try to return every other week. The food comes out slow even when they are not busy, but understandable if you order something grilled, that it may take time. The orders are sometimes missing either the lemon or the butter even the sumac powder seasoning packets so the staff should be careful when expediting. The rice however is always delicious!! . I have mixed feelings from one visit when I ordered an Iranian dish *( forgot the name ) and I was served another dish but what really bothered me was I saw the same containers inside Balboa International Market that are sold in the cold section " as reheat dinner containers" to the left of the back of the store. So I deduce, that when Sufi advertises "SPECIALS" for xxx dish, it is because they are trying to sell whatever stews are left and then the microwave to serve dine in customers. I just do not believe that it was made SAME DAY. Only the grill platters are the best in my opinion. Thank you!

We recently hosted a family event and chose Sufi Mediterranean Cuisine as our venue. Our order included chicken kabob, Koobideh kabob, and khoreshteh gheymeh. The gheymeh, in particular, stood out as one of the best stews I've had in recent years. The chicken kabob and koobideh were equally delightful. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was also exceptional and prompt. I wholeheartedly recommend Sufi Mediterranean Cuisine for your next event or gathering. Their delectable dishes and outstanding service will undoubtedly enhance your dining experience.

Sufi is a no-frills Mediterranean restaurant connected to a traditional Mediterranean grocery store. They serve a wide variety of kabobs as well as sultanis and koobidehs. You can substitute the rice side on entrees for salad or fries, and the salad can be upgraded to a Greek salad for a small amount. The hummus is a little bland, I needed to add salt and pepper. The lamb was my favorite of the meats I tried, as the ground beef tastes as if it is mixed with something else (even if it isn’t). The Greek salad is quite tasty. The atmosphere is simple: an open, high-ceiling building with an array of long tables and a few booths. The dining area is roomy and the chairs are fairly comfortable. You order at one of two counters, the food comes fairly quickly, and you can easily ask for anything at said counters if you need to.

Good Mediterranean/Iranian food. You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. The food was good. They had ample space for seating.

Excellent Persian food with huge portion and friendly service. It’s a very large and casual place. Really enjoyed the good.

We choose the traditional koobideh kabob, hummus and yogurt cucumber dip. I recommend to take an additional side to add more flavour to the salad or even with rice. In my opinion, the size is big, if you order a meal and sides, it's more than enough for two people.

Great Persian restaurant. We ordered kobeeda Kebob combo, kobeeda Kebob wrap with fries, baba ganoush and yogurt appetizer. Everything was delicious and portions were reasonable. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating and they also have a hall attached for booking parties. Their Persian black tea with sugar was good as well.

I commemorated my baby shower at Sufi, where they ensured the utmost care for me and my guests. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the delectable cuisine, with the Qabuli Palow dish standing out as fantastic. The chicken and beef kebabs, chicken karahi were amazing, along with several other dishes. I highly recommend this place for both dining and private parties; they truly excel in both aspects.

My daughter and I enjoyed eating at this spacious restaurant with music and delicious food. I had chicken tandori kabob with specialty rice. This rice was flavored with dates, lentils, and raisans. We also had creamy hummus with triangles of bread. Service was excellent.

Prices are a bit steep but still a nice place to eat. Meat is cooked perfectly and the rice was great.

Great quality food. Nice portions. My husband got the beef and chicken combo and I got the veggie platter and both were wonderful.

Good quality food at very reasonable prices. They built a decent sized room for takeout and eat in during the pandemic. We came here regularly for simple Iranian food (koobideh, kabobs, wraps, etc.) but have yet to try their restaurant side, which used to serve buffett on weekends. From out most recent visit, the beef koobideh wrap was very good; tender and flavorful. The French fries that came with it were little on the soft side and can benefit from 2 more minutes in the frier. The veggie gheimeh bademjan (eggplant and lentil soup) was hearty and the portion was good, too.

Not very good food quality but amazing employees and perfect customer service. I wanted to give 3 or 2 stars to the food, but I give 4 stars just for the employees.

The employees are polite and respectful, the menu looks great. I had a gyros wrap that came with fries. Great price at around $10 after tax, but it was not very good. The gyros meat was lukewarm and kind of stale (?), and there were only a few slices of it in an overall small wrap. I asked the person at the counter if they had anything like hot sauce, and was told no. So only ketchup… kind of odd. I think that if I go back here, I’ll try other items. But not going to get the gyros again.

So far the best Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food I have had in San Diego. Meat warm, well cooked and not too salty. A little bit on the pricey side, but ok for us. Excellent range of dishes including dishes that are traditional Persian dishes that I had not heard of before. I think I will try some of these in future, although I am not sure about the tongue sandwich 😅 Lots of seating inside and also some outside. Lots of free parking around. Amazing non-Western market next door, too. Also great for general groceries
