Ramen Yamadaya is one of my top 5 ramen joints in this great City of San Diego. Their tonkatsu is clean and balanced. The pork belly is the bomb diggity if you can stomach the calories. The roasted pork is also very delicious. The shio is good but not their string
For a side dish the Yamadaya bu
Ramen was delicious. Their Pork belly with bun was not bad but the pork was a bit dry.
Great ramen. I ordered the Kakuni Shoyu (pork broth with soy sauce base) and it was excellent. The broth was rich and this ramen came with braised pork and pork belly. The pork belly was tender and had a good flavor from whatever marinade they used to make it. The service was great, but it took awh
waiting and nice food. seats in outside is better. My choice is Tonkotsu spicy lv 2. It is quite hot.
Great ramen the broth was on point. The pork belly was tender and delicious 👍
Ordered Tonkotsu Shoyu, chewy thin noodles, rich soup. Get free extra noodles if you present your student ID.
I've been going here on and off for years. The spicy ramen is my favorite in the area, I've tried plenty and sometimes I prefer other places but most of the time I crave Ramen Yamadaya. It's consistently delicious while the other places are not. I'm not a big Japanese food fan so I'm not sure if I c
Ramen Yum-a-day-YES is what this place should be called. It is downright tasty and super authentic. When you first drive into the strip mall and see the restaurant, you might not think much of it. But once you enter, you are led into a huge, modern patio area. The menu has a lot of offerings and I h
I love this place! My only gripe is the portion of meat that they give you. But otherwise, if you bring a student ID they give you extra noodles. They had their signature garlic and garlic press (so you can add as much fresh garlic as you'd like). But I think this place has been going downhill ever
Good food and reasonable waiting time. Prices are reasonable.
One of the best in San Diego. Great balance of value and quality. It won't break the bank even if you get one of the higher end ramen bowls and throw on kara-age as a combo, but it also isn't low quality. The 20 hour pork broth is flavorful, rich, but not overly salty. This place is always in my rot
Ome of my favorite ramen places around! Good comfort food, good portions for price, service is quick. Self-seating. Small menu that's easy to understand. Karage chicken, can't go wrong with it, however you may need to ask for more dipping sauce.
We ate here once years ago and were trying so hard to find it again. Now that we have we will be there anytime we want ramen. It was the best tonkotsu we ever had! Don't fall for the buzz of the other popular ramen shops in the area, this pork broth is the real deal.
Tasty ramen, good portion for a reasonable price. If you show your student ID you can get extra noodles or rice for no extra charge.
Lots of seating. The storefront looks small, but it opens up to the side. Parking is a bit of a pain. We came in Sunday evening around 6 and there was no wait though,
